The Knight glance past Kailan's shoulder, gazing out towards the tunnel beyond the three. "... Not much longer now." Aeden then sighed and glanced back towards Rakhelis. "Be ready, the men of Westeros may not be as fierce as the Dothraki, but they are just as savage..."

As if by fate, the tunnel led each of the three to a sudden and abrupt dead end, just shy of the sounds of hoofbeats and swords clashing with shields. "... No... Father, he must have sealed it off..." The Reyne heir slammed his gauntlet against the heavy stone and turned away, looking slowly towards the other two. "Do you smell that?" Aeden asked, removing his helm to hone in on the familiar scent from his past. "Get back... This'll only take a moment."

"All it requires is a single spark from the metal and..." He trailed off, just as he struck his blade with a rock, causing hundreds of tiny sparks to scatter along the ground and against the massive boulder. A moment passed as the lights faded. "... There it goes." Aeden smiled lightly as a translucent design began to glow amongst the stone boulder.

"Lion's heart we hold..." The Kingsguard murmured as the design faded, just before the ground beneath the three began to rumble, the massive stone splitting apart with ease. "Onwards?"

Immediatly the party charged into battle lead by the Noblest of the group, Ser Ormund Baratheon. Dunk did not follow suit, instead he turn to his new acquaintance.

Ser Aeden

The Reyne made his way over to his Lord and Father, wasting no time to bother with the warm heart to heart most fathers had for their long lost sons. "Aeden, what in the gods are you doing here?!" The commander shouted, just as another volley of enemy arrows pelted the ground of Castamere's courtyard.

"Leo sent a raven, I came as soon as I could." The young soldier said to his Father.

"... I'll be sure to scold him after we fend off that Golden Lion at our doorstep!" The Large battle-ready commander called out loud enough for the troops around to hear.

"Aye, we have a force of riders coming in from the East, they can assist in the defense of our people as they evacuate." The young Lion said, only immediately fell into silence as his Lord turned to him, a prideful fire in his eyes.

"Lion's Heart we hold... Or has your time in the capital tarnished your honor!?" The Mighty Lion roared, before pushing the Kingsguard to the ground.

Aeden stood in a rigid manner, trying his best to retain any amount of dignity that could be found within the golden chestplate he bore. "... There is no honor in death, not for you, not for our family, and not for our people. There will be nothing but rubble and we will be forever known as the Lion's who fell." The Knight felt his body tremble beneath the tattered cloak that covered the gold, knowing all too well the kind of man his father was. That the Lion would just as easily condemn his fourteen year old daughter to death, before shaming his pride.

"... Go, take your sisters through the tunnels... Then get back here and make sure you do your part in this fight." The Reyne Lord sneered, then went off to command the main gate's sentries, leaving the three warriors behind.

The Kingsguard turned slowly towards Kailan, then to Rakhelis, not uttering a single word. Aeden then nodded towards the inner keep of Castamere, before starting off in it's direction.

Not only that, but a horde of Lannister soldiers began to swarm inside all at once. "We need to hold them off, Rakhelis, you and Kailan hold this position, do not let a single Lannister get past this point... I will return, you have my word." "Leo sent for me, but that doesn't matter, we need to get everyone into the catacombs... Where's Thalia and Juno?" Aeden uttered the last bit, realizing his sisters were nowhere in sight.

"They were taken to the vault the moment the Lannisters began their assault, surely they will be safe there...?" Lady Reyne looked to her long lost son and heir, the black sheep of the family.

Aeden shook his head, a worrisome glance shown for less than a second. It was all it took, for the Lady began to sob, feeling her entire world falling apart before her. "Mother! We mus'nt toil, the lives of everyone within these walls may depend on those old crypts. Now go spread the word, I'll go to the vault."

"Lord Reyne! It appears we broke your door!" The Young Lannister cried out as his eyes locked with the Red Lion's.

"The bloody fool, eighty dragons to the man that kills that Lannister!" Lord Erek roared, drawing his crimson blade as the swarms flooded into the courtyard. The Lion of Castamere then strode onward, advancing with his Vanguard, cutting down Lannister soldiers with ease. It was a flurry of crimson cloaks, all charging against the outnumbering forces of the Golden Lion. For each Reyne that fell in battle, their fearlessness took even more with them to the grave...

Ser Aeden

"By the gods..." Aeden uttered as he came up on the vault. Eight Crimson-cloaked Sentinels all drew their pikes, aiming them towards the rugged Knight.

"Ser Aeden! Stand down you lot!" Announced a familiar voice from behind the iron gate the eight protected. A moment passed as locks were turned and unset, up until the heavy door swung open revealing Aeden's sisters and Maester Dumas.

"Maester." The Kingsguard nodded out of respect for his old friend, then glanced towards the sisters he hadn't seen since the day he took to the White Cloaks. "Thalia... Juno... I-We don't have the time... All of you, we must fall back to the catacombs. It is the only way we will ever make it out of this alive." Aeden insisted, turning his gaze from his family.

"We finally see you after all this time and all you do is boss us around?! Some things never change." Thalia grumbled, obviously hurt by her brother's lack of emotion, a sentiment she didn't persist. Not a moment passed before the two were right behind Aeden, following their Kingsguard down to the depths of Castamere.

The Lannister smiled as his second wave flooded the gates of Castamere. It was his day, the day Gerold Lannister would prove once and for all, who truly were the rightful Lions of Westeros.

"Ahh!" Erek Reyne roared as a Lannister soldier stuck his spear into the Lord's exposed leg. "You bloody cunt!" The Lion roared as he struck down the warrior, his heavy longsword crushing the helmet the Lannister bore. The Lord then turned to his Castle, his home. "... By all that is beautiful in this world, we will hold!"

"Lion's heart we hold!" Cried the Reynes as they mounted their last and final counter against the invading force of Lannisters.

Ser Aeden

"Where's Leo?!" Juno said as she took Aeden's arm, stopping the group in their tracks. Juno was the oldest of the Reyne heirs, albeit only older than Aeden by a mere four months. She was supposed to be married off weeks ago, if not for the siege that stood in her way.

The Kingsguard shook his head, glancing hesitantly towards his sister and the Maester behind them. "I do not know... I'm sorry." He uttered, then started once more for the catacombs of Castamere. The Knight's worn cloak dangled behind him as the Warrior moved at a hastened speed, his family and friends from an age past following closely behind.

Before long, Aeden found himself yet again before his mother, Lady Reyne. "Juno, Thalia, come come." She insisted, motioning to her only daughters. The Kingsguard's eyes met with hers, "Stay safe..." Lady Reyne then took Juno and Thalia into the fold of commoners and the other folk all seeking refuge within the depths.

"Goodbye mother..." The Knight whispered as he watched his mother and sisters disappear before the crowd. He then turned to the Eight Reyne Sentinels. "You five, stay here and make sure this place is sealed off before taking to the road..." Aeden nodded towards the warriors, then looked to the remaining three. "Let's go kill us a Lannister..." The Kingsguard smiled, then went back the way he came, his sentinels following with swords drawn and shields raised.

The Lannister's grin showed through his opened helm. "You should've taken my offer you fool..." Golden mused, then swung Lion's Roar. In that instant, Lord Erek deflected the strike by directing the Lannister's blade with his own. Erek then smashed his metal gauntlet right into the open helm of Golden, knocking the man to the ground. The fighting in proximity to the battle wasn't nearly as climatic as the dual of the Lions.

"If the Reynes fall this day, then we will be remembered as the courageous!" Lord Erek roared, striking down a soldier who was attempting to defend his Lord Lannister. Only this distraction bought Golden just enough time to retrieve his sword and stand before the Reyne of Castamere.

"Get him boys!" Gerold announced, raising his blade high in the air. Just like that, three Lannister swordsman were on Lord Erek as if Dragons circling their prey.

"I'll tear down every last one of you if I have to!" Erek growled, then began to parry, knocking away one of his opponent's blades before sticking the Soldier with his Crimson blade. Gerold spat in the Lord's direction, then went in for the kill. He ran at the Reyne swinging his sword with both hands, only to watch as the Lion evaded the strike sending the Lannister's blade into the chest of one of Gerold's own Swordman.

"You treacherous cunt!" Golden shouted, reteiving his blade with such force that his blade tore through the swordsman's body.

As Lord Erek limbed slightly the remaining Lannister Swordsman struck the Reyne directly in the side, cutting deep with the cold forged steel. "Bastard!" The Red Lion roared, countering with his longsword, his own blade cutting deeper through the soft patch in the Swordman's armor.

Golden held his sword level to the Reyne, then struck once more. This time the Valyrian sword broke straight through the Lord's Crimson blade, cutting it in two. Lord Erek leapt onto the Lannister, holding his shattered sword against the man's throat. He only managed to slice a small nick in the Lion's neck before a Lannister Soldier grabbed the Reyne and threw him off his prey. The soldier then kicked the Reyne with his steel boot, knocking the Lord into a state of half-consciousness.

"You... I had him... The Lion grumbled as he retrieved his Valyrian sword, only to smile as he saw the Reyne unable to get up. "And this day, you perish from the world." Gerold removed his helmet, his long rough hair flowing in the wind.

"Father!" Lord Erek heard, giving the old man one last ounce of strength to die with dignity. He rose to his knees, spotting his long lost son in the near distance. "Lion's Heart... We Hold..." The Reyne said, just before being impaired from behind, the silver edge protruding from the Lord's armor.
