It was 219 AC, during the Great Spring Sickness when a greater tragedy struck the Seven Kingdoms, the murder of King Aerys I Targaryen, his family and most of his court. The next heir is but a child. This time of turmoil and sickness brings chaos to the land, even more with the threat from the rising from East…

With the king day, ambitions rise. Play the Game of Thrones, work your way, rule the kingdom or serve the babe. Remember In the Game of Thrones, there is no middle ground, you win or you die.

~~~
This Role Play will be set in King's Landing, the capital of Westeros. You may play your part no matter the size or nobility, as it is a time of chaos.
~~~
Some Background Information

The Spring Sickness is an unknown sickness that affects most of Westeros. A man may wake up healthy and die by the evening. There is no cure for this so far

When the Throne room was shut and the blood bath began, the dragons seem to have sensed it. King's Aerys dragon Vermithor burst out of the Dragon pit and flew straight into the throne room breaking past the door. It is said that the Dragon was mad seeing the dead body of its master, it burned the everybody till all that was left was just smoke as ashes.

Ƭhe air was cold that fateful night, nothing but the low chirping of grasshoppers could be heard. Suddenly, as if in defiance of the silent night, a scream was heard, echoing down the halls of the King's throne. Moments later, five armed Knights of the Kingsguard arrived with swords in hand, only to find the throne room littered with the bodies of noblemen and other Knight Sentries. At the far end of the hall, a lone man with pure white hair stood his ground at the foot of the Iron Throne. Before King Aerys were dozens of cloaked men in black, with curved blades shown towards the Targaryen.

The Lord Commander drew his blade and began the charge to assist the Targaryen. "Defend the King!" He shouted, as they all ran after the assassins.

Just as the Knights were in Mid-Charge, a massive beast blew straight through the glass windows, using fire to scorch everything in sight... When it was all over no one remained that wasn't smoldering and blackened on the floor. Even the great Targaryen Dragon was silent, a black sword protruded through his head.

Two Weeks Later...

The young man awoke with a start, tossing from his bed, the roars in his dreams still echoing in his mind. A glimmer of sunlight shown through the window revealing a summer day in Kingslanding.

The young Knight rubbed his eyes, before looking off at the grand view of Kingslanding. He sighed after a moment, then threw on his leather coat of the Kingsguard and strapped on his sheathed blade; Dracarys. "Just another day..." He murmured as he left the Red Keep, walking down into the bustling streets below. Since the death of the Lord Commander, Aeden knew he was next in line, but hadn't been sworn in yet. So far as he knew, the position likely had been taken up by one of the veterans... Or maybe the whole thing had been overlooked cause of how fucked up things had been those last two weeks.

When he read the parchment his heart sank. Jacaerys had just delivered the King's Justice on some pirates, earning him a Valyrian sword and an ugly wound to his side. His sadness turn to rage as he grabbed the messenger demanding an explanation.

"We ride for King's Landing. It seems I have to play a role now..." He commanded his men.
"What is it mi'lord?" Ricord asked, Jacaerys's trusted commander a baseborn from the North. He served faithfully and truthfully, Jacaerys would have been dead without him.

The heir of Griffin Roost hung his head and trotted his mare "I am the Lord Regent"

Analia walked slowly in the shadows of the buildings that towered over her in the great city. She was looking around, bright eyes full of interest and amusement at the world, always in a good mood as she wandered, searching for something that she didn't know she wanted.

"Aeden..." Another Kingsguard nodded as the two past each other.

"Lucius." The Knight replied, walking over to the market in search of his designated advisor to escort back to the Red Keep.

Analia turned towards the market place, going more slowly, listening, eyes scanning the area around her. She was going to the market in search of a new companion, a bird perhaps. Sometimes merchants brought hawks or other rapters to the market place.

The Reyne walked past a few vendors, selling some sort of spiced wine. "Over here, try the new Valyrian Wine, just two Silver!"

Aeden then entered a low hung tent that covered an entire block. The tent served as a sun breaker during the hot days of summer, perfect for vendors selling produce.

A little boy ran past the Knight, brushing past him with ease. "Whoa there, just where do you think you're going with that?" The Kingsguard asked as he took the boy by the arm, revealing the thief. "Didn't think I'd notice?"

"Let me go!" The boy squealed and attempted to peel the Knight's hand off his arm.

The Knight looked towards the woman, then back to the boy. "Choose your targets more carefully, next time." He said to the boy, before letting him go. The boy quickly raced off, with Aeden's small coin pouch in tow. "... Tell me, foreigner, why stick up for him?"

The Young man watched as the woman walked past him and the now towering beast. "You want me to move, little knight?" The Giant of a man spoke in a deep voice.

"... Huh, have it your way then." The Knight shrugged, then drew his blade on the Giant, pointing it right at his heart. "What's say we settle this another time, huh?"

"... I look forward to it, little man." The Burly man grunted, then took his leave.

"Now, where did you run off to?" Aeden murmured as he sheathed his blade, before spotting the woman's silver hair in the distance. "Ah... Damnit."

Lord Jacaerys.

He smelled the city before he got near it. Somehow the stench of the city made him feel welcome. This is my home. As he made his way towards the God's Gate, he eyed the City Watch on the battlement. The Sigil of House Connington made a few of them ran, to inform others he presumed. Jacaerys looked at the Seven Gods surrounding the gates. Their eyes followed him through and the Stranger's eyes seem to glinted. Fitting for the occasion.

When he reached Cobbler Square, he was joined by the City Watch commander mounted on a brown stallion.
"My lord, you are a sight to see in such dire times. We welcome you back to the city and to the Iron Throne" The commander greeted.
Jacaerys nodded "It is nice to see you too, but we don't have time to talk. Gather the officers, Kingsguards, the Grand Maester, the Grand Wisdom Pyromancer. We have important task to attend too. Have them be at Throne room." The commander left with that, racing ahead to the pyromancer's guildhall.
"Ricord, I require your help to seek out a women by the name of Analia. She's foreign"
"There'r lots of foreign mi'lord, how'd I find her?" He scoffed
"Look for her eyes"

He left muttering it should be easy. I am the Lord Regent of the Seven Kingdom now he said to himself, looking at the facing watching as they pass. They would probably recognize him. He spoke for the Throne a dozen times. Lord Jacaerys kept a steady pace on his horse. His sides still hurts, but he does not show it, not in front of this people. He was their hope...for now, he must look like a...King.

The Young Knight stepped out of the market and let out a sigh. "Did I say something wrong?" He murmured to himself, trying to figure why the woman would barely even speak with him. Aeden found himself before the gates leading to the Red Keep.

"Ser Reyne, what news have you on your assignment?" A watch Officer.asked, stepping from the gate.

"Nowhere to be found I'm afraid, Lord Baratheon hasn't been seen since he first entered the city." The Knight shook his head, resting his left hand against the pommel of his sheathed sword.

"Did you check the whore house...?" The Officer responded, an eyebrow raised.

"What do you think? Kingsguard aren't exactly welcomed with open arms in that place..."

The man soon arrived at the entrance to the whore house. The low sounds of moaning could be heard from inside. Aeden rolled his eyes at the thought of entering, then finally walked inside, albeit reluctantly.

"Oh, a Knight, have you come to whisk me away to your castle." A half naked woman asked as she stopped in his path. "I could show you a good time... What do you say?"

"Is Lord Baratheon here?" Was all the Knight said, averting his gaze from the woman.

"Well you're no fun... He's in the back, but he's asked not to be disturbed." The woman replied, before skulking away.

The man then proceeded through the halls of the pleasure house, keeping to himself as he past the many women of the night. Until he came upon the final room. "Lord Baratheon, The Small Council has been summoned, you've been requested to appear before the court... Lord Baratheon?" He spoke, leaning against the door as the sounds of panting subsided from the room.

"Who the hell do you think you are!?" A shout roared from behind the door, along with what sounded like a woman's laughter in the background. Suddenly the door was swung open, revealing an older looking man with thick black hair and completely bare everywhere else.

"My Lord, must I repeat myself?" The Knight answered with a question, a hint of a grin appearing before his face. "You are to appear before the Small Council at once..."

Lord Jacaerys

The clothe he wore over the wound with soaked with blood. It was stuck to the wound making the Lord groan when the clothe was torn out. The wound smelled as hideous as the wound looked. The Lyseni pirate had cut him from his underarm to his belly but he was not skilled with a sword, allowing the Jacaerys to survive the fight. He hadn't felt the pain then, he was too busy with the battle. All he saw, the captain; All he felt, his blade; All he heard, A Griffin! A Griffin. After the fight though, he fell to his knee, the pain had flooded him.

The Grand Maester gave the milk of the poppy. Lord Jacaerys drank it and soon fall into the dark.

"Not many who disturb a Baratheon while bedding a woman ever live to tell the tale... So mind you, if you value your tongue, then keep it closed." The Lord said as the two made their way for the Red Keep.

"On a Lion's honor, I won't tell a soul." The man replied with a slight grin, just as they passed the massive gate that protected the Throne.

"A Lannister?"

"... Not all Lions are Lannisters, and just the same not all Lannisters are lions. My Lord, for my Sigil is a red one."

"It's Aeden, Son of Erek Reyne, Lord of Castamere." The Knight replied, muttering the last.

"Castamere? Isn't that a castle north of Casterly Rock, the one under the rule of the Lannisters?" Lord Baratheon asked as the two found themselves at the sealed entrance to the Throne room.

"We are not ruled by the Lannisters!" The young man snapped at the Lord, before shaking his head. "Everyone just assumes that we are puppets, pawns to the overseeing Lord Lannister... C'mon, the council will be gathering soon."
