It was 219 AC, during the Great Spring Sickness when a greater tragedy struck the Seven Kingdoms, the murder of King Aerys I Targaryen, his family and most of his court. The next heir is but a child. This time of turmoil and sickness brings chaos to the land, even more with the threat from the rising from East…

With the king day, ambitions rise. Play the Game of Thrones, work your way, rule the kingdom or serve the babe. Remember In the Game of Thrones, there is no middle ground, you win or you die.

This Role Play will be set in King's Landing, the capital of Westeros. You may play your part no matter the size or nobility, as it is a time of chaos.

Some Background Information

The Spring Sickness is an unknown sickness that affects most of Westeros. A man may wake up healthy and die by the evening. There is no cure for this so far

When the Throne room was shut and the blood bath began, the dragons seem to have sensed it. King's Aerys dragon Vermithor burst out of the Dragon pit and flew straight into the throne room breaking past the door. It is said that the Dragon was mad seeing the dead body of its master, it burned the everybody till all that was left was just smoke as ashes.

As soon as the company reached the gates of the Red Keep, they were each met by armed city watch guards their swords held in their sheathes. "With us, Kingsguard..." The Watch Officer insisted.

Aeden turned towards Kailan. "Connor, if you would?" He muttered, intending for the Dornishman to take his place as Kailan's aid.

The Knight took a deep breath before nodding to the watch officer. "I'll see you all soon..." Aeden concluded as he began to follow the guards.

"We're coming with you, Ser." Harr stated, walking with Juno after the Kingsguard.

The Kingsguard was long gone by the time Harr turned once more. "... What do we do now then?" The Sentinel murmured, turning to Juno.

"Well... Kailan, is there a garden we could see? It'd pass the time." Juno smiled, her positive nature showing through, even when she worried for her injured brother.

The Reyne felt anxious as he stepped into the halls of the Red Keep, his mind racing with 'what ifs'. "This way-"

"I know where I'm going!" Aeden snapped at the Officer, soon finding himself at the Lord Regent's door. The Knight slowly followed the watch Officer into the room, quietly gazing upon the Connington as he entered. "... My Lord."

"We're going to find the others, Harr." One of the Reyne Sentinels grumbled, both guards leaving them.

The dark-haired Bolton smiled devilishly and offered his hand to the Reyne. "Clarke, and the pleasure my dear, is all mine." In turn the Reyne smiled and shook the man's hand lightly.

The Guard found himself shaking in anger, yet did nothing, and could've done nothing. He merely sat there against a tree, watching the exchange nervously.

"Oh..." Juno uttered as she retrieved her hand from the Bolton's grasp. "For starters... How well do you know my brother?"

Juno's gaze turned to the ground. "He's changed..." She smiled lightly, returning her focus back to Analia. "Aeden used to be a very cheerful boy, even when father would scold him. What really changed him was the second Blackfyre Rebellion, he well... Oh I must be boring you with such detail." Juno shook her head, unsure if the company truly was friendly.

"Aeden was a knight of my father's cavalry at only nineteen, but when the rebellion came around, well the things he's said he's seen... They've scared him. I think the day Gerold burned alive his company, Aeden lost his innocence..."

Kailan's eyes blazed with anger, and somehow the knight made it to her feet, where Connor caught her around the waist, preventing her from lashing out at the other woman. "I am no traitor, you mph!" Her words where also cut off as Connor clapped a hand over her mouth.

The Squire was dismissed by his Lord too soon for his liking. But he had instructions. The Dothraki walked into the garden where he spotted the company he traveled with. He cleared his throat before speaking "The Lord Regent welcomes you to the Red Keep. I have been told to escort you to your rooms" He addressed, to Lady Juno and Lady Kailan "Unfortunately the men would have to sleep in the barracks"

The Lord Regent

Jacaerys stood up "Aeden, welcome back." he greeted, take a gulp of wine. "I will spare you the false modesty. You defy my orders and you left your Prince, your post. If it were any other time I would have had you punished. However, this isn't normal times." The Regent sat down on his chair gesturing the Knight for him to take a seat. "As the Starks say Lord Commander, Winter is Coming, and this time, from the East. You will continue your duties as a Kingsguard and remain in your position."

The man looked at the knight "You may leave. Attend the meeting tonight, we have grave news..."

The tattered knight rose quietly saying not a word. Aeden had no position to argue, nor was he willing to at that. "Understood, my Lord." The Reyne nodded, before starting out the door for his chambers.

Sentinel Harr

"That won't be a problem." Harr nodded towards the Dothraki.

Juno happily went to the squire's side. "Why don't you show us around the keep?" She asked the squire, her sunny demeanor not swaying an inche.

"Where did the guards take Ser Aeden?" Harr asked, pulling the Dothraki aside. There was a tense tone in his voice, clearly showing he wasn't at ease in the Capital.

The Kingsguard found his way back to his chambers, sighing at the sight of the old training sword his father had given him. The thoughts of his father had been pushed aside up until then, the feeling of loss clouding the Knight's mind. Aeden slowly began to take his armor off, preparing for the bath he so desperately needed. In his mind, it was the only priority.

After removing the battered and dented armor, the Kingsguard made his way down the stone halls. It only took his a matter of minutes to remember the way, just before he came to the entrance. "God's I've missed this." He uttered as he past several occupied baths, until finding the one at the very end of the chamber.

Before long the Kingsguard was finished washing and clothed in a fresh cotton shirt and trousers. It felt good to be out of the clothes he had worn for so long. "Aeden... You're back..." A familiar voice muttered from behind the Knight as he walked back to his chambers.

"Lucius." A smile showed across Aeden's face upon turning to his old friend.

The two Knights happily walked the halls until they found the Lord Regent's chambers. The small council meeting was just about to begin. "You ready?" Lucius asked the Reyne.

"... Yeah." Aeden finally concluded, opening the door.
