Okay, so, my friend and I were watching Mulan. And you know the part where they call up Mulan's father to enroll in the army? Well, when he started walking my friend just goes, "yeah, like a boss ass pimp." I sort of died. I'm still laughing while typing this and it's quite sad. Fa Zou jus has so much swag. XD Ah I'm going to hell.

Off-topic, but seeing that post about Wicked reminds me that The Prince of Egypt is going to be a musical! Like on stage! They're doing a live reading of the first act in New York and if that turns out well I'm sure it'll end up on Broadway. Finally -- I mean if Shrek has a stage adaptation, why not POE?

I know this kinda off topic but am I the only one that thinks The Lion King is overrated? I don't hate but it's not my taste. I think Timon & Pumba are annoying & I don't like the songs that much except for Circle of Life & Be Prepared. I was also not a fan of the bathroom jokes. While some people think Beauty & the Beast is overrated, I prefer Batb over TLK.

I think what I like the most about Into the Woods is the music. The whole "subverting fairy tales" schtick of the original play might have been novel at the time it was out (in the 80s), but nowadays gets lost in the movie due to coming out after films like Shrek, Enchanted, Frozen, etc etc.

Have you guys ever seen Megamind? I just saw it last night and I really liked the story. I'm surprised it never really got that popular. On a side not, Megamind reminded me a lot of Loki from the Avengers. Super smart, forced into a villain role, and both are blue :P

I just finished watching Into the Woods. I liked it but I much preferred the first half to the second half and the ending is o.k. but it could have been better. The music is great and I liked the performances and the cinematography/art design/costume design. The story was interesting and had several twists although I was surprised that Johnny Depp's part was so small.

I just saw Inside Out yesterday, and that's the most I've cried all year. I cried during "Lava," when Riley started becoming more detached from her family, seeing her family memories, when BingBong died, and when she came back home. It made me realize how detached we (and I) become from our families, and our friends. Overall, I think Pixar really outshined itself with making anther movie that wasn't a remake or prequel/sequel.

Those of you who regularly read Pocket Princesses should know that Amy's been doing something a little different the past couple weeks: creating little profiles for each of the princess and what they like/dislike etc. Well the first three she did were Merida, Belle, and Tiana - my top three princesses! I though that was kinda funny haha.

Teen Beach 2 is o.k. I guess, but I think the first one is better. None of the songs in this new one are that catchy and the story is less interesting. I saw Inside Out yesterday. It was absolutely fantastic. The creativity of the plot was astounding. It was complex and interesting, while not being over-complicated and confusing. The characters were fun with depth. I really loved Riley, Sadness, Anger, and Disgust, but all of them were great. The emotions were great and it was unpredictable. Also no butt, fart, or other disgusting things humor! Great film! Go see it as soon as you can. It's worth it! Oh and, be prepared to tear up!

I'm thinking about writing a new fanfiction about the Disney Princesses. I'm not sure if I'll do it but I might. It's about if the Disney Princesses stories were rewritten so the villains win and someone (I haven't decided who, it might be Mickey Mouse and Friends characters or something) has to go through the stories to undo what has happened. Some stories feature the heroes as villains and the villains as the heroes *continues to type in comments*

Ugh! I just read another fan theory that I had to share with everybody. Get ready for weird one. According to some fans, Cruella and Roger dated in high school, and after getting her pregant he dumped her for Anita. Which is where her hatred of the Roger and Anita started. Oviously that didn't happen since it doesn't even fit in the story line of the movie.

Random nitpick, but I never get why does media portray Latina women as always being sassy, rude/bitchy, loud/extroverted, (and in adult oriented things) sexually promiscuous. Audrey Ramirez, Maria from the Book of Life, Santana from Glee, and Sofia Vergara in Modern Family and many more play off this stereotype. I think Honey Lemon, Malina and Chel are the only latinas who don't fit the stereotype ->

I just saw Inside Out today. Like most Pixar movies, I thought it was really great and funny, and definitely a really clever idea. I loved most of the characters in it, my favorite was probably Saddness. I just have a thing for gloomy/grumpy characters. Although Disgust runs a close second. I'll have to rewatch it before I decide for sure, but it's likely going to be one of my favorite Pixar movies and possibly even Disney movies.

So I took my little nephew to go see Inside Out, and overall I liked it. The good: Nobody beats Pixar in the concepts department, and they are in top form here. The way they can take abstract things like feelings and memory and create characters and worlds and stories is incredible ... just to see things all of these abstract things given form is in itself worth the admission. The dialogue is also really clever and there are lots of really funny moments. but... *adds more in the next comment*

I know this might be a minor moment in the movie Brave but when I was watching it while on my road trip, one part actually really made me mad and no one else seems to talk about it, it might just be nitpicking. When Elinor is eating berries and Merida analyzes the berries and seems to be pretty knowledgable about them but waits until her mother has ate like 3-5 to tell her that their poisonous. Am I the only one who is annoyed by this?

I haven't seen Inside Out yet but I will this week and I've seen that so far everyone seems to love the movie but just wait until it becomes really successful and you'll see that all of a sudden people start seeing flaws in it everywhere and complaining about it and hating it like Frozen and to a lesser extent Big Hero 6, hopefully that won't be the case this time but it usually is. People like things until they become really popular, not the case with me though. Can't wait to see the movie!

By that I'm not talking about animals, I'm talking about actual things like emotions, seasons, nations, good/evil, gems, and so on. I'd love to see the 12 months personified and the zodiac signs. I'm back from seeing Inside Out, and if you haven't seen it yet I really recommend that you do! I thought it was a really great, emotional movie — seriously, I cried at least five times. It's definitely one of Pixar's best, and has the same creative spirit that makes their movies so good. It wasn't exactly a typical plot, since it didn't have a villain or anything like that, but I was still kept invested the entire time.

I just got back from seeing Inside Out and I can honestly say that it's the most emotional of all the Pixar movies, especially since it's about emotions. It's really complex and dynamic yet still simple enough to follow. The animation is gorgeous and I love how it is able to capture the realistic look of the real world but also have a very cartoony and fun look for the emotions world. So, for lack of a better term, the animation has "the best of both worlds." *continues to type in comments*

Here's a weird complaint I just heard on YouTube. Apparently there are people that think Disney actaully has Donald Duck cussing and saying other crude things. And the the only reason you can't understand him very well, is so they can slip curses into the show! Like whenever he says Duck they were sure he's saying, 'dick', or 'f***'. And then when he's bragging about Scrooge being rich they think he's said "my uncle's a b*tch". Seriously? What will people come up with next to complain about?!!!

Not to point fingers at anyone, this is just something I've noticed throughout the internet, especially with youtube comments I've seen in arguments I tend not to get into. But are people so stupid that they can't figure out that what a person says in just their opinion and they're not claiming it as a fact? Do they honestly need people to put "in my opinion" at the end of a sentence in order to know it's just their opinion? I should think people are smarter than this, especially on Fanpop.

Do you guys think people put really popular princesses low on their list out of spite? Swanpride said that may be why Pocahontas made into Fanpop's top three because people want to give a "take that" to the popular princesses. I know people just like what they like and they shouldn't have to explain themselves but I can't help feeling thrown off if I see someone with, for example, Ariel, Belle and Mulan as their bottom three.

A few months ago I mentioned that Disney was making a live-action Cruella De Vil movie and... yeah I did roll my eyes at that, especially after Maleficent. However, I did find out one thing about the movie that makes me just A LITTLE BIT more openminded about the movie. The executive producer of the movie is Glenn Close, who played Cruella in the live-action remakes, so she gives me some hope that they'll portray her faithfully enough, since Glenn did capture her character perfectly.

This morning was interesting. My sister-in-law and my niece stayed the night at my house because we were going on vacation and my mom told me to go wake them up. When I went up there to wake them up my sister-in-law FREAKED OUT because she thought she was at her house and thought I was just a strange man. It was HILARIOUS! I didn't even shake her very much and she acted like I was Norman Bates lol.

I've been kinda taking a break from this club because I've been more into superheroes lately. I'm planning on watching all the Marvel movies I haven't seen, even though more of a DC guy.

It seems Disney's Tomorrowland bombed big on the box office. Nobody seemed to be that engaged with it when compared to Age of Ultron, Mad Max or Jurassic World.

I got Snow White on blu ray in the mail today from half.com! I hope it won't skip. When my mom bought a dvd from half.com back in 2009, it skipped. I'm going to upset if Snow White skips because it's in the vault.
