I just watched the Iron Giant. AND OMYGOOOOOSH, the feels! It was so good. Just, perfect. This is the first time I watched it, and I don't think my opinion on this movie will ever change. It's not a masterpiece or anything... But I think it's the best Don Blyth film. It suits their company so well! And Dean is the equivalent of Kristoff, imo. But then, in the end, where Tuteufiehfjsbfrkutdjfkd happens... I cried so much :) I really, really don't want a sequel, though. That would mean a trilogy.

I understand why everyone likes Dean so much. He is now, my favorite animated male. Scratch out the animated part, not even Barman can beat this guy :)over a year ago

Guys.. there is no escape of the Frozen. No matter what animated movie I seem to look at images (usually on google) Frozen screencaps appear. And the fact that there are more images results of Elsa than Anna when searching, "Anna frozen screencaps" makes me sad. :c

But, you're right. Elsa is very relatable though to some people (especially me... unfortunately) but I don't see her as photogenic... poor Anna :(over a year ago
I just finished watching Aladdin and I loved the movie, it's now my 9th favorite DP Movie (8th if you exclude Frozen) and Jasmine is now my 8th favorite DP (7th if you exclude Anna and Elsa)

Guys, there has been some more poll rigging going on:
This poll was posted 7 hours ago and has over 60 voters - AND the results don't match the comments: link
But this poll posted JUST 1 hour later has only about 20 votes. The results match the comments: link How can there be 40 votes difference in 1 hour?over a year ago
60 voters? WOAH. How do they even create so many fake accounts? They properly ask other people to vote in them, or they just hacked the system, and replace the rreal number with sixty, and put their desired opinion at their desired place. Tis tsk tsk. Shameful!over a year ago
OOH!!! I just remembered!! This weekend, there was a Comic-Con in the city that I live in, and when I was at the train station yesterday, my friend and I saw two girls dressed up as Ariel (in her blue town dress) and Rapunzel (the standard purple dress)!! I just watched Frozen and I have to say I like it more now, it's moved up slightly on my list by just one spot. It would be a lot higher if it wasn't as rushed and the characters were better. I like the characters okay but they really aren't that interesting. If this and Brave had the good qualities the other had with better pacing I think we'd have a pretty phenomenal film. But now I can't decide if I like Anna or Elsa more.

I... don't think so? I think he's just supposed to be a big guy who's muscular from lots of ice-harvesting and mountain-climbing. Some guys are just pretty big and/or strong and they wanted to go for that rugged, rustic charm to counter-balance the petite, daintiness of Anna.over a year ago

I was watching all the princess movies and people need to stay after the credits more often, sometimes after the credits are the best parts. Mostly with the newer ones like Brave and Frozen. After Sleeping beauty is cool too, it has some footage of how the made the movie with Walt Disney himself. Frozen has the snow monster plus let it go in tons of languages. Does anyone one else stay after the credits? Or am I the only one nerdy enough to do that? *tigger voice* and IM THE ONLY ONE!!!
Posted over a year ago
*(in pooh voice) Oh dear. I would stay, but I'm too impatient when the hunnie runs out. So I run back to the one hundred acre forest, and by the time I get my hunnie and get back to the movie theatre, the movie's over. But in the end, atleast I get to play with my friends.over a year ago
Yeah, when I went to see Frozen I told my familly to stay after the credits because of the "Marshmallow scene" but everyone else left. And the cinema people thought we were crazy for staying. And in the end they didn't show it. Weird, right?over a year ago
My mom has always stayed till the end of the credits in theatres since I was a little little kid, so I got into the habit of doing it. It's a good habit though, because a LOT of movies have creative scenes or gags at the end. People are just now starting to catch onto it thanks to superhero flicks, and they get all excited telling me and I'm like, "Dude, they've been doing that for years.* Watch to the end of Hercules, you won't regret it! When I took my mom to see Frozen, it was such a relief because I didn't have to tell her to stay till the end. We both sat and chatted and reflected on the movie while all but two people cleared out, saw the Marshmallow gag at the end, then went home. =)over a year ago

Has anyone else noticed all the polls related to Tiana, mainly beauty, that she seems to win by a land slide? Now I do think she's the most beautiful out of all the Disney Princesses but I kind of have a feeling that the polls are being rigged by someone.
Posted over a year ago
I think Meg deserved to win those polls, but not the beauty one. For me, sometimes she's gorgeous, sometimes she's pretty and sometimes she's ugly. As for Tiana, I'm beginning to see that more people have her really high on their list, but not many people have her as #1. So yeah, I think someone is rigging the polls.over a year ago
The same thing had happened a few months ago with some polls about Esmeralda. I was really angry because in the comments everybody was saying how beautiful/amazing she is, but we saw her as last at beauty/personality polls.over a year ago
hate it when people say that the tough Princesses like Mulan, Merida and Elsa are lesbians. So for girls to be tough they have to be gay? Mulan going on a war makes her gay? Merida not wanting to marry as a teenager and liking archery makes her gay? I would never marry as a teenager, I always wanted to learn archery and if I was in Mulan's place I'd probably do the same thing. That's doesn't make me or anyone gay.
I just found out that Mulan in OUAT is a lesbian . That's really disappointing.
Posted over a year ago
Agree, is just stupid, and i'm tired of it hearing things like this it makes me more depressed then i already i'm. Why're you disappointing that Mulan from OUAT is a lesbian?i see nothing wrong with it and what's the big deal anyway?over a year ago
manu962 I hope I didn't offend you by saying to stop bringing up that subjec, I uderstand that is your opinion and you wanted to share it with us, I'm just tired of fanpop users fighting because of LGTB, because it really causes misunderstandings. Anyway, Annabethadnco I know about all the femlashes but I don't really count them, becaus people always like to imagine situations and they say "I believe Aurora (for example) is lesbian because I want her to be lesbian", I'm ok with that. What gets on my nerves is that they keep saying that Mulan, Merida and Elsa are lesbians because they're tough girls/single. It's completely different. I wouldn't mind if they said "Elsa is a lesbian because someone has to be a lesbian", but why say that she's a lesbian because she's independent and she doesn't have a boyfriend? I'm single, but I'm not LGTB! And hajrah4, maybe you're right, Mulan is supposed to be lesbian because she's dressed up like a man, but I think that being warrior is important too.over a year ago
^No you didn't offend me. I wasn't expecting a fight either. Oh, and just because Mulan wears men clothes doesn't make her a lesbian either. She is just a tomboy. She coud've been transgender if she really liked to wear those clothes, but she had no choice. So she isn't transgender or a lesbian. But I agree with everything else you said.over a year ago

It still really gets on my nerves when people say that Pocahontas is historically inaccurate. It is a movie. Children watch these films. Heck if a parent would take their child to see a movie where the princess is twelve and her love interest was twice her age. (Not exactly love interest but kinda..) y'all don't complain about Anastasia being historically inaccurate. So why do it with Poca? ._.
Posted over a year ago
exactly I agree! Pocahontas is my 5th favorite DP movie. Everyone says Anastaisia is ssooo amazing, yet they are hypocrites and say that Pocahontas is historically incacurateover a year ago
MissAngelPaws: In my opinion, if they aren't going to make historically accurate films, they shouldn't base it on historical events. Vaguely historical settings like 1920's New Orleans or 1860s Scandinavia? All right, artistic liberties are bound to happen. A specific historical event with real people and tragedies? If you aren't going to present it faithfully, don't bother. There are PLENTY of other fairy tales and fictional stories to adapt without selling lies to children.over a year ago
^ I agree with you. I don't think Disney should make any more movies based off of historical events. I prefer movies that are based off fairytales.over a year ago
In case anyone will bother to comment besides to say "This is a comment" or anything to that degree, I just finished watching Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, most of you probably don't know it. the characters are the same, and the message is beautiful. No matter where someone you love is they'll always be with you, no matter how far. I love how the characters all, except for Eeyore, learned something. Pooh learned the message I said before, Piglet learned that things aren't as scary as they seem (they all realize that though) and that you can overcome anything if you believe, Tigger realizes that he's stronger than he seems and just needs some confidence when he's feeling insecure, and Rabbit shouldn't always rely on maps and such and should also try using his brains and gut feeling (much like how people now a days are too dependent on technology). It'sa beautiful movie that I can't believe didn't get a theatrical release. *keeps typing in comments*over a year ago
It's a much more deserving sequel than the new Winnie The Pooh, which while not awful is still really bad, plus it actually kind of stole the plot of this movie for a small part of the movie. It has it's dark moments, which people think doesn't belong in Winnie The Pooh, but it's something that we as adults can enjoy because it does what a Disney movie is supposed to do, appeal to both kids and adults, not just kids. Wherever You Are is an amazing and emotional song, the end credit version is better but the movie version is still amazing. If you haven't seen it I HIGHLY recommend it! It's definitely among my favorite Disney movies and my all time favorite Winnie The Pooh movie.over a year ago
I realized something....after almost every romantic Disney song, something bad happens. In Cinderella, the spell began to wear off after "So This Is Love." After "Kiss The Girl" Ariel and Eric fall into the water, and Ursula becomes Vanessa. After "A Whole New World" Aladdin is captured by the palace guards. After "Ma Belle Evangelline" Naveen is grabbed by Facilier's minions. After "I See The Light" Flynn confronts the Stabbington brothers. Need I go on? Why does Disney do this???

I've been watching Princess and the Frog many many times over my spring break....it really is a beautiful film. And SO underrated. I could watch it again and again and again. WHY IS IT SO UNDERRATED? It rivals Little Mermaid Frozen and Aladdin in my opinion
Posted over a year ago
I've been asking myself the same question. While this opinion is controversial, I think it's a combination of prejudice against hand-drawn films, prejudice against "girly princess films," and, yes, black people. Also poor marketing, high expectations, and the misfortune to come out the same year as many other spectacular animated films (UP, Coraline, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, etc.) and the week before Avatar. All these things individually might not have hurt it too bad, but all at once? It's like the army of ants against a single grasshopper in A Bugs Life. That's my opinion and I'm sorry if it ruffles feathers. =/over a year ago
I really like it. It has a sympathetic, inspiring lead and an awesome cast of characters. The jazzy soundtrack is also really nice. But it has some writing problems, and the middle can drag a bit, so it's in the bottom half of my favorite movies list.over a year ago
I just finished watching Frozen for the first time. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. It's actully one of the best modern Disney Princess movies IMO. And I love most of the characters in it. My favorites are Elsa and Olaf. My only big complaint is that the villain is pretty weak.
Posted over a year ago
It's among my bottom three favorite Disney Princess movies. It's a great movie but it's really rushed and the villains are weak. Plus the character development isn't very good and the romance is just terrible and rushed as heck! It's not nearly as good as The Princess and The Frog or Tangled or any of the other Disney Princess movies, except for Brave and Sleeping Beauty. But it is a great movie, it's not as great as it's made out to be but at the same time I do think it deserves it's praises.over a year ago
For me it's probably somewhere in the middle as far as my favorite DP movies go. I think it's better than Tangled, Brave, Sleeping Beauty, and Pocahontas. And do agree that it's kind of rushed.over a year ago
Yeah, it's at my bottom 3 too; however it's in my top 20 Disney movies. Not sure how that works out but like KataraLover said it's not nearly as good as the others, it's probably better than Sleeping beauty, Brave, and Pocahontas thoughover a year ago
Fair enough. I'm glad you liked it better than you though and liked the characters. The villain's identity got spoiled for me before I went in, so I don't know how I would have reacted had I not known, but I personally like him because, for the first time since Gaston, he's the kind of villain we're most likely to encounter, and that's what makes him scary.over a year ago
Personally I don't think he added a lot to the story. It just seems like he could easily written out. But if the two of you like good for you. And Tygers_Eye I can see where you're coming from about him being more realalistic, therefor scarier.over a year ago

It depends on the editing site. I'm pretty sure FotoFlexer, PicMonkey, and iPiccy all have their own resize tab, without cropping the pic.over a year ago
Tbh, it doesn't look good if you don't crop it. If you resize it to make it 200x200 and it's not even square, then the main object in your icon will be too wide, or too lengthy. Right now I'm thinking about making Pocahontas II (nothing like the actual one, she won't go to England. It'll show how her tribe and the settlers are at war and how they've chopped down all the trees and something like that)over a year ago
This is pretty old now, and I'm not sure if anyone else saw this when I did (Around February, I think? I forgot) but Andy's mom (From TS,2,3) is actually Jessie's previous owner! (Emily) The red cowgirl hat explains it all: link

Yeah, we already found that out a while ago. It's by the same creator of the mind blowing pixar theory, that is something worth chacking out!over a year ago
Has this been confirmed by the filmmakers, or is this a popular fan theory that people take as fact, like Rapunzel, Elsa and Anna being cousins?over a year ago
^No, it hasn't been confirmed, but unlike the Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa thing this theory gives actual evidence while the Anna and Elsa thing doesn't.over a year ago
^ What? Many people cite how Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa look exactly alike, their mothers look alike, Rapunzel and Eugene show up for Elsa's coronation, and they're all royalty in two different places in a similar world. There's just as much "actual evidence" as the "Andy's mom being Emily" theory, it just depends on whether you want to subscribe to it.over a year ago
^actually Lee Unkrich tweeted on his theory saying "@_AdamBarker_: Hey, you know I heard that the Motel Manager in Toy Story of Terror is really Andy's dad." ... that was harsh :/over a year ago
I just finished watching Pocahontas so YAY I FINISHED WATCHING ALL OF THE DISNEY PRINCESS MOVIES! Anyway I absolutely love it but it moved down a spot under Beauty and The Beast, I still ADORE it though. The animation is GORGEOUS, Pocahontas is stunning and amazing character, John Smith is also great, the songs are fantastic, the romance is awesome but I do have my problems with it, and the score is phenomenal! *keeps on typing and hopefully it won't be as my last wallpost lol*

We already know that the villain is lame and is obviously the worst part of the movie. Now with that out of the way let's talk about Pocahontas and John Smith. I love them but I'm noticing that they're kind of rushed, not as much as Anna and Kristoff, but still. Anyway it feels like they only have a day together and BAM they're in love and they don't really talk about their interests or their dreams. But I do think they have chemistry, I just feel like it could have been explored more. The movie is actually only an hour and 21 minutes, including the end credits. I feel like they should have added another twenty minutes because it would've added more to the story and it might get less hate. I hate the ending, I'm going to be honest and say that I only hate it because it's sad!over a year ago
I know people say it makes it more realistic but the point of Disney is to show kids that there are happy endings if you work hard enough for it, this kind of thing works better with live-action films, not animated Disney films. With that being said I still really love this movie and it's definitely in my top 30 favorite Disney movies, in fact, note to self, make an article about my top 30 favorite Disney movies.over a year ago
Oh, one last note I'd like to say that I forgot about is the whole Mel Gibson thing. Yes, I know he's awful, I hate him too, he's one of my least favorite celebrities! But I don't let that stop me from loving John Smith because he is a great character. Just ignore the whole Mel Gibson thing and just pay attention to John. Also I hate how people talk about historical inaccuracies from the movie but honestly I think it's just stupid to do that. It's a DISNEY animated movie! If you're expecting a historical film you sure aren't very bright because it's an animated movie and DISNEY, you should know what to expect.over a year ago
I twisted my brothers ankle. It was an accident, doe. But I'm still sorry. Though I'm ungrounded. Tomorrow. Because it didn't affect my brother that much. But still *sigh*over a year ago
Today I saw 3 DP Movies, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty and I love Cinderella (the movie) more now, it's now my 8th favorite DP Movie and I want to move Cinderella (the character) up on my favorite DP List, but I'm not sure since the 6 above are just better. Sleeping Beauty is however lower on my favorite DP Movie List now, it's currently my 3rd favorite DP Movie, but might move to either 4th or 5th and Aurora is now my 4th favorite DP
Posted over a year ago
And my opinion on Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs hasn't changed. This week seems like it's going to be a DP Movie Week for me cause me and my mother might go and watch Frozen in the cinemas since it's still in the cinemas where I live and I might watch some more DP Movies if I have time, I'm planning on watching The Little Mermaid and maybe Beauty and The Beast nextover a year ago
And if you wonder Cinderella (the movie) was my 10th favorite DP Movie before I rewatched it (9th excluding Frozen and 7th now if you exclude Frozen) and the placement for Sleeping Beauty is wrong in the wallpost, that would be the placement if you exclude Frozen, with Frozen included it would be my 4th favorite DP Movie though it might move to either 5th or 6th and Aurora used to be my 5th favorite DP, but she might move back to that placement after I've rewatched The Little Mermaidover a year ago
Last night I watched Cinderella and Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. Cinderella is definitely a good movie, it's not among the best because it's kind of bland and simple but I love it none the less. I feel like it would've been better if they had cut out all the mice scenes and did more development on Charming. The songs are good and the animation is pretty but you can tell that it's outdated when comparing it to other movies. *keeps on typing in comments*

The characters aren't really anything special. The only ones I care about are Cinderella, Anastasia, Charming, the Fairy Godmother, Bruno, and Lady Tremaine kind of. Cinderella is a good character, I like her but I don't love her. It's not because of all the other reasons people complain about her because I think she's a good example of a hard-worker that was rewarded for her hard-work and kindness. I mean she's working her fingers to the bone and still manages to stay pleasant so I admire her. I do like that she's a little snarky and does stick up for herself, just no like Ariel, Jasmine, or Meg do, which is understandable. I just find her personality a little bland but I do really like her and believe that she does deserve her happy ending. The villain is good because she is manipulative and cruel, nothing special though. So overall I love it, it's just not up to my standards. But I do think Cinderella is stunning and not just beautiful. *continues to type*over a year ago
I agree with you about the animation in Snow White and Snow White's death really is the saddest Disney Princess moment ever. Everytime I see Grumpy crying I lose it :'(. I'm looking forward to that Pocahontas review. I really hope you still like John Smith. Lately I feel like I'm the only one who loves him.over a year ago
If only they kept those prince scenes. *sigh* I LOVE Cinderella she is tied with Belle for my favorite! The movie is great, even if the animation was out dated....I just wish the color scheme was brighter like Belle or SnowWhite. SnowWhite is adorable! She is my 6th favorite. For an old film the animation was GORGEOUS! Sent from the cartoon angels. Definitely agree.over a year ago

Watching Pocahontas for the first time since childhood. It's so strange how different scenes seem as an adult. For example, when Kekata warns that the settlers "prowl the earth like ravenous wolves, consuming everything in their path," we see smoke wolves consume a woman holding a baby. I just thought it was generally bad as a kid, but now that I'm older and understand the implications of male "wolves" "consuming" women and children... I gasped with horror just like everyone else in the film.
Posted over a year ago
The song "Mine" also seems different. When I was a kid, I didn't fully realize that "mine" can be a verb, not just a noun. When Radcliffe sang "Mine, mine, mine!" I thought he was literally saying "it's mine" and wondered how the men didn't catch onto how obvious it was that he wasn't going to share. Now I get that he also says "mine me that gold" and they probably assume he means that. He doesn't, and every kid watching knows. Talk about simple-minded wisdom, eh?over a year ago
Having seen the movie again, I forgot how much I liked it. Honestly, apart from the historical and apparently geographical inaccuracies (people from coastal Virginia say it looks nothing like that), I think it's much better than people give it credit for. Music and animation are top-notch, most characters are developed and likable, the plot is pretty smooth, and I think it has a great message about acceptance and environmentalism.over a year ago
I'm glad you liked it! It's amazing how you feel when you watch a Disney movie again for the first time since childhood. You notice all the details that as a kid you didn't observe. And you have that nostalgia feeling. Yesterday I watched Lady and the Tramp (the last time I had watched it was when I was 6 I think) and I loved it even more.over a year ago
Yes! I had no clue about "Mine" when I was younger. I just thought the people were just really stupid and didn't realize what Ratcliffe was saying. And yes, the music, animation, characters, they're all so great! I am really glad you liked it. I love rewatching films I haven't seen in ages.over a year ago
I agree with everything. But Virginia does look like that I LIVE THERE! Not mention that land changes over centuries especially with building new houses and what not. I didn't quite get the 'wolves cunsoming thing' until I was like 14 (because I'm slow) and to this day I will still slip into the illusion that he is saying it's "mine" I don't really call it mining (like the dwarves) I just thought they were digging as a child I had no I idea what a 'mine' was. Crazy me! I love rewatching disney movies :Dover a year ago
Have u people seen rapunzel in once upon a time???? She's some black haired girl! WTF rapunzel has golden hair!!! It's in the fairy tale! What is this BS?!?! I don't care about adding POCs to the show bit don't mess with the stories JUST to please sensitive fans! This is so BS I am so maaaad, I thought they were basing them off the Disney fairy tales loosely? The little mermaid is red haired n freagin Ariel

^i was disappointed that they had change the fairy tale soooo much to make it work, like setting in semi modern New Orleans, in the end it was tastefully done, plus it was disneys new spin on it, it's not that I don't like different versions of a fairy tale, but OUAT has mostly followed the way disney does it, so Im excited to see disneys tiana appear, black of course, and I love tangled, so I was expecting the rapunzel we know!over a year ago
BelleRose, I think the difference between Disney and Once Upon a Time is that Disney acknowledges that theirs are adaptations, as they admit in the opening credits that the movie is "based on" or "inspired by" whatever. They'll even specify the specific author, contrary to complaints. (Disney's Alice In Wonderland is based on both Alice's Adventures in Wonderland AND Through the Looking Glass, Cinderella is based on Charles Perrault's version, Sleeping Beauty is based on Tchaikovski's ballet, etc.) Once Upon a Time's entire schtick is that "All the fairy tales you grew up with are true," but they don't use actual fairy tales. They blatantly copy Disney, change core details, and sometimes don't even use actual fairy tales. (FRANKENSTEIN IS NOT A FAIRY TALE!!!) I think that's the difference. If you're going to claim that "fairy tale characters are real," at least pretend to base them off actual fairy tales.over a year ago

I just watched 5 Disney movies in a row, and I am feeling so happy :D I watched Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, Princess and the Frog, and Tangled. I just love the animation i the classic movies, especially Sleeping Beauty. It's just so creative and gorgeous. But Princess and the Frog's animation is so colorful and detailed, and then there's Tangled with it's amazing CGI. But I just am so cheerful right now, it's what Disney does to me <3

Yes and I HATE IT!!!!!!! The original Cars was already AWFUL and the sequel was even worse! Why would they make a third movie do something that was already terrible and had a sequel that was even worse? Why not make a sequel to Brave, while that movie only did okay it still has possibilities because the world is incredible, plus I just really want them to make up for the false advertising they did. Also, they're making an Incredibles 2 and I have to say IT'S ABOUT FREAKING TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!over a year ago
I agree with BelleRose. (sees Kibbs comment) And MalloMar too. The first Cars, I felt was pretty dreamworkss and made me feel all warm inside. Nothing special, but it was a little memorable. Then Cars 2 was pretty heavy on putting it in for kids. Not very pixar. And then Planes? Kill me. I'm going to loathe Cars 3.over a year ago
Did you guys see this? link Mel Gibson is such a horrible person :( I warn you, it's very violent and contains a lot of swearing and yelling. But you know what I thought when I watched it? I though... WOAH. So... he talked about her loose clothes and called them 'tight'... when they weren't even tight. So, he looked at her and saw her as provacative. Then it's not Judy Kuhn's fault. It's Mel Gibson's fault for lusting. Oh my god, he's just like Frollo! D:

Why did those morons wait this long to start working on it? By now we should have a third Incredibles movie and should be an amazing franchise. But instead they wasted their time with Cars and it's awful sequel! I mean, superhero movies and sequels to them are a HUGE thing that make a lot of money, they passed up a BIG opportunity!
