I just got back from seeing Encanto and it was a great movie. It was very interesting and I kept wondering what was gonna happen. The songs are good (Not my cup of tea because there's a bit too much of a modern style), the characters (Most of them) are likable, the animation is gorgeous, the voice acting is stellar, Mirabel is an engaging character, and it will tug at your heartstrings. However, Isabela was a pain through most of the movie, until we get to her character arc.

I finally watched Luca and oh my gosh it was so good! The animation took some getting used to but the pacing was good, the characters were likeable/well written, and my only complaint is I wish it was longer. People are saying that Raya is basically a superhero and how from now on all the Disney Princesses are going to basically be superheroes. I find that really disappointing since while there's nothing wrong with a princess superhero (ex. Wonder Woman), Disney Princesses should not ALL be superheroes. I wanted to update everyone on the Raya situation. I did my research and figured out the actual costs. So you need to have a Disney+ subscription but that isn't enough. You then have to pay $30 to access Raya even after you have a subscription. So you're basically paying the monthly fee plus the $30 "ticket" for Raya. I just finished watching Raya and the Last Dragon and it was absolutely PHENOMENAL! It actually exceeded my expectations. It's funny, it has amazing action scenes, enjoyable characters, gorgeous animation, great character development, is really deep, and is also really relevant.
