I don't know why people salute Elsa as the disney feminist role model. Like, what. If anything, this should be Mulan. Elsa isn't as strong as Snow White. The princess people shame all the time. Feminism is basically equality to men and despite Elsa being a queen, she never really fought for anything other then defending herself. Does anybody like Steven Universe? It's my favorite cartoon ever. It's about a boy named Steven who's a hybrid of a "deceased" alien war leader named Rose and a retired unsuccessful rock star. The boy gets taken care of by the last two remaining survivors other than Rose and another of their species that they took in.

I know a lot of people are looking forward to The Lion Guard, but I'm still kind of mixed on it. Belle hasn't lived there her entire life. Maybe in her old town they where a bit more academic and people as a whole read more. Guys, have you ever thought about this? How the fairies take care of Aurora during all those years if they couldn't even make a dress, bake a cake, or clean without using magic? Imagine the meals, they possibly could have been as inept as the ones in Maleficent. Who knows if Aurora had to do most of the stuff herself from a young age, poor girl, because those fairies apparently couldn't do anything without magic. I just watched the 2015 version of Cinderella for the 1st time & I loved it! I liked it much better than the 1950 version. It was amazing! I don't like usually like remakes but this was one of the few exceptions. It's rare when a remake is better than the original. I also though Cinderella was much better than Maleficent. Sofia the First episode with Merida was so beautiful, and I totally didn't expect it (spoilers!). Merida of course didn't sing, but I still think her appearence was the best so far from all the princesses. So, I saw The Little Mermaid (live) yesterday for the second time. Even though the musical does make me love Ariel more as a character, the musical just seems less magical. Hi guys! Been busy lately, but just popping back in for a quick wall post. I just finished watching the Black Cauldron for the first time! I thought it was nice, but I can tell why it never really took off - lots of plot holes and an incredibly unconvincing villain. Eilonwy was really sweet, but also really inconsistent. I saw Maleficent for the first time the other day and I actually liked it. I know that it got pretty mixed reviews from fans but I actually liked it more than the Cinderella remake, which got pretty good reviews from fans. Cinderella was nice and I can see why it was so popular here but I preferred the darkness and edginess of Maleficent and how it created a whole new story (or technically backstory).
