Singer IU has renewed her contract with a soju (Korean vodka) company. According to Chamisul company, which is a popular brand of soju in Korea, the company has closed the deal for renewing IU’s contract on December 17, and released a new poster featuring IU.

IU has been selected as Chamisul’s model at the end of 2014, and she has been participating in various promotional events with Chamisul.

This year, IU will kick off her renewal contract by celebrating with her fans at the “Isul-Ro Festival” on December 23 at 5pm, at Hongdae. This event will be a party to celebrate the end of the year, and IU hopes to enjoy the party with her fans.

Gallup Korea recently released their list of the top stars in Korea in 2015. On a similar vein, they polled 4,200 people between the ages of 13 to 59 around the country (excluding Jeju) in July, September, and November on their favorite K-pop stars of the year.

Singer-songwriter IU is enjoying success in Taiwan with her new best-of album “Smash Hits.”

Since its release on December 11, the album has maintained the No.1 spot on the Daily K-Pop Album chart of Taiwan’s leading online music store KKBOX.

Other albums in the Daily Album Top 5 are “She Was Pretty OST,” Super Junior‘s “Special Album Part. 2 Magic,” TWICE‘s “The Story Begins,” and EXO‘s “Sing For You,” respectively, as of December 16.

Ever since IU came back with 'Chat-Shire,' it seems like nothing but controversy after controversy has surrounded the new release.

Recently, another issue has come to light, this time involving the inspiration behind 'Chat-Shire's album cover.

An artist by the name of Jessica HJ Lee uploaded a blog post titled 'link,' claiming that the artwork for 'Chat-Shire' was just too similar to her original art to be overlooked as mere inspirations but rather, a direct, intentional copy of her work.

American artist, Jessica H. Lee recently penned a blog post online in which she claims that her artwork was used without her permission for the cover of link‘s latest album “Chatshire.”

In her blog post, the artist highlights the similarities between her own artwork and the illustrations on IU’s cover. Solbi refutes the accusations that her comments made in November via SNS were aimed at singer IU.

The singer recently posed for the fashion magazine bnt and spoke about what she’s been up to. Solbi released an album as part of VIVIS in September.

IU just had a very successful solo concert 'CHAT-SHIRE', and fans will be even happier to know that she'll hold another concert this month!

LOEN Tree stated that IU will hold her encore concert on December 30 and 31 at Seoul's Jamsil Sports Complex's school gymnasium.

It's a good thing IU's holding an encore concert, because there surely are fans who weren't able to score a ticket to her first one. Tickets for her 'CHAT-SHIRE' concert sold out immediately. She had concerts in Seoul, Busan and Daegu in late November and early December.

It looks like some lucky fans will be spending their last few days of the year with IU! Tickets go on sale December 10 at 8pm KST through Interpark.

With the controversy over IU‘s lyrics of her track “Zezé” and her supposed interpretation over the character, YouTuber Heechulism underwent a reaction video project, showing her live performance to Americans.

We got another 'Who Wore It Better' match featuring two gorgeous ladies in K-Pop, AOA's Seolhyun and IU! Both are known for possessing incredible bodies; Seolhyun is known to be a busty goddess while IU, thought not as curvaceous, has a lean, feminine physique.

IU held her solo concert his past November 21 at Seoul's Olympic Park, and her beau Jang Kiha was one of the audience members cheering her on, giving her some moral support!

During her concert which commemorated the release of her fourth mini album 'Chat-Shire,' the singer performed "Knee," "Twenty-three," "Zeze," "Shower," and her past hits such as "You and I," "Good Day," and "The Red Shoes," giving her fans a memorable two hours.

Jang Kiha was said to have arrived at IU's concert even before it began and cheered her on with all his might. IU's best friends, actress Yoo In Na and indie band 10cm, were also present at the concert, enjoying the concert.

As IU kickstarts her solo concert over the weekend, the event in itself gained much talked use to its number of celebrity attendees.

According to reports on November 23rd, Jang Kiha was one of the many celebrities that attended IU’s concert, sparking much interest for his support towards their public relationship. Also joining Jang Kiha in the audience were 10cm and IU’s best friend, Yoo In Na.

Meanwhile, the concert kickstarted the rest of IU’s series as she exclusively performed tracks from her fourth mini-album Chat-Shire along with other hits, “Red Shoes,” “You and I” and “Good Day.”
