1theK uploaded a 'Special Clip' of IU performing "Knees," with nothing but a mic in hand and piano melody to back up her sweet vocals.

The stage is scantily decorated; just several floor lights shining brightly behind her against a minimal grey backdrop. The singer herself is also dressed in dull colors, perfecting the simplistic, slightly dull atmosphere. It is the perfect set for this song in particular, as the lyrics explore the deepening sadness you feel in shedding youth to enter the realm of adulthood where sleep doesn't come easy and you grow more cynical.

Two more of these special clips will be uploaded on November 4 and November 6 at noon on 1theK's YouTube channel.

A member of IU's boyfriend Jang Ki Ha's band, Jang Kiha and the Faces, by the name of Jung Joong Yeop made a cute update on his Instagram!

The bassist posted on November 2 a picture of IU's new album, 'CHAT-SHIRE,' and wrote, "Kiha gave me this saying, 'It's a present.' When I saw this, I felt against my better judgment that it was worthwhile to do music."

The album picture shows IU's writing, which says, "Joong Yeop oppa. Please enjoy listening to this! I am supporting you!" So cute.

1. Appreciating visual art is purely a matter of subjectivity. What you believe is aesthetically pleasing, I may not find to be so and vice versa. Actually, art doesn't necessarily have to be visually appealing or beautiful for us to admire it--though many of the album covers indeed appeal to our visual senses. Some of the album covers I selected simply because I liked the concept, creativity, or authenticity (or some combination thereof). In no particular order, here are the album covers of Korean artists that I found to be 'artsy,' based solely upon my personal perceptions of what is visually...

After a much-lauded performance in 'Producers,' IU is back with her new album 'Chat-Shire.' This album contains a couple things that make it great right off the bat: One is that she wrote the lyrics herself (and actually produced "The Shower"); the second is the EP contains the song she sang in 'Producers,' "Twenty-three." Don't look for her on TV, though, she's bringing her show to the...

After not having an official release since her Flower Bookmark EP in 2014, solo artist IU made her long-awaited comeback with her newest music video “Twenty-Three.”

Utilizing the Alice In Wonderland concept hinted at through the teasers for the track, the LOEN Entertainment artist’s catchy track highlights the difficulty of transitioning from a girl to a woman.

Instead of addressing the topic in a serious tone, the popular singer utilizes silly scenes including a cake to the face to explain the confusion of growing up. IU’s self-written lyrics also make a point to relate her current situation...

On October 19th, IU dropped the third music video for her upcoming comeback for the track “Zeze.”

The track is said to be based off a Brazilian tale titled “Meu Pe de Laranja Lima” as the vocalist sports oranges in her hair like an orange tree and the song bears the name of the main character.

“Zeze” features a funky beat as IU munches on gummy worms while lying on the carpet with her hair as the tree’s branches. So far, she has delivered fans with peeks of “Shoes” and “Shower.”

Although many fans are disheartened that the artist will not be performing on the weekly music shows, fans can still catch her on stage during her various concerts throughout Korea.

Her mini-album Chat-shire will be released on October 23rd.

In light of recent news that Hyunyoung is dating Clazziquai’s Alex, the Rainbow member is being pitted against IU for their resemblance.

On October 16th, a post on Hankooki mentioned these similarities as it highlighted their round, small face and gentle, long hair.

The similarities were further enhanced by their tendency to look cute and bright in front of the camera and coincidentally their recent admission of dating fellow artists in the industry.

Just recently, IU was confirmed to be dating Chang Ki Ha, while Hyunyoung is revealed to be in a relationship with singer, Alex.

What do you think of the photo? Do you think they look alike?
