On the IMDB page for Beauty & the Beast, it's stated that the Beast was given the name Adam in a video or CD-ROM game. I'm not sure why they decided to give him after the movie came out, but it seems to fit him. over a year ago

To me it doesn't fit him because it's supposed to be a French fairy tale. The name Adam isn't even French, it's Hebrew. Even in the original fairy tale he isn't given a name at all. Just referred as the Beast or the Prince. over a year ago
