Afew months later, Spencer was finally free of his nightmares-for good! He was finally on some meds to help get rid of them. He never had to keep a journal again. The best part is, he slept all through the night at night. Everyone at the BAU was releaved. Especially Derek. After the case in Sacramento, Derek made a promise to Spencer that he'd always listen. Somehow, Spencer already knew that.
No more nightmares about Mrs. Reid, JJ, Maeve, anyone. Spencer felt like he was free for the first time in forever. He was just glad to be living his life again. He...
Spencer was finally getting some of the best sleep he's had in ages. No nightmares or dreams. Although a good dream would've been good to have, he just needed to get some good old fashioned sleep for now. And the best thing about this kind of sleep is that there was NO ONE to paranoy him. The doc loved everyone close to him dearly, but like all people, he needed some space. Space was what he needed during this time. And now was the only time to get it since he was on the jet. Nobody would disturb him.
On the jet, Spencer got out his PC and recapped all of his nightmares. He tried to remember as much as possible. *Some of these weren't as gruesome.* he thought. The doc's thoughts were interrupted briefly when he heard music coming from someone's phone. "What's that?" he asked. "It's just music, genius." Derek answered tiredly. "I know THAT, Mr. Grump." Spencer replied getting more agitated by the minute. "What is wrong with you?" Derek asked as if he were clueless. "What wrong with ME?" Spencer remarked sarcastically.
Afew days later, the unsub was caught. Everyone in Sacramento was relieved, but Spencer still had the other JJ nightmare on his mind. He kept asking himself if he should be honest with his friend. *Am I being a lunatic or a good friend?* he repeatedly asked. The doc snapped out of his thoughts as JJ walked up to him. "Anything else?" she asked. "We heard the daughter is flying in from Tennessee." Spencer answered with a gut-wrenching feeling in his stomach.
JJ noticed the doc's troubled facial expression. "Is something the matter?" she asked. "I don't think I should tell you."...
*I can't believe I had 2 nightmares about JJ!* Spencer thought later that day. He couldn't tell anyone about this nightmare. With Derek at the doctor, Hotch going to the witness' houses for evidence about the case, and JJ possibly tearing up if he told HER, he really had no one. The doc sighed. "Is everything alright?" Blake asked. "I'm fine. Just exhausted." Spencer lied. Blake could tell he was lying.
"I'm not buying any of that." Blake stated in seriousness. Spencer slammed his hand on the table. Blake was shocked and startled. Spencer soon began to regret his action. "I'm...
On the way back to the BAU, Hotch and Derek were discussing their plan to intervene with Strauss about her drinking problem. They had to be quiet though, because she was only about 4 feet away from them. "We need to make sure the rest of the team doesn't find out." Hotch stated very clearly. Derek nodded. "We also need to make sure the director doesn't find out. If that happens, all 3 of us will get fired in a heartbeat." Derek replied. Hotch glanced over at Strauss, who was looking over a case of files. "I agree." Hotch said.
That night, Spencer had his most saddest nightmare yet. He was at the BAU. In his ghostly form nevertheless! "Why am I ghostly at the BAU?" he asked himself. He soon found himself at the round table with a teary-eyed JJ. "JJ, what's the matter?" he asked his voice filled with a high level of concern. "How do I tell you?" JJ asked tearfully.
"JJ, you can tell me ANYTHING." Spencer tried to reassure. "I can't." JJ cried. "Yes you can." Spencer calmed. JJ cried silently as she gathered up her words. "They want me back at the Pentagon." she blurted out as she completely broke down....
Late that night, Spencer was making a diary of the past nightmares he had. He was careful about the gruesome stuff. He added mainly his relapses. The main reason why he did that was these nightmares had occurred before and during the time of the case in Sacramento. The doc turned and took a sip of his water then noticed Derek. Derek had fallen asleep after sometime. This gave Spencer a reason to look at the time. "Whoa!" he whispered loudly.
The time was 2:35 A.M.! "I have GOT to sleep!" Spencer muttered as he closed his PC. He put the now closed PC on a table and went to bed....
"Hello, this is Dr. Hayes." Spencer's sleep therapist said over the phone. "Uh, hi, this is Spencer Reid. I've been relapsing on my nightmares recently. How do I handle it?" Spencer replied. "Have they been current?" Dr. Hayes asked. "Yeah." Spencer answered. "When did you start relapsing?" Dr. Hayes asked. "Just before this case." Spencer answered. "Where are you right now?" Dr. Hayes asked wondering if Spencer had a case.
"I'm in Sacramento." Spencer answered. "Until you come back to Quantico, I suggest you keep a diary of your nightmares." Dr. Hayes suggested. "Should I add the...
The crime drama ended its 13th season on a cliffhanger, I hear with the blessing of CBS. A cancellation would’ve robbed its loyal fans of a proper ending and would’ve deprived the series of hitting the 300th episode.
