I am currently re-reading Twilight. My friend is making me. It was part of a deal, don't ask. Anyway, I now have just a couple chapters left of it. Here are just a few of the many problems I have with this book:

1) The main reason Edward likes Bella is because she smells good. You can't deny it. It is mentioned a million times in the book. Edward's always saying things like, "your smell is so appealing . . . never scented anything like it before . . . I can't stay away . . . " etc. GOODNESS GRACIOUS!

Alright,I don't know where to begin,I guess I already begin.

I can't believe I've taken months to conclude that I was being something humiliating,nasty and dumb for those past months.I loved Harry Potter with all my heart,its the very first novel I would not eat to have it.I used to like Twilight too when I watched the movie in the first place.

However,its pretty obnoxious when media started to compare my most favorite book with a simple love story like Twilight-no offenses,just how I used to think.That's why I joined this site,to prove that all the "move on Harry Potter.." things was wrong.

My View on This Battle

After viewing a decent number of articles, questions, and forums on this site, I realize that all who say that these two series cannot be compared are right. The two are different genres and therefore are difficult to compare.

I will say that I am a die-hard, never give in Harry Potter fan who would not be caught dead reading Twilight. But that is my opinion. It seems to me that Twilight fans are never given the chance to fully explain the reasons they prefer Twilight because the Harry Potter fan base does not allow them to do so. We have become so used to dealing with the hardcore fans that...

Okay, so i was getting pretty sick of answering so many questions about the same thing, and im sure others are/were too, so i just thought that it would be better for everyone to add their opinion to this thing, cos i guess it just makes life easier, and because you can get LOADS of replies/answers on this. So yeah, enjoy.

My Answer:
In my opinion, Harry Potter is better, and i prefer it more than Twilight, because i feel as if i can relate to the characters more. Also, i feel as if Twilight doesn't really have a plot, compared to Harry Potter. (There is more, but i cba to write anymore atm, haha)

I think I know why Twilight is more "popular"

This is what I think.

I know that majority (if not almost all) of the fans of Twilight are girls. So girls are looking for romance (which the first books of Harry Potter lacks). I think there is some kind of a love scene in the series. In the first book alone, Romance is so visible. In the first book of Harry Potter, there is little or no romance found (but it will progress in the following books).

Just asking a question: What is Harry potter too short out of romance for Twilight fans?

Just my hypothesis. I still vote for Harry Potter.
