To those who say Harry Potter is a Fantasy

First off, one of my best friends refuses to read Harry Potter because it's a fantasy. You probably said the exact same thing. I did too.

Just to clear this up, I'm going to explain this for you. All 7 books more or less have the same goal in mind. Harry's parents were murdered by Voldemort in Godric's Hollow when Harry was 1. Until the age of 11, he believed it was only a car crash. He had no idea that he was famous for the supposed "death" of Voldemort. That is, until Hagrid comes to tell him that he is indeed a wizard.

In his first year, the main plot, more or less, is about Harry trying...

Okay, today I was just thinking about Twilight and Breaking Dawn when I realised that there was something that didn't really make sense and I was hoping that one of you could clarify it for me.

NOTE: It does refer to sex, but I'll try and keep it as PG as possible.

OK. As you probably know, if a girl is a virgin then there is a membrane which partially covers the vaginal opening, which is known as the hymen. This is broken when it is penetrated.

Now, my question. What would happen if a female was turned into a vampire if she was a virgin? Would she still be able to have sex or would the male be unable to penetrate the hymen because it is 'rock- hard'?

Personally, I would think that she would be unable to have sex, but that's just my opinion. Is there anyone who can definitely say for sure?

I was reading an article awhile back about plot holes in HP and one of them was about how Harry knew that he was the owner of the Elder Wand even though he had no background in Wandlore. I thought I would help clarify. I do not intend this to be argument material, but if you have an opinion, feel free to express it.

I saw hp in the title and i had to join!!! HP is genius!!! Hats off the J.K. Rowling for inventing the box office sensation!! Twilight has many faults, but I will save you the time and only state one: vampires are supposed to disinirate when in sunlight, but insead they shimmer like fairy prinssess. I have nothing out for twilight, I just think more effert into the story line would have hellped my liking of the twilight series. No effense intended, but thought intended.

Dear Ms. Rowling,

There, honestly, is no single word for describing your books. Even with all the new vocabulary you have introduced me to through them, the books cannot be describe with just 'amazing' or 'phenomenal'. In fact, my description of the Harry Potter series would take up two pages, minimum.

The characters you have so brilliantly created, taught me about bravery and friendship. The storylines are put together so well and truthfully, there is not one thing that you haven't thought about in depth. And I admire you for that....

Okay, it's something that bothers me a lot, and I guess it bothers others as well, but I've noticed that a lot of fangirls (of a lot of things, not just Twilight), base their opinions off the looks and the materialistic things in books, movies, singers, celebrities et cetera.

I personally think it's stupid. Just because someone's good looking doesn't mean they're good. In fact, in some cases it's awful.

What really made me notice was these reasons a girl gave to me as to why Twilight is better than HP:

So the other day, I was chatting with my TwiHard friend, when a mutual acquaintance came up to us and joined the conversation. After a few minutes, the acquaintance mentioned that she hadn't seen Eclipse yet, and was going to rent it and watch it that evening.

And by that title, I mean this particular page of fanpop.

I have read both the Twilight series and the Harry Potter series, and while, out of the two, I am a Harry Potter fan, Twilight is not a wretched book.

However, Twilight is either seen in a negative or positive light on this page because it is being compared to Harry Potter. Compared to J.K. Rowling's series, Twilight pales. The grammar is far better, the language used is more intelligent, the tone of the whole story is much more positive than Twilight, and the plot of Harry Potter is generally more intriguing.

Alright, Zanhar1 posted a link a while ago with an article by a Twilight fan stating reasons why she thought Twilight was better than Harry Potter. Well, I saw several flaws in her reasoning (not that hard), and I decided to write an article about things that I thought were wrong about what she was saying. I’ll put a quote from her article, followed by my argument.

So, one day there was this girl, and for the sake of this article she shall be referred to as A.

so anyway, one day, A's sister got given a book from a friend. A's sister read said book, then lent it to A, saying it was possibly the best book she'd ever read. This book was Twilight.
so A read the book, slightly skeptical at first, but quickly got hooked. by the end of the book, she was a fan.
So, as soon as she found the second book, she bought it. A didn't enjoy it as much as she'd enjoyed the first book, but read it all the same.
then for Christmas she got given Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.
