Since this year's Oscar show was.... controversial and not well handled, I would like to mention a much better event from a previous Oscar show. Marlon Brando was set to win the Oscar (an award he absolutely earned and deserved), but he actually didn't accept it out of respect for Native Americans that weren't being properly treated. Yes, Marlon Brando turned the most prestigious award that any actor could ever get so he could defend the less fortunate. Yet another reason why I love Brando. Posted over a year ago

Robert Morse proved that you can still accomplish great things late in life. In his mid-to-late 80's, he voiced Santa Claus in Teen Titans Go!. Thanks to his excellent performance in that show, I got to know and appreciate this very gifted actor. Posted over a year ago

I'm sorry to say that the new Batman film, The Batman, is the worst Batman film that I've ever seen. Batman fans generally consider the Batman film that starred George Clooney, called Batman and Robin, to be the worst Batman film. However, I like that film a lot more, because it was a fun, colorful film where Batman wasn't overly gloomy and rude and the villains were fun rather than creepy. Posted over a year ago

Batman is credited as being "Created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger"
The word "with" is a bit misleading, but due to legal issues, it was the best credit they could give Bill.
However, if the credits were more honest, it would be, "Batman created by writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane."
Aside from Bob Kane coming up with the initial idea to have a superhero named Batman, Bill Finger did most of the work. Hopefully, one day DC properly acknowledges Batman's real father, Bill Finger. Posted over a year ago

The Netflix Marvel shows have been moved to Disney+. That sounded fine, until it was reported that Disney erased a tribute to Stan Lee from the finale of The Punisher and a tribute to actor Reg E. Cathey from Luke Cage. Why would Disney go out of their way to remove tributes? Disney has been censoring parts of old movies that they find to be inappropriate, but if you ask me, taking out tributes is a worser thing to do than a majority of the content that they censored and deleted. Happy birthday, Bill Finger. For me, he was the heart and soul behind Batman's creation. It is an undeniable tragedy that the creator of some of the most beloved icons in pop culture history remained unknown and unrewarded during his time. However, it's comforting to know that every Batman comic, show and film gives him credit and us fans are now aware that he was the true creator of Batman.
