Yes, I was told that The Lion King was a copy from Kimba The White Lion. But I don't believe it's a rip off. I think that Disney liked Kimba so much that they wanted the same story, but Disney style. Just like the movie Little Mermaid wasn't actually made by Disney, but another author!
