male lions are harier than the females, and as you've probably noticed, apart from vitani, tama, kula and a few random outlander lionesses, all the lionesses have no hair. disney might have wanted to get this point across, and to make the lionesses more feminine, took away the whiskers.

actually it is not factually correct. Disney does not go by reality. Also in real life both lionesses and lions have whiskers. Just like both female and male chihuahuas have whiskers I. real life.

ya, I'd have to go with Cruella too. Because, in real terms, both lions and lioness have whiskers, so for the movie it was probably to make the girls more clean..lol

I doubt that. think of Vitani she was really over brave. yet she didn't have whiskers. because she was female. whiskers are more likely the equivalent to mustaches on humans.

Yes. Females have short hairs, so they mustn't have any whiskers. If they had, they wouldn't look much pretty!

Th lionesses don't have whiskers for these obvious reasons
(1) Disney isn't quite realistic
(2) It makes them more feminine Men's beards are called "whiskers" So this could also be to distinguish the males/lions from the females/lionesses. Also the males' beards look like mustaches as well. Aka: That's a guy thing

Vitalani457 said:
It makes them more feminine as where the whiskers are supposed to refer to mustaches. The whiskers work alongside the manes/beards to help distinguish the males from females in the pride. Disney isn't realistic either.

Fun fact: in real life all lionesses have whiskers.

Females look more gentle without whiskers, because males are supposed to be tough and females aren't.
