hello fellow Fanpoppers!

just thought i'd drop a quick line to say that i'm going away on vacation for 10 days tomorrow. i'm going to be dancing my buns off at a kick ass music festival in the mountains, so if you don't see me around for awhile - that's why! i will be back in a couple of weeks, hopefully with plenty of new ideas for the Debate spot.. which seems to have grown a little stagnant in the last few weeks.

when i get back, maybe wifey and i will finally get around to getting married.

As most of you 'may know' I've only been on fanpop for over a month and it's hard to keep up with everything and everyone, including my fans and with so much to do I'd like to thank you all, via this article for all of you being so helpful and supportive, everyone has been so great and informative, it makes fanpop a very addictive place.
I've loved your articles, comments, videos, pics and photos and I am sure I am going to be here for a long time. Hopefully I will get to know all my fans by name (my memory for names is not good) or at least by icon (now that the images are back up, lol) I have learnt a lot since I've been here and I love it (if we've got a spell check system I need one)
And for anyone who's having a birthday on fanpop, have a great day (I thought I'd ad that coz I really can't keep up with everyone) Once again, thanks for everything. Cheers.

All in good fun, I have compiled a list of why voting for the papa-amazondebs campaign for president is a mistake, and why voting for the Cinders-DrDevience campaign will be a decision you won't regret. This list is meant to be amusing, and is not supposed to be offensive to anyone. It may have just a touch of slander, but hey, you think politicians REALLY run clean campaigns all the time? ;o)

okay i know i sometimes annoy certain users with "credit this" and "keyword that" but i do love the majority of you guys and so this is a dedication to my favoritist of fans and something for new fans to read about this brilliant community, now i couldn't think of a 101, i'm sure there are 100s of reasons but these are my 56

Quizzes to do with users

I have noticed a lot of quizzes containing phrases such as "which icon has user never used?" or "where have user never been?" and that is it. This is creating poorly worded quizzes as all of them could change if the user does travel to such a place and says it on here, or they do end up changing their icon to one in the question.

If you would like to create a quiz with this kind of wording, in brackets at the end either put the date (20 June '08) (20/06/08) (June 08) (06/08)...the best one I would recommend to use is "June 08" as the day/month is reverse in countries such as the US and it's...

I’m not really good at writing soapboxes. My comments are usually just one or two sentences that are goofy in nature and serve no more purpose than to try to bring about a chuckle.

However, in early May, I posted a video known as link. It was a video response to Asia Society’s link Asia Society had a contest in which they wanted viewers to share their stories and experiences. The person whose video that was posted from May 1 through May 31 with the most views would win an iPod Nano. The video I posted, was a quick minute and a half response that I formulated and recorded in fifteen minutes....

I have been on fanpop for 2 years and let me just say that i love the tolerance that you guys have. by looking at my profile page you can tell that i love gay people and i want equal rights for all of them. also, i am a vegetarian for going on a year and a half and i am a buddhist. Anyway, byfar fanpop is way better than youtube and myspace. Everyday i gain inspiration by breading blogs and anwswering debate questions. Appreciating Aleciane

This is fifth in a series of articles profiling link, and was last edited on 21 May 2008.

I first became aware of Aleciane due to the various music videos she'd posted to various spots when she first joined in March 2007. Since then, though, Aleciane has been a very active Fanpop user all over the site. She's created dozens of spots, earned scores of medals, gained hundreds of fans and rated thousands of links on the site. She even has a link! I polled many, many users about Aleciane, and the vast majority who responded remarked on the huge volume of content she provides to Fanpop.

link exploded onto Fanpop one year ago. Practically everywhere I went on the site last May, I saw content that Ciaran had contributed, as well as spots he'd created, such as the link spot. As with other Fan of the Fortnight recipients, I asked other link what they thought on ciaran.

OK, so I thought I'd recount a story that illustrates how wonderful it is to work from home. See, as many of you know, I work in the high-tech industry, as do pretty much all of my peers. This isn't all that remarkable, given that I work in link and live link. This is wonderful in many respects, but in particular it's nice for the work environment. Competition is so fierce for jobs here that employers work very hard to come up with perks to incline their employees to stay at their companies. Yahoo has film screenings. Google has chefs that prepare four-star meals on a fast food budget. I understand...

Fanpop Pizza Party: Arrangements

This is just a little list I composed so that everything goes smoothly.

1st - Choosing a location: three things have to be considered: the quality of the pizzas ( I'm not going to go somewhere where the pizza sucks!), there has to be alcoholic beverages (because there's nothing funnier than a bunch of drunken Fanpoppers!) and everyone has to agree (we don't want rude fights or unhappy people in the party)!!

2nd - The guest list: everyone has to be invited since we are a welcome and loving community (VERY IMPORTANT do not forget to invite hooch, we don't eden to be a hostage again!) but if anyone...

Bullies in my class

When there´s a bully in the class is very annoying for the other people in the class and sometimes it can get ugly. But what happens when everyone in the class bullies everyone. This is the case in my class at college and is very tense in there.

The problem has already had the first victim. A while ago there was this guy that wanted to be the biggest bully of them all (lol) but the whole class started bullying him. This guy wasn´t like 15 or 16 he was 20 years old and he started crying in front of the whole class and he also called his dad so he could pick him up.

Anyways this guy never came back to the school. But now everyones starts attacking everyone you can´t say a thing because every one laughs at you including myself.

Now there´s this other guy. When he entered the school he was very confident now he looks very depressing. And the bad thing is that the teachers never say a thing about this stuff so it just keeps on going.

My first soapbox I'm seriously bored and this just came to me sooo....

1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I
know where my watch is!

2. People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire
room for the tv remote because they refuse to walk to the tv and
change the channel manually.

3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it
too". Damn right! What good is a cake if you can'teat it?

4. When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course
it is. Why the would you keep looking after you've found it?

Chain letters are bad for society well at least for mine

Chain letters, everyone can recognize those wierd messages and the wierd stuff that contain the just drive some people crazy.

Before the internet was so popular over here in Mexico and before so many people started using cellphones; again, over here in Mexico, it wasn´t that easy to make chain letters, but guess what, someone found out that the regular mail was also a way of making chain letters.

Unfurtunetly, over here in Mexico there is this quote "el que no tranza no avanza" (if you don´t fraud you wont advance in life)and someone back in the 1990´s decided to take advantage of the ignorance...

What I've learned about myself in my time on Fanpop

1) I am apparently the Worlds Most Desired Stalker™.

2) I have a gorgeous twin, who lives in Puerto Rico, and who is now fused to my left side.

3) I stalk WAY too many people. Who knows at last count.

4) I so started the Smurf craze. I am a trendsetter. Or an agitator.

5) I have now become addicted to writing showtunes, especially if it involves trolling.

6) People like to manipulate pictures of me. Therefore I must be a model. Or else on a Wanted poster.

7) People think I'm mad. And they are probably right. And scared.

8) I am addicted to Fanpop. Its worse than Bebo.

9) I now know what LOL means. I feel Intersmart!

10) I would probably be a better student if Fanpop didn't exist. But I would definitely be boreder. Yes, its a word. Don't correct me!

I just started at fanpop for 2-3 weeks ago, and I now wanna share how I felt fanpop was, when I just started. But first I wanna say how happy I am about this site, and I really like all of you very much!
It all started with me and my obsession for tv. I was watching like 5 shows everyday. I really couldn't wait to watch the next episode of Smallville, Charmed, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty and many other shows. So I started my laptop and "googled"(you know) after a website.
