All I seem to be seeing recently is advice on rating, and the importance of commenting. Not that this is a bad thing, but I think its time to get back to the true spirit of Fanpop- complete and utter randomness.

Fanpop Secret Santa 2010- A New Way

Hey all! Since 2007 Fanpop Secret Santa has been a Fanpop institution created by caintil31 and adopted by Cinders in 2008. Through this participating Fanpoppers were given a randomly selected Fanpopper to create a gift for them geared towards their interests. It could be something as simple as an icon or a nice note, to something as complex as a fan video or graphic art piece. It has been a wonderful tradition and has been great fun to take part in.

Unfortunately last year the Secret Santa was particularly frustrating due to a multitude of Fanpoppers not following through with their gifts. Smoore23...

My deepest, sincerest apologies.

The first sign of trouble was when I realized exactly how many people had signed up. It took me longer than I'd expected to send out assignments. I even had to ask for help from the incredibly magnificent and gracious link, from whom some of you may remember getting your assignment.

And even during the time period SS was going on, I lost track of who got what present. In 2008, I was really good at keeping track of that sort of thing and only four people didn't do what they promised to do, and some for valid reasons....

Status Report

So, some of you will have noticed a lack of FOTF picks and things of late and I just wanted to assure you that there are good reasons for this and that it isn't going away. I love doing it still and hope the Fanpop community does as well.

So What Happened?

To cut it short, I moved about a year ago now and have had shaky internet since going from mobile broadband via USB stick to nothing to occasional WiFi from Starbucks

What Is Happening?

I should have reliable internet by the end of the month so FOTF should return to its regular schedule and thanks for your patience with me once again

I have returned from England and Scotland after a wonderful vacation! But that doesn't really matter right now, because I just uploaded my first ever video to YouTube... a trailer for my upcoming Indy film, The Last Stand, about a dude who must survive an army of mutants in a quarantined development! Hello, fellow Fanpoppers! After a year and a half of spending good times with you all, I can say that I am happy to bring as many smiles to the community as I have, how I have always tried to help out and, most importantly, how much fun I've had. And I can also say that I really had no idea how to start this article, so I just decided to write all of the stuff you saw above randomly. Here's the real deal: I'm headin' to England for two whole weeks! In just roughly around 30-something hours, I shall see Big Ben, Stonehenge, and many, many castles! It shall be the sight of all sights, and I'll share it with all of you poor American slobs who won't bother to even get off the couch and do something once in a while! I'll be taking many pictures, and maybe I'll even find a Fanpopper or two hanging around! Happy trails to all of you!
