Fanpoppers, Stop Bribing To Increase Your Fanlist!

*Fanpoppers: Earn Your Fans ~ Don't Bribe For Them!

G'day awesome Fanpoppers!
This can either be considered as a rambling rant or as something of concern by a fellow Fanpopper. Over the last few days I have noticed that so many questions asked in the Answers feature is in relation to users trying to increase their fanlist. I have come across at least half a dozen questions in various spots where users are asking other users to fan them and promising to reward them with props.
To me that just is not the appropriate way to increase one's fanlist. Your fans, just like your props, should be earned!
What bothers me is just how many people are requesting...

Vultures

Bullys are vultures because like vultures a bully will only pick on those that appear weak.

A vulture is really a cowardly creature that only goes after prey that is weak. A vulture will never attack another animal that will fight back.

I'm not advocating violence because that just leads to more problems. But I do think a person should give an appearance of strength to ward off
any bullys. A bully just wants to get a rise out of you so don't give them want and go about your business. Always take the high road when being confronted by a bully and don't sink to their leval of cruelty.

Like most of you I was picked on when I was in school but I never gave into them or resort to violence. I just ignored them and went on with my life because they were not worth fighting. A bully is nothing but a vuture looking for weak prey.

Season's Greetings

It's almost Christmas and I want to send out
season's greetings to everyone on my fanlist.
I would love to send greetings to you all
individually but since my fanlist has swollen
to over 200 people that won't be pactical. So
I decided to take the shotgun approach and just
send a blanket season's greetings to everyone on
my fanlist.

In whatever manner you celebrate the season in
your part of the world I hope you all will have a
wonderful time with your families and friends. And that you all be safe during the holidays.

Here's hoping everyone has a grand time and that in the coming year you will all find peace and prosperity in your lives.

CIARRA'S aka SASSYRAVEN HAD NEW BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL

Today December 8th at 7:50 pm a beautiful baby girl was born.... her name is Samantha Ann Wilson. We are all very excited to welcome this baby girl and I being one of many babies to mama on fanpop am proud to say I am a big sister now.=)
She came out about 6 pounds and 11 oz. Congradulations mamma to your new bundle of joy! To all that dont know Ciarra she is a great mother and a wonderful person. I give her all the luck in the world and hope to see samantha's picture soon!! Agian congrats and good luck with your new baby girl!!

My Life According to Me - Chapter One

The plane ride home was boring. I walked in the door not surprised to see Chandler, my teacup chihuahua. I was surprised, however, to find a little white box with a blue laced ribbon wrapped in a bow. under it was a cream envelope addressed to 'Becky'. I slowly opened the envelope, inside was a card with a picture of a man and a woman holding hands. I opened the card, "My love Becky, I have known you for 10 years, and in that 10 years my love for you has grown a tremendous amount. You must have found the little white box. Please open it now..."
I closed the card and gripped the tiny white box...

Paradoxia

STORY
It all started with the First Universe. An animal stumbled across a Paradox and activated it. The First Universe was swallowed into a Paradox. In this empty white space, the animal found Consciousness. It realized that, in a Paradox, the laws of Nature do not apply. So, as it got bored, it created a new universe. I decided to write this soapbox for the family of Samantha Callow.

She's a 15 year old girl, which died early Friday morning. Around 3:00 am, this morning while driving her parents car. Her parents didn't know that she had the car.

Who knew that what seemed to be a joyride turned into a deathful situation.

I would like to deticate the sopabox article to the family. And expecially her brother Tom Callow. I knew him really well and He goes to my school. When I heard the terrible news.. I noticed what he was going through today. Just this morning another thing happened.

My First Two Years on Fanpop

2006 was a tumultuous year for me. In the spring my wife and I discovered that we were pregnant again, and believe me when I say that there are a host of attendant anxieties that come with any pregnancy. How could we fit another person into our already-cramped house? How could we afford to support another? Beyond that, I'd just become the project manager of a pretty high-profile project in the middle of the project, and that had a bunch of issues that I inherited.

So you check out Fanpop pretty regularly, and sometimes you see picks, comments, soapboxes, or forum posts that you want to respond to, but don't know if you should. I'm not talking about whether or not you should add some naughty innuendo to a comment, or reply to something that made you laugh. I'm speaking more of the content that makes you react negatively. Maybe it annoyed you, offended you, or it's a feud between two fanpoppers that you know. In any case, you don't like it, and you want to say something, but you're not sure what that is.

How did you discover fanpop?

I've been wondering this for a while. How did everyone discover fanpop? I found it when I googled, "The Office full episodes." I found them on fanpop and started looking at the other spots. All the media on each spot was amazing. There was so much stuff on one topic. I was office crazy for a while and was on there nearly everyday until I discovered the harry potter spot. Finally I met other people who loved harry potter as much as me. I started finding other spots with my interests. I even made a spot. I check fanpop everyday for updates. I've become a fanpop fanatic. So, how did you discover fanpop?

This is the real me... always

Honesty is the best policy

I joined Fanpop in May 2007 and I have been tremendously active on the site since the very first day. I understand how Fanpop can grow and anything that I can add to help out, I will. One thing I love doing is leaving comments. It is a perfect way to let people know what you think or to start a great discussion. I have always been real and honest in my opinions and I trust them. Lately I feel like I have to think way too long before I click submit on a comment. That feeling is slowly diminishing but some fans seem to have a problem with people stating their opinions.
