Chapter 1
[Lancewing's Point of View]
Life as the lone wolf... a lonely life especially in space. I am an Autobot Brainmaster, one of the most advanced Cybertronians modified by the Nebulons, a pleasant race to at least talk with. Four others were modified with me; Star Saber, Blacker, Braver, and Laster. It was fun, but my spark later grew apart from them. Soon, I decided to be relieved from Star Saber's team and went solo. I wouldn't say that I was completely alone; I had a pet wolf named Anthri. I have never seen him transform into anything, but not all Transformers need an alternate mode. In fact he was later modified when I found him. He doesn't have a brainmaster unit like I do, but he is able to interact with mine. He can also combine with my original transtector to form a larger, more powerful robot.
I suddenly received a transmission. "This is Optimus Prime calling any Autobots in the area; the Decepticons have been spotted on the planet Earth. We know not what they are up to, but we need as much help as possible. If you are interested, follow these coordinates."
This was definitely a live transmission. After I gave it some thought, I said, "Optimus Prime, this is Lancewing, I'm on my way."
I reached Earth. It looked primitive, so I thought, "What's the worst that can happen?" When I entered the planet's atmosphere, I saw several jets flying toward me. That was when the warning system began to warn me of, "Decepticons!"
I tried to maneuver my ship away from the attackers, but it was no use. My ship was shot down, which knocked me and Anthri into stasis...
[Meanwhile]
[Optimus Prime's Point of View]
"Autobots, we have fought valiantly against the Decepticon threat. We have maintained vigilance among the locals of the planet in our battles and have not raised any alarms. We have suffered many casulties, but have gained new allies. Though the Decepticons are currently silent, they are just as deadly. We need to be ready for their next strike. New recruits, it's time to introduce yourselves."
"My name's Bumblebee," a small, yellow Autobot said, "If you want intel, then I'm the one for the job."
"The name's Ironhide," a larger, red Autobot said, "I ain't the one goin' down without a fight."
"Wasn't there one more," I asked.
"Yes," Ratchet replied, "his name is Lancewing, but his spark signature disappeared in this sector."
"It's close to a railroad, we can make it from here. Come with me."
Ratchet and I walked over to another room, which had a platform with two rails aligned side by side, close enough for one engine to travel on them. I transformed into a Victorian Railways R class locomotive and Ratchet transformed into a British Rail Class 08 shunter. The platform elevated ad the roof opened. We were soon on an actual railroad and were on our way to the crash site. When we got there, we saw the ship in it's damaged state. We retrieved Lancewing and apparently his pet and returned to base.
[Later]
"Ratchet, is there anything you can do for these two," I asked.
"Lancewing's technology is far advanced, but he's only in stasis lock. All I need to do is add more energon and..."
Lancewing wakes up, "ANTHRI, GET TO THE STASIS CHAMBERS BEFORE- Wait... Where am I?"
"You are in Autobot headquarters stationed in Nome, Alaska on Earth," I answered, "My name is Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots."
"Ow... my head hurts... My name's Lancewing. Wait, where’s Anthri?"
Ratchet asked, "Are you referring to a white, robotic wolf about your size?"
"Yes."
"He was severely damaged in the landing. He can be fixed, but it will take a few hours."
"Oh. Well, as long as he's okay, that's all that matters."
