The idea as below as in inverted crosses is mostly for irony, its not because Satanism is required. Goths being satanic is utter bullshit! over a year ago

You say "
Do you wear skulls or inverted crucifixes? Have you ever experimented with pale faces and black makeup? Do you wear clothing that would make you look dead?"
2. Tell that to the perky goths, or the victorian goths, there are so many subtypes that to categorize it by those standards is idiotic (no offense). And there are closet goths (people like moi) who love the style/music/have the mindset, but can't wear it because parents would go apeshit and take their clothes and kick them out. Your a poser if you call yourself gothic, do you actually listen to goth bands? Say Bauhaus or an easier one Evanescence? Do you wear skull or crucifixes? Have you experimented with pale face and black makeup?

1st off: Evanescence is not goth. It's closer to goth, but not goth, it's not. They go for a more organic sound while gothic rock goes for a more industrial sound, and most goth rock doesn't involve death and that shit. The Divine Madness/Kissing violet is an example of this. Posted over a year ago

We already know the Evanescence aims for a more pop sound in the gothic genre thus making as close to goth as green day is to punk, still it is definately for starters. over a year ago
