A part of me is pretty excited. Another part of me is thinking, "Seriously, Disney, The Lion King was one of your best movies. Leave it alone." Still, it could be really good. I talked with people who have seen the live action Cinderella, and they said it was really good. I talked with people who have seen the GGI/live action The Jungle Book. I asked if it was as good as the 1967 animated film, and they said it was better. So, maybe, there's a glimmer of potential.

It's not so much worry that they'd mess it up, it's more a concern about link and the fact that I just plain don't like live action talking animals.

I am, however, very interested in seeing how they go about tackling certain scenes! I saw the trailer for the new Jungle Book and was impressed at how high quality it looked, and got the impression the directing was excellent, although I haven't seen the movie itself. I expect they'll be able to do something high quality with The Lion King too, I just don't know if it's something I personally would want a live action version of.

I don't mind if The Lion King was in live action like The Jungle Book as long it doesn't suck and have low ratings. It's bad enough that I dislike The Lion Guard, even though it's made for kiddies. When the trailer comes out, I'll check it out to see how it looks. I like the drawing animation of The Lion King than anything and I'm definitely not a big fan of CGI animation. We'll just see.

I didn't even realize there was going to be a Live Action Lion King movie. I'm really tired of people saying that new movies will ruin the original ones... People should be more logical, new movies does NOT ruin or do anything to the other movies, they will always be the same and they will always be there, it doesn't affect each other, just think of it as a new movie entirely.

But I'll wait and watch the trailer first and then decide if I'm going to watch it.
