Hi guys, I had seen the live-action reboot of the Lion King and here is my review on this all-time classic that we grew up with. Then, I will write a comparison article on both versions.

The Story

Okay, I am very impressed that the majority of the film is left untouched. Except that a couple of scenes are relatively new that were not seen in the 1994 animated feature, which also includes character developments for both Nala and Sarabi at the Pride Rock after Simba was expelled.
But, I was a little disappointed that a couple of scenes were shortened and rush. But on the other hand, they did not want to be an extra minute long, if you know what I mean!
Finally, I was really surprise that both Timon and Pumbaa sang Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast. I was expecting them to do the Hula Dance, but I guess that they want to try something different for the reboot especially.

The Characters

I am very happy that Nala has more screen time in a contrast to her namesake animated counterpart. I like how she sneaks out of Pride Rock to search for help and finds Simba along the way unexpectedly, who is actually alive.
The same can be said for both Scar and Sarabi, especially that they have more interactions with one another. But this Scar is more vicious than his animated version. Mufasa still remains the same here though, and I am not really taken aback by these 2 characters in the reboot at all!
Thirdly, there were more hyenas in a contrast to the animated version. Especially when we first introduce to them. Shenzi has more lines and is seen to be the leader of the gang who wants revenge against Mufasa.
Finally, this version of Timon and Pumbaa are both way funnier than their animated counterpart. Though I sort of miss both Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella who voiced both characters in the 1994 animated version.

The Songs & The Musical Scores

We get to hear the familiar musical scores and the songs composed by Hans Zimmer and Elton John respectively, with lyrics by Tim Rice.
But there is two new songs that were written specially for this reboot, when Simba goes back to the Pride Rock after finding out who he is with Rafiki's help.
The second song was written by Elton John himself, which appeared at the ending credits.
Finally, Beyonce Knowles sang a wonderful rendition of "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" with Donald Glover. In fact, this is the best rendition alongside the original version!

The Scenery

Every-time I see this movie, I think of its picturesque African scenery. The scenery in this reboot left me breathless, much better than the animated version!

The Circle of Life

So, here is my review on the highest grossing film that capture everybody's heart. Tell me what do you think in the comments! Next stop, the comparison!

The first of the sun rays peeked over the horizon as Mabaya woke up.She let out a big yawn and heaved herself to her paws. She peeked out of the cave she lived in with all the other outlanders. She could see the fresh-kill pile, but there wasn't that much food instead of three scrawny field mice. She started to head over to the pile when something hit here. She rolled over and over when she hit into something. She then looked up into the face of Nuka.''What was that for''he asked, glaring angrily at her.''Sorry''she said scrambling to her paws.''You better be''he growled, biting at his flank.Mabaya...

This is NOT another rant about canon. No. This is about something I find rather sad instead of annoying.

Why doess this fandom's situation sadden me? Why do I take this so seriously? Why do I bother writing a lengthy article like this? Because I don't think Disney is ALL about enrichening people's life and encouraging creativity. It is essentially also about teaching values and morals. The whole point of this article is to remind people of that and how because of that any conspiracy theories and fan-made stories should not be falsely claimed as what really happened.

I honestly believe Disney...

I don't think so. And as canon I now mean the sequel movie The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride because it's the main source for those theories.

It's true, they can't show every little detail about crucial plot parts in a film. But what they can do is refer to everything crucial. Like, in this case, if there had been another cub before Kiara, they could've and would've said so in the film.

In example, they could've had Simba and Nala briefly discuss it instead of how much Kiara reminds them of Simba. Or, combined the two topics.

Nala: "She's just like you when you were young."
Simba could've replied...

Hi everyone, I just want to say before Frozen came into the picture. The Lion King had a number of things that taught me while I first watch this movie many years ago, here they are.

Let it Go!

Yes, the Lion King had actually taught us to let go of our past. It also taught me to improve my future along the way while learning from my mistakes in life, our life is full of ups and downs.

Parental Love

It also promotes about loving your parents like Simba and Mufasa did, I really love my parents despite that we do not agree on a number of things, especially with my relationship with my mother.

The Circle of Life

5 years ago, my favourite dog pet died unexpectedly and I was really sad over it. But I managed to let go of it because it's part of the Circle of Life, and I truly understood this line.

Thank You Simba!

These are the 3 reasons on why the movie will always cherish in my heart. So, do you agree?

PLEASE READ part one if you haven't read it yet it will give you better sense in what's going on in this story

Timon gets up and goes in front of Simba, Timon:" Simba, I'm sorry I was annoyed by what you two did to me and again I'm sorry do you forgive me?" Simba didn't say anything but then looked at him Simba:" (sigh) I forgive" he says giving a slight smile then giving Timon a hug. Night has fallen as Nala once again laying in the dead almost just ground grass, decided to stay out and look at the stars with her face still sore from the abuse of Scar, as she looks up rubbing her sore face...

The next morning in the jungle Timon is the first to wake up as he looks around noticing that Simba isn't where he usually sleeps, Timon:" did he really sleep there all night?" Timon leaves Pumbaa to sleep as he goes to looks for Simba, Timon went to the area where they looked at the stars the other night and Timon found peaceful sleeping Simba who looks like he's in a very intense dream or nightmare by a guess of him moving his back paws rapidly. (In Simba's dream) In his dream it's about him, his father, Nala, and mother, it shows him throwing his father off the cliff as Nala and his mother...
