It was called Rob Schneider’s Polar Bear Comedy Norm of the North Set for 2016 | Variety
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Splash Entertainment has set an early 2016 release for animated polar bear comedy “Norm of the North,” with Rob Schneider voicing Norm.
Heather Graham, Ken Jeong and Loretta Devine are also on board to voice characters.
Splash made the announcement on the opening day of the Toronto Film Festival, adding that it has created a new feature film division within the company.
Lionsgate will distribute “Norm” in North America. International sales are being handled by Good Universe.
Nicolas Atlan and Mike Young, Co-CEOs of Splash Entertainment, will produce along with Splash Entertainment’s Liz Young and Steve Rosen.
The movie follows the exploits of Norm, a fun-loving polar bear, and his three ragtag lemming pals in their bid to save their Arctic home.
Splash specializes in children’s programming such as “Chloe’s Closet” and “Sabrina Secrets of a Teenage Witch.”
“Norm of the North” was first announced as a project in 2010.
