Just started watching Homeland last weekend, what an amazing show. Totally upsetting to see Brody is gone. He made Homeland so exciting. Brody should miraculously be brought back at the end of the shows finale. There was no closure with his family, what an awful storyline re: Dana, that was just a bunch of filler. Reunite Brody with with Carrie, his daughter and his family. They were put through the wringer and then a drive by later on, shows their house boarded up. Too many loose ends.

yep. it's a clean slate, and I like it ...as much as I love him they dragged Brody's storyline for to long, now the show can carry on and start fresh, which imo is just what Homeland needs , and with characters like Carrie, Saul and Quinn I have no doubt they will succeed :)over a year ago
Where we find Saul in Season 3:
Gansa: “Saul finds himself in a unique position for the first time in his life. He’s sitting in the director’s chair. He’s been comfortable on the sidelines for 20 years, criticizing and making suggestions. All of the sudden, he finds himself having to make decisions, and he has to make some very uncharacteristic choices he isn’t used to making. One of them has direct bearing on his protégé Carrie Mathison.”

Where we find Carrie in Season 3:
Claire Danes: “Carrie is always sitting on her own personal ticking bomb. It’s always an impossible dilemma because she is not great on her meds and even worse off them,” but there’s a “sweet spot” when she finds the balance between the states.

On the focus of Season 3:
Gansa: “Certainly one of the themes of season 3 is the cost of being an intelligence officer. Saul and Carrie are prime examples of that this season.”

On the decision to reduce Damian Lewis’ role for Season 3:
EP Alex Gansa: “”The decision to not have Brody in the first two episodes was strictly a function of the story. Whether there’s a backlash or not is completely beyond our control.”

Damian Lewis: “Brody is on the lam, he’s disappeared into a tunnel and exfiltration system that Carrie has effected. He’s the most wanted criminal in the world, so he has to lay low. I think when you do see Brody, what state will he be in? Is he swanning around a yacht on the Cote d’Azure with a bevy of Russsian beauties — which I pitched? Is he hidden away? Is he lost? When you do see him, I hope it will be interesting.”over a year ago

"If we were panicked after the first season's success, we're utterly terrified for Season 3," Gansa said shortly after the Showtime series won for best drama. He then joked, "We haven't heard from our [CIA] consultants since we blew up our CIA at the end of the season."

“When Brody and Carrie are on screen, especially when they’re on screen together, that’s when the show really comes alive in a way. And so it’s great that they’re both recognized because the show would be much lesser without either one of them.” - Alex Gansa

Quinn's still alive! Please make him a series regular next season. His scene in the bedroom with Estes was my favourite part of the season finale.

“Have you ever had someone who somehow takes over your life, pulls you in and gets you to do things that are not really you? Do you have anyone like that?” Rather than respond, “Um, do you watch Showtime every Sunday night?” Carrie simply nods lol this made me laugh ...my exact feelings while watching this show :))

I'm curious as to who's going to be in season 3. At this point, I feel like Carrie is the only person who will definitely be sticking around. Between Brody, Estes, Saul, and Quinn, I predict that at least one of them is going to be killed in the season finale. And now that Brody and Jess are finished, what point is there in keeping her, the kids, and Mike around?

I agree with you ...All except Carrie are fair game ...because lets face it ...they wanted to kill Brody in the 1st season so ... . Can some one put me in a medically induced coma until next Sunday?over a year ago
I'm feeling desperate right now... I can't see nothing good in the season finale... is just me??
That promo make me scream!! WTF!

I am in panic mode! Its like I've never have been as scared as I have been lately. This show is ruin me. I AM NOT READY FOR A DISGRACE. *Tears*over a year ago
love the promo ...its so intense ...must have watched it 20 times ... I think they are setting the groundwork for season 3 and I'm so scared that its the ending to this tragic love story like Saul said: you cannot be with him! think I need therapy asap :(over a year ago
Oh Laura I heard everyone saying the same...Its blowing my mind, I don't wanna believe in the worst but its being kinda hard lately. What do you think? Will he survive?over a year ago
I don't know ....I wanna see him alive and kicking in the 3rd season everyone and everything is pointing in the other direction sadly ...he served his purpose imo ...he killed Walden and finally found some peace, he lost his family in Mike's favor and he kinda seemed content with that ...it's like he is ready for the end of his journey and now with Estes and Quinn on his tale ... the only tie he has is with Carrie and it's killing me to think this will all end in 2 episodes ...God this show is driving me crazy !!!over a year ago
2012's EW Entertainers of the Year: Homeland cast
No show this year had people buzzing about it the next morning like the second season of Showtime's Emmy-winning hit Homeland. The twisty saga of unstable CIA agent Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) and her love affair with reluctant terrorist/congressman Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) advanced with breathless speed this season and shocking twists.

''I think that's part of the talent of this writing room is that they're not afraid to kill the sacred cow,'' says Lewis. ''They're prepared to be bold in their storytelling. Who knows if they've got any more story up their sleeves but it's been a thrilling ride!'' —Tim Stackover a year ago
It as been quite a ride this season. Very strong, also very real, very honest and the chimestry between Damian Lewis & Claire Danes is unstoppable! They almost burn tv screen with their deep. I love them and I can't bare to think Of loosing Brody on the way. I can't and I won't!over a year ago
This Sunday’s Homeland showed Carrie and Brody kissing. Please tell me this won’t be a letdown?!
By kiss do you mean make-out session? Because that’s what is coming your way this Sunday! Carrie and Brody get some solid mouth-to-mouth action next episode that definitely leaves us wanting more. But don’t think these two are on the road to a functioning relationship—they are still up, down, up, and have some serious trust issues, only this time they are on Brody’s end.

“When she touches Brody, it is real…We may not know where his loyalties now lie but we know he didn’t signal Roya. It’s a good rule of thumb (pun intended) on this show: when you want to know what is really valuable to Brody, watch his hands. He raises them over his head to pray, uses them to bury his friend and his Koran, touches Carrie’s hand” - New York Observer “A Gettysburg Address”

In Homeland, 2×06 ‘A Gettysburg Address,’ Dana visits the hospital and is shocked by what she sees there. Faber gets tangled up with the CIA when he asks one too many questions about Tom Walker. Brody agrees to work with Carrie and Quinn to stop an attack on America, but his loyalty to the United States is questioned when Gettysburg once again becomes a battleground.

Brody seems to be keeping his word to help the CIA… for now. He’ll give Carrie & Co. some valuable intel about the shop where his suicide vest was made. The real question: Will paranoid Carrie believe Brody, even when he’s telling the truth? Then again, by the end of the next episode, she’ll have a very good reason to be suspicious.

“The point is for Carrie to turn Brody back to the good side[…] And we do this little play in the middle of the episode about Carrie which enter into Brody’s soul and finding the essential good in the man…”
