It is no secret the Disney’s Princess franchise is one of the most lucrative for young children today. It is the number one girls’ toy brand in the US and made profits of $4 billion in worldwide sales. Therefore, these characters are going to be role models for countless girls across the world. I want to look at what lessons children can take from these characters and stories that will be positive and why each of these characters can be a positive role model to girls- and boys, for that matter- of any age.

Snow White
Snow White has incredible emotional strength. She is able to handle everything...

I thought to myself: Why just restrict yourself to their singing? I mean, you have nothing better to do except that entry to that dA contest you keep procrastinating.
All the princesses, sadly, have American accents. Even though most of them aren't American. Goddamnit. Would it kill for Belle to have a sweet French accent and Aurora to have a German one? Jus' sayin'.

I did not make up this poem. I found it on youtube and I thought it was really cute. I just wanted to share. Hope you enjoy!

Cinderella walked on broken glass

Aurora let a whole lifetime pass

Belle fell in love with a hideous beast

Pocahontas risked her life for a feast

Jasmine could have chose anyone instead she chose a poor man

Ariel walked on land all for love and for life

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an unperfect person perfectly.

I say this article made my sweetie-94 a couple of months ago and since these are my top two favorite princesses I thought it'd be a cool idea. Sweetie-94 got this idea from KataraLover who originally made an article comparing Ariel and Merida. So, let's get started! :)

Similarities

Aurora and Snow White aren't as similar as most people make them out to be. Personally I find Aurora more similar to Pocahontas and Elsa, while Snow is more similar to Anna. They definitely have similarities though. One being the fact that they're kind to everyone they meet, neither seem to have a rude bone in their...
