I'm not strictly doing these in chronological order, it's just a coincidence that I chose Ariel next. You might think Ariel isn't a Mary Sue because of her obvious flaws that a lot people hate her for, but I think she still could be. Mary Sues can have flaws (hence why that trait doesn't just say "No flaws" and nothing else). So let's see.

Unique traits without contacts or hair dye- Sort of. Red hair is common enough, but her shade of red definitely isn't. .5
An odd name- Sort of. 'Ariel' is common enough by mermaid standards, but she's the only one of her siblings with a name not ending in A, which is a big Mary Sue trait - being "special" or "different". .5
Looks constantly commented on- Yes, but only by Eric, and it makes sense that he would focus on her looks. .5
Multiple characters falling for her- No, only Eric.
Gets into the relationships she wants- Yes. While meeting Eric wasn't her only reason for becoming human, it was definitely one of her main motivations. 1.
Always the hero- Kind of. She saved Flounder from the shark and Eric from drowning. So not a lot of times, and she didn't defeat the main villain while her prince did, but she also never had to be saved. .5
No flaws or any flaws addressed or causing a negative impact- No. Triton and Sebastian definitely call her out on her selfishness and recklessness, and her decision causes Ursula to nearly take over the kingdom. Though the one thing that kind of undermines this is that she gets what she wants in the end anyway. But I think it's enough to let her off a point or two.
Seen as perfect/angelic in everyone's eyes- Not really, only in Eric's eyes. Triton and Sebastian see her as an immature child, and most of the humans see her as weird instead of charming.
Always loved and trusted without earning it- Yes and no. It makes sense that Eric would be drawn to the girl who saved his life, and even then, she has to win him over after he doesn't recognize her. But her animal friends love and stay loyal to her even after all the trouble she puts them through (even if Sebastian complains about it). Triton doesn't count since she's her father and of course he'd always love her. Since this would usually get a half point for a one-point trait, it's getting one point. 1.
Love and trust from closed-off characters- No, I can't remember any closed-off characters in the film.
Other characters degraded for her sake- Not as far as I can remember.
A rival to make her look good- Not really. Vanessa (aka Ursula) is her rival for Eric's affection, but Ariel isn't portrayed as the superior love interest since Ursula never wanted to be Eric's love interest and was just using him.
Never fails- Kind of. The only thing she failed at was arriving for the concert, which she didn't care about at all. 1.
Never injured- Yes. I can't remember a time Ariel was injured. 1.
Always praised and rewarded without earning it- Yes. Even after all the trouble she caused, Triton just handed her her happy ending. 1.
Unrealistically skilled/powerful- Not really, she showed a realistic naivete and ignorance at being human (I should really focus on how good they are at things for this instead of focusing on the amount of skills they have - slight difference). Being able to save Flounder and Eric was realistic, and she didn't defeat Ursula in the end.
Always figures things out- No. She didn't figure out Ursula was tricking her,
Skilled in a wide variety of things- No, only singing and collecting things.
Contradictory traits- Not really (though in the sequel, she does, though I'm not discussing that)
Kind but deadly- Yeah, she's supposed to be kind and free-spirited but also feisty and rebellious. 1.
Tragic backstory- Sort of. Her life is pretty nice compared to the other princesses, but there's a lot of attention on how she feels trapped and oppressed and wants more. (That also describes Jasmine perfectly, now that I think about it) .5
Always gets what she wants- Definitely. She gets to leave the sea, get her prince, and even stay human. Even when it seems like she won't get what she wants, she does anyway. 1.
Rarely shows negative emotions- No. She gets angry quite a few times, and breaks down at least twice.
A resurrection- Nope.

That's 10.5 out of 24. Honestly more than I expected, but not a Mary Sue (though not a huge non-Sue, if that makes sense). That doesn't mean she isn't a bad character, which a lot of people would argue she is. In fact, you could argue she's too flawed and not idealistic enough.
This film tells the story of a sixteen year old mermaid Ariel who is dissatisfied greatly with her life under the sea. Paying no attention to the warnings of her father, King Triton, and the court musician, the crab Sebastian, Ariel and her best friend, Flounder the fish frequently reach the surface of the ocean, and with the help of the goofy seagull named Scuttle, they collect human artifacts.

Regardless of her awareness of the forbidden contact between humans and sea people, Ariel strives to become part of the human world. Hiding in her secret cave, Ursula, who has been looking for a chance...

PrincessAyeka12 gave me the fabulous idea of coming up with what books and authors each princess would like to read. We already know that Belle's a bookworm, but what would the other princesses spend hours flipping through, totally lost to the outside world? I had a lot of fun with this article, since I love reading. I've read at least one book from most of these authors, although not all of them. All credit for this idea goes to PrincessAyeka12! All images made by me.

Snow White

I get the distinct feeling that Snow would just adore classic children's books such as Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures...

So as some of you may have read, and if not then I highly recommend(!), my link. In that article, I mentioned a website called link which helped me a lot with understanding dominant characteristics relative to seasons. This site also provided a little Fashion Style Quiz! So, I couldn't help myself but to try and put myself in each of the DP's shoes and take the quiz for each DP to see what style they'd get. I humbly do believe the results came out fairly accurate but I'd love to hear what you guys think!

I listed each Disney Princess in accordance with their dominant fashion persona. They all...

12 Season Color Wheel
12 Season Color Wheel
So I never really got to experience much of fashion-culture growing up and have just recently begun to give it any focus or attention. I have heard of the rule that "Redheads shouldn't wear pink." and I have seen some people discuss this here on FanPop in terms of Ariel and her pink dress. I have also read many comments debating Aurora's famous "Blue vs. Pink Dress". In those discussions, I heard a talented user on this site, link say things like "She's a Winter." etc. I thought that was so fascinating! I had never heard of this concept before so I decided to look into it. That is how I came...

Please note that this is a countdown where we users make a lot of assumptions and don't provide proof of anything. This is for the amusement so please don't kill the fun :)

11. Prince
The Prince from Snow White comes in last place, can't say I'm stunned. At that time, Disney animators haven't mastered drawing male characters yet so I'm guessing what's underneath isn't HD quality either. He's also quite feminine looking, petite frame with soft edges. No worries though, Snow White loves his man for his huuuuuuuge heart :)

10. Charming
Nope, still not quite there with drawing men. Charming...

We all know the step-sister from Cinderella that ends up reforming in the sequels. However, many people seem to have criticisms about her because they feel that she shouldn't have been forgiven by Cinderella, there was nothing to show that she deserved to be redeemed, and that it's ridiculous that she got to be redeemed but Drizella didn't. First of all, I think I need to explain where this idea of Anastasia reforming came from. In the original Charles Perrault version of Cinderella, Cinderella's real name was actually Ella. When she became a servant she would sleep by the fireplace to keep...

One of my favorite songs of all time.
One of my favorite songs of all time.
Disney's Frozen is receiving rave reviews, and the song"Let It Go"is one of the highlights of the film.Don't take my word for it-Wikipedia,as usual is great for such simple backround facts.I have decided that Elsa is my favorite Disney character, but I'm having internal debate whether"Let It Go"is my favorite Disney song-time will tell, but I'm leaning towards"yes".On my Google search history, there are queries such as "Let It Go is brilliant" and "Frozen Let It Go analysis",but having found nothing satisfactory,I've decided to write this post instead.
There has been much written about Let It...

I've never done this before. And as a new user, I'm pretty sure that I'm dipping into a kind of no-man's land, here.

I primarily judge Disney princesses not by their looks or anything, but by their character, and by their plot-lines. Some of the Disney princesses are less developed than others, in my opinion, and that might be partially due to the story/plot-line itself ( as most of Disney is adaptation-based).

Some of the characteristics of each princess I find admirable, while other traits I just find...for lack of a better term...irritating. Yeah.

I'm going to rate the Disney princesses...

This is a serious article. Eyebrows frame your face so you need to have the right pair. I spend way too much time plucking and grooming my eyebrows so yeah, I think eyebrows are very aesthetically important. I noticed the results look a bit like my non-existent prettiest Princess list with a few exceptions of course.

13. Mulan
They are Asian looking alright, with the shape. I promise I don't have anything against big eyebrows but Mulan's kind of overpower her eyes and they look a bit untamed. They are definitely not bad, just comparing to the others. Shang has nice strong arched eyebrows though....

One of the best things about Disney princess films are their princesses(obviously) and songs. As a singer, music lover, and actor, I've always paid close attention to the voices that bring these wonderful characters and songs to life. I am picky about the voices I like but can admit that no princess has a bad voice, some are just much better than others. Share your opinions.
13. Snow White
Let me begin by saying that I'm ranking both singing and speaking voices and that even though she's at the bottom, I don't hate Snow White's voice. Let's be honest here, most people find her voice to be annoying....
