The wisdom of an old tree
The wisdom of an old tree
On the first day of Princess Walt Disney gave to me,
The wisdom of an old tree.

Well, this is not what you'll get from me, but since we have decided to acknowledge Moana it has occured to me, that 12 is a very loaded number: 12 Mayor Gods in the Greek and Roman Mythology, 12 months in a year, 12 days of Christmas. And there it was, the inspiration for a small collection of Christmas goodies I want to gift to the club this year.

I would have loved to offer up exactly 12 goodies for 12 days, but frankly, I wanted to create something I felt you would actually enjoy, rather than forcing me to reach exactly the number 12. But there will be 12 articles in the next weeks leading up to Christmas (yes, I know, it is technically too early for the 12 days of Christmas, but I wanted to spread the fun a little bit out anyway).

Despite what the Icon on top suggest, this first one will be all about Mulan. And this is the reason why:

Yep, I created a calendar for the upcoming year. Each month will feature a different princess, and each of them will have exactly one holiday featured. As you can see, Mulan got the January because I wanted to feature the Chinese New Year rather than the standard New Year. I mean, I am sure you all know when that one is anyway, plus, I kind of lucked out since the Chinese New Year is usually in February, but next year it is scheduled quite early, so it didn't conflict with the holiday I picked for February.

I also created a wallpaper featuring this calendar in three different seizes. Some of you might remember, but that is the reason why I asked about the perfect wallpaper seize for you computer a few weeks ago. I did one seize for every answer I got, featuring either a beautiful background of a concept art, combined with the calender. You can find those at the end of the article (frankly, I was worried that they wouldn't load, because some of them are quite large).

I also created an Icon which can be used to celebrate Chinese New Year once it happens. Or just in general. Just like everything else in this article, it is free for grabs:

I also wanted to do something simple but chrismassy for you, so I created a "golden version" of the princesses combined with their respective names. Mulan looks like this:

And, because I thought that some of you might want to use just the gold name, here is a version without her:

I also considered a lot of other things which come in 12. I didn't feel that I would be able to create something which would truly honor the 12 Zodiac signs, but I decided to do my own pantheon of Goddesses (with a few adjustments). In this pantheon, Mulan is replacing Ares/Mars as goddess of War, but in my version she also stands for Victory and Fire.

It was hard to pick a colour for her, since my favourite dress of her is the dark blue one, but since both her soldier uniform and one of her dresses features green, I went for dark green instead.

And finally, I created a banner to honor Mulan, using the phrase most of you connected with her:

So, I hope you enjoy all the goodies I prepared for you. Next article should be up within the next two days.

Please Note: This is a mature subject matter. If you're uncomfortable feel free not to read.

This is my first time writing an article on Fanpop as well as on the topic of Disney but I have in fact written comprehensive articles about the place sexuality holds in American society so I at least can claim to know my facts fairly well. This is a break down on movie by movie basis exploring the sexual tones, or what I can pull since these are really films for kids, of not only the princess but also the prince as well as a few characters on the side. Let's go in chronological order!

Snow White and...

Okay I'm trying to make a complete list of all Disney Princesses. To make this list the Disney girl must be either born royalty or she marries royalty. (So while Mulan is awesome, she doesn't make the cut) This is to include all princesses not just leading ladies.
If you see one is not on the list please comment.

Born Royalty
-Adella (King Triton's Daughter)
-Alana (King Triton's Daughter)
-Andrina (King Triton's Daughter)
-Aquata (King Triton's Daughter)
-Ariel
-Arista (King Triton's Daughter)
-Atta (A Bug's Life)
-Attina (King Triton's Daughter)
-Aurora
-Dot (A Bug's Life)

This film tells the story of a sixteen year old mermaid Ariel who is dissatisfied greatly with her life under the sea. Paying no attention to the warnings of her father, King Triton, and the court musician, the crab Sebastian, Ariel and her best friend, Flounder the fish frequently reach the surface of the ocean, and with the help of the goofy seagull named Scuttle, they collect human artifacts.

Regardless of her awareness of the forbidden contact between humans and sea people, Ariel strives to become part of the human world. Hiding in her secret cave, Ursula, who has been looking for a chance...

So as some of you may have read, and if not then I highly recommend(!), my link. In that article, I mentioned a website called link which helped me a lot with understanding dominant characteristics relative to seasons. This site also provided a little Fashion Style Quiz! So, I couldn't help myself but to try and put myself in each of the DP's shoes and take the quiz for each DP to see what style they'd get. I humbly do believe the results came out fairly accurate but I'd love to hear what you guys think!

I listed each Disney Princess in accordance with their dominant fashion persona. They all...

Please note that this is a countdown where we users make a lot of assumptions and don't provide proof of anything. This is for the amusement so please don't kill the fun :)

11. Prince
The Prince from Snow White comes in last place, can't say I'm stunned. At that time, Disney animators haven't mastered drawing male characters yet so I'm guessing what's underneath isn't HD quality either. He's also quite feminine looking, petite frame with soft edges. No worries though, Snow White loves his man for his huuuuuuuge heart :)

10. Charming
Nope, still not quite there with drawing men. Charming...

One of my favorite songs of all time.
One of my favorite songs of all time.
Disney's Frozen is receiving rave reviews, and the song"Let It Go"is one of the highlights of the film.Don't take my word for it-Wikipedia,as usual is great for such simple backround facts.I have decided that Elsa is my favorite Disney character, but I'm having internal debate whether"Let It Go"is my favorite Disney song-time will tell, but I'm leaning towards"yes".On my Google search history, there are queries such as "Let It Go is brilliant" and "Frozen Let It Go analysis",but having found nothing satisfactory,I've decided to write this post instead.
There has been much written about Let It...
