The infamous line that annoys a lot of Disney fans, including myself. I felt like I should just give an FYI as to why exactly this whole "thing" in Frozen bothers me, because I think some people are unclear. Plus, I felt like writing an article, so why not?

1. Anna's motivation is pulled out of nowhere.
In writing, there's the thing called set up and payoff. Throughout the whole first sequence of the film, which is essentially Anna's entire childhood, not one instance indicates that Anna would be a romantic. Her motivation is so specific, bizarre and contrived. I know some people are like "it makes sense that she'd want a companion". Yeah but that specific type of companionship? No, it makes no sense that she'd specifically want a "beautiful stranger tall and fair".

If the writers gave a crap, Anna's main desires would be to a) confront Elsa and try to understand why she's been shut out for so long and b) just experience the outside world in general, not this tacked on romance nonsense. When Cinderella, Jasmine, and Rapunzel first set foot out of their isolation, love was the farthest thing from their minds (it would come later but it wasn't the focus) they were too busy enjoying the freedom they've been deprived of their whole lives, because they were written like freaking normal people.

Or if the writers really gave a crap they would have at least tried to set up her motivation properly. All they had to do was write a quick ten-second scene early in the movie where Anna's reading a romance novel or romantic fairytale, that's it. At least then it wouldn't be such a bizarre ass-pull on the writers part.

2. It's extremely heavy-handed and annoying.
As Cheshire Cat Studios said in their Frozen analysis "[Frozen] was so desperate to let us know what it was doing". Cue Anna going on and on about how "it's true love" in response to both Elsa and Kristoff saying "you can't marry a man you just met". (no crap Sherlock) This whole aspect of the film could have easily been cut out. Hell, Hans could still be the fake-out love interest without all this obnoxious dialogue.

But of course, the writers had an agenda to push. It's just like Belle's inventing skills in the 2017 remake. It has no impact on the plot, no impact on the main relationship (Belle/Beast) and it's only shoehorned into the film only once and never brought up again. In Frozen, it's shoehorned multiple times rather than once but it still has no real importance to the overall narrative. In fact, Anna's still implied to "live happily ever after"....with a man she just met. (Kristoff) If they really wanted to drive the message home then Anna would have just stayed single, but like i said, the writers don't truly give a crap.

3. It mocks and misrepresents the older DP films.
Disney fans have explained endlessly why this aspect bothers them, we won't get into it here.

So yeah, just thought I'd clarify why it irritates me as well as other people, it's fundamentally bad character writing and it's annoyingly and condescendingly "in your face". Honestly, I kinda feel bad because the revival era gets so much flak already. lmao

Ok, I was looking through concept art for Tangled when I found this. It's the original Flynn - who was blond and broad shouldered - the complete opposite of what he ended up.

However, Kristoff is blond and broad shouldered and he has a big nose. He looks a lot like the guy in the picture.

Interestingly, all this had led me to believe that Kristoff is a recycled version of Flynn! I may be wrong, but I find my evidence pretty compelling.

What do you guys think? Do you think the resemblance is strong, or do you think it's a coincidence.
So I've been doing a poll on this for the last couple weeks or so, and here are the results. Thanks to everyone who participated in the polls and for the people who gave me their impressions in the answers section! This countdown did not include Anna or Elsa.

11. Ariel

I was actually surprised to see that Ariel got eliminated first, but I can see why. People said that that she seems like an irresponsible, careless girl who misses her father's recital. Others said that while she seemed a bit irresponsible, she seemed fun and adventurous.

"What we see of her is an irresponsible, careless girl...

Welcome! This is yet another article in defense of the classic Princesses - otherwise known as Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora. I've always wanted to write something like this but never really had the inspiration for it until I read Silverrose1991's fantastic article. I find myself constantly defending the classic three in polls on here, but I've never actually made an article on it... until now. I hope you like my article and apologies if it comes across somewhat preachy or as if I'm attempting to force people to agree with me as this is not my intention.

Note: This is not a bashing of the...

Feel free to think I'm hallucinating, but to me, it's the real-deal! I've said it once, and I'll say it again-they look JUST like each other! The only difference I see is they eyes. Belle's eyes are hazel and Padme's eyes are brown. If they had the same eye-color, I swear to God they could pass for identical twins! Hell, they can pass for fraternal twins! Of course, they're 2 different people, but they have one thing in common-royalty.

Belle is a princess and Padme was once a queen. The only thing is Belle can forever be a princess and Padme ended her term as queen and became a senator when...

A couple months back, I gave my past view on FROZEN. Now, here's my current view.

First of all, I've decided that I'm going to see the movie. I realized how good it might be. I've told my mom about it and she said it sounded interesting. I think it comes out on Thanksgiving. I might not be able to see it on Thanksgiving, but I will definitely go see it then tell you guys about it! I hope you guys like the movie as well! Now, onto Elsa.

At first, I wasn't sure about another DP joining, but now, I'm slowly starting to accept that. And to be honest with y'all, I like HER better than Anna! Maybe...

Father
A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again. A dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead lets you find your own way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt. A dad is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail...- Unknown

The Legendary Princesses
The Legendary Princesses
I did this list awhile back and I thought I'd do it again because of two reasons
1.I enjoy writing about the princesses, their qualities and why I admire them. It's a fun way to past time.
2.My opinion has changed on one of the princesses. Yeah, I know, ONE princess motivated me to rewrite this list.
In this countdown I'll do something different. I'm gonna compare how Fanpop generally feels about the princess and how I feel about her. I obviously got the information from the publicly voted countdowns. I always try to be original and it's fun to compare things.
10.Rapunzel

Hello there~

I'm Justinfangrrl and I'm here to give a bit of my own review on the Disney Pixar film Brave. Note that this is mainly opinion, but still a review nonetheless. Since this IS going to be MY opinion, I might stir up some contraversy or slight opinion squabbles due to some of the other opinions from various users on this spot... But I could be wrong. So just sit back, relax, and maybe even have a nice, intellectual conversation with me and fellow readers on the subject. I hope you enjoy my article. :) [slight SPOILER WARNING and kind of a long article..]

Okay well I've already done one of these, but that was before I discovered these little "format" everyone's been using which kind of sucked because, well, it's a good format. So here is my redo getting-to-know article.

First Name:Lily, but my real name is Lillian. Don't call me that though. I hate it. Lily is fine.

Iran.
Iran.

Country of Origin:Okay, read to be blow away? I'm from Iran. I wasn't born there, I was born in the United states, but both my parents were. For the uneducated who think Iran is the same thing as Iraq and are about to comment, "But there's a war there!": here's...

Even though it isn't the same big change as my prettiest DP list (which just changed again) it still has made a change so I decided to make this new list for you!

10. Jasmine (9)

I can't stand this girl especially with that attitude that she has. Sure, she has some moments where she's happy, but most of the time she's so angry and I don't like that. What I still like about her though is her strong self confidence and that she only wants to marry for love and that she's very relatable! Another thing that I don't like about her is that she decides to leave the palace even though she's a princess!...

Aladdin and Jasmine
Romantic Chemistry: scale of 1-10 (10)
These two are just so in love you can just feel it. They've had this indescribable bond right from the start. Sure, they've had their fair share of arguments, but in the end, it's just two kids in love. <3
