It was never like this before.

Before, it was all bliss and harmony.
The prosperity of the human race was outmatched by it's own constant state of greed.
You might call it "living in a paradox".

Now, "everything" reeks of the aftermath.
Everything might seem a bit optimistic.
The ruins of what seemed to be civilization reeks of the aftermath.

They detonated a voloptuous fusion bomb right in the middle of what was once, uhh, let me check- China. Yes.

The explosion seemed to turn back time- or so I thought- and ripples oscillated from it, which, as it turns out, had severely adverse effects on living things.
Including myself.

Radiation was bad.
This was worse.
Stuck in the middle of a forest chased by bloodthirsty mongrels, with my only child, dressed in diapers.
The mountains echoed a strange chant of earthen origin.
The trees whispered their uncountable tales of despicable horror- turns out this part of the forest was a killing field, and me and my son, stuck between life and death.

The only choice I had to make was of self-preservation.
In an act of total cowardice, I left him in a state of vulnerability, hoping that some creature would save him from certain doom.
And for once, I never looked back.
