I read that Chloe Grace Mortez will be playing Ariel in the live-action "Little Mermaid." Posted over a year ago

Does anyone else see a reoccuring pattern in their favorite princesses/princes/villains/etc? My favorite princesses have blonde hair. Posted over a year ago

A lot of my favorite characters (Lottie, Miguel, Helga, I also love Cinderella) are also blond :) over a year ago

i have 3 totally different princess as my top fav: Belle (brown hair, renaissance), Merida (red hair, modern era) and Cinderella (Pink blonde, classic era). There's practically no similarity in my top 3. over a year ago
So, I saw The Little Mermaid (live) yesterday for the second time. Even though the musical does make me love Ariel more as a character, the musical just seems less magical. The costumes were fantastic and so were the actors/actresses, but I dunno..it just feels kind of bland every time I see it :/ Posted over a year ago

Would you mind elaborating more? I've never seen as Disney musical live before, I'm curious to know why it's bland if the actors and such were good. over a year ago

I don't know. I felt that way about the live version of Beauty and The Beast which I've seen once or twice. Beauty and the Beast is underwhelming on stage, in my opinion. (B & the B is not exactly my favorite fairy-tale, anyway, so that could have lots to do with it...) I think if it's not one of your all time favorite Disney movies, you probably won't enjoy the transfer to the stage setting-- because a stage's "sets" come with "limitations" that aren't there on a screen. over a year ago

My crush and I are gonna go see The Little Mermaid (musical) tomorrow, and I'm honestly so excited. After that, I told him I had never been to church and he invited me to come with him on Sunday! What a pleasant week I'm having :) Posted over a year ago

Sounds nice, I've wanted to see The Little Mermaid musical for some time, it looks really interesting and it's great that you're going to visit a church for the first time, hopefully you'll like both experiences :) over a year ago

OOOOHHHH!!! Yes, The Little Mermaid musical is fantastic!!! I LOVED IT. In this version, Ariel saves the day even more!!!! You're in for a thrill ride!!!! I hope you have a great time at both events. ;) over a year ago
Alan Menken released that two new songs will be released to the live action BATB, but they're not using any of the songs off of the Broadway production, which really upsets me. I already don't like Emma as Belle, and now this? Ugh. Posted over a year ago

I heard that too, and I hate it! I love the Broadway version's extra songs! over a year ago

I know, right! "If I Can't Love Her" would of been an amazing piece, too. Sigh, I feel like this movie's gonna flop. over a year ago

I wish they didn't make a live action BATB in the first place. I think if they made it back then it would have had a more magical feeling, but I have a feeling they're going to make it too modern or whatever. over a year ago
I've been thinking about something weird lately; since Triton's wife died, and he was left with seven daughters, who takes the throne once he resigns/dies? Does the oldest daughter's husband take it? If the oldest daughter isn't married but another daughter is, would her husband take the throne? If Ariel's dad died before any of the other daughters got married, would Eric, a natural-born human become ruler? Could a daughter by herself just rule as a queen? Posted over a year ago

I think his oldest daughter would be queen, even if she is married or not. over a year ago

I guess Attina (the oldest sisters) will take the throne as Queen of Atlantica. FYI I found the comic in Disney wiki that she getting married: link over a year ago

Don't misunderstand though, I'm not complaining about Attina and Alana being oldest and second oldest now - the crown and tiara gives the in line for throne thing more sense. over a year ago
Things I am okay with: The Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise coming out between October-December.
Things I am not okay with: Star Wars merchandise taking over every nook and cranny of Disney stores all year long. Posted over a year ago

Well...Star Wars is now doing what Frozen did for three years-ish now. I'm thinking this is the new way Disney "merchandizes" their stuff: by sheer inundation. For a person who sincerely hated Frozen, I had to suck it up and pretend I didn't see anything. lol. over a year ago

I love Star Wars, I'm super excited for the new movie, and I'm glad Disney bought it and is actually promoting it so it doesn't bother me at all, I like it actually. Nightmare Before Christmas is a seasonal film, Star Wars isn't so I get why the Nightmare stuff isn't in stores all year long while the Star Wars ones are. I think it's mainly for the upcoming movie though but who knows. over a year ago

So it turns out there was supposed to be a live-action "The Little Mermaid" movie, but the director Sofia Coppola dropped out of it due to "creative differences." It says that Universal Pictures and Working Title are still trying to move on with the idea, but I honestly think the Disney 1989 version is the best, and I think the live-action version would be a flop. Sigh. If Hans Christian Andersen hadn't been so morose in his conclusions that everything needed to end in "death," then his stories might have been more beloved by whole generations of people. And yes, the live-action version of TLM with the ending where she dies and becomes a ghost for all time would be an expensive commercial flop. I, for one, wouldn't even go see it. over a year ago

I'm actually disappointed. I hate to be THAT person, but I'd be in heaven if I found an accurate and well-made Little Mermaid (HCA's fairy tale). I understand that movies can't ever be exactly like the original, and I'm not complaining. Yes, I've seen the anime one (I enjoyed it , too) but even that changed some of the story. I'm sorry if this comment comes across as complain-y. I know not everyone likes HCA's story. I just wanted to put one of my dream movie ideas out there. over a year ago
