I thought I should bring it to everyone's attention that this quote was not something that Captain Jack Sparrow said. It has been wrongly assigned to him.
The quote actually came from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (the book I think...).

Fun fact: at one point there was a website that sold a replica of Jack's Jar of Dirt for $150. It had the exact same jar dimensions, similar top to the screen used jar, sand, and a fake heart in it. Posted over a year ago
