First off, sorry for the title. Haha I didn't have a snazzy title, so I just made it original.

Now, I would like to point out... I actually liked this trailer! Most of you had probably seen me griping about the previous New Moon trailers saying as how they do not portray the books. (well, the first and second New Moon trailers didn't anyways)

But, I really liked this trailer. Of course I have to critique it, so there are positives and negatives, but overall, I'm a happy sailor... for now. :P

Enough of the introduction, onto the review!

I'm going to start off with the over all look of the trailer.

-The cinematography is beautiful! Even more so than New Moon! The contrast between cool tones and warm tones. Spectacular!

-I liked how they did the Summit Logo. I thought it looked "neat" as in clean. It was simple, but it looks nice and polished. I don't know if I'm making sense. lol

-I love that they are keeping the same themes throughout the trailers of each movie. They always have a shot of the landscape.

Now, to the footage! I'll start with positives first.

Positives:
-I liked the balance. In New Moon, we saw a trailer with almost all Jacob, which I thought was unfair since we didn't have a "Meet Bella Swan" or "Meet Edward Cullen". But in this one, it wasn't centered on one character. However, i'll comment later on the center-focus of this trailer...

-The meadow, I thought was beautiful. In Twilight, the meadow was lacking...to put it nicely. But, this meadow, was perfect.

-The make up, judging from this trailer, looked way better. Edward actually looks 17! The Bella wig... I don't find anything wrong with it. I've heard some complaints about it, but I don't really see the big deal.

Negatives:
-The trailer was focused on the "love triangle". I like how at the end of New Moon, Bella chooses Edward. The audience, who haven't read the books, will be wondering what's going on when they see this trailer. I think the main reason why they focused on the "love triangle" was to lure people in out of curiousty, or to "tease" since this is a "tease"er trailer. However, I hope that is not the center-focus of the movie. We all know Summit likes to pimp the "love triangle" as seen in New Moon, when there should NOT be one. The "love triangle" in the books didn't even happen til after Chapter 22. Hopefully, for the 2nd teaser and the final trailer, they will touch on everything such as the vampire army for the second teaser then maybe a little bit of everything on the third and final trailer :)

-Sorry, but the panning to Jacob shirtless? That was SO unecessary. This is again, completely transparent to what Summit is trying to do. What did that give to the trailer? NOTHING. They put that in there out of spite. The series is not about the shirtless guys Summit! No matter how much money you rake in. Completely unnecessary.

Now to the dialog:

For the mostpart, I thought the voiceovers were pretty good.

The lines were a little dramatic, but I think that's what Summit was trying to do here. They were going for a dramtic feel. However, I will say this. And this is going to be critical about Jacob's lines.

In the trailer, you see soft-spoken Jacob. But, as most of you know, he can be a jerk sometimes. Who isn't? I hope they portray that rough side to him and not just make him look like this sensitive guy.

Same thing with Edward. You see him a little angry in the books. I would like to see a little spark of anger with him. Also, in the books, he has some light moments. Alot actually. People just forget about them because of the movies. But, I hope Summit puts his light moments in there too. Give him some fluff!

Bella, they do a pretty good job with her. However, the script, there are inconsistencies, so I can't judge her yet. From the looks of it, they changed the script a little. I don't remember some of the lines from the trailer that were in the script.

And, since this is kind of a touchy subject, I'm going to post a paragraph about Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria:
-When they showed Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria, I have to say, I'm still bitter about Summit replacing Rachelle Lefevre. You can tell that it's a different person. However, the wig isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Well, not to me anyways. I can't judge her acting since she had no lines, but from the looks of it, the new Victoria isn't bad, but it's not Rachelle. We can't write off Bryce just yet :)

So, this is my review! Like, I said, I was overall pleased. this is probably the first time I am.

Comments would be lovely. I love hearing what you guys have to say. :)
