Be forward: Percy has a, um.... leave of absence, let's call it, in the first book, and isn't in it. But don't worry -- the new characters are great, and Percy does come back in book two. As far as I know, he will be in all the other books as well. It's totally worth it. This series is epically amazing. ;)

Well I Agree With Chbftw, He Takes A Leave of Absence For About, Half A Year. But... He Is Supposedly In The Rest of The Series, With The Only Definitive As SoN. We Have To Wait And See For Ourselves, Though, Won't We. And Even If Percy Jackson Isn't In The Rest of The Series, I'll Still Read Them, I'll Just Be More PI**ED
