"STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII - THE LAST JEDI" (2017) Review

Following the success of the Disney Studios' first hit STAR WARS film, "STAR WARS: EPISODE VII - THE FORCE AWAKENS", I had assumed that producer-director J.J. Abrams would helm the next chapter in the franchise's Sequel Trilogy. I was eventually surprised to learn that Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, hired writer-director Rian Johnson to both write and direct "EPISODE VIII".

My positive reaction to the news about Johnson being hired by Lucasfilm originated with my reaction to his 2012 film, "LOOPER". I found Johnson's 2012 film to...

Captain Smith: Gentlemen, as of this moment, all Imperials have been pushed away from Coruscant. We've done it. This planet is now ours!
Pilots: *Cheering*
Mary: *Walks over to Smith, and hugs him* I want you to have this. *Holding a box for the Captain* You're being promoted.
Captain Smith: *Opens the box, and sees his Major badge* Thank you.
Mary: Don't thank me, thank the General, but I would like to take you out to dinner. *Kisses Smith*

The song fades away as the other pilots cheer. Meanwhile on Chevrelium, things were not so pleasant.

General Kar: You have betrayed me for the last...

John, and Morris walked into the center of the village, where the cable car station was. Three Imperial Troop Transports stopped next to the station.

Stormtrooper 75: *Opens the back door*
Stormtrooper 62: *Pushes Barkley, Thomas, and Christianson out* Go. Into the cable car station.

Song: link

John & Morris: *Climbing a ladder to the roof of the cable car station*

They walked towards the edge, climbed over a fence, and waited for the cable car to move up.

Barkley: *With Thomas, and Christianson. Their hands are tied with rope as they are being moved to the cable car station by two...

I am a huge Star Wars fan, I've been a fan since I was 7 years old. I am what some would call an O.T. generation kid, but I also really loved the prequels and Jar Jar Binks as well, still can't figure out why some fan hate him so much, but this isn't about the prequels or Jar Jar, it's about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

As a "O.T." kid I loved this movie, all the small call backs to A New Hope were awesome and they were done right, they were not "ham-handed" and they did not feeling like fan service to me.

I fell in love with all the characters so quickly and that just made me care about them more and to me that is a sign of a great director and a great story teller. So, I say great job Gareth Edwards, great job.

I don't want to give any spoilers away, so I don't think there is anymore I can say without spoiling it. So, if you haven't seen Rogue One: A Story Wars Story yet........ what are you waiting for?

Alarm (Start at 1:14): link

John: *Slowly opens the door, and sees that no one is watching them* They're gone. Coast is clear. *Walks out of the room with the others* Lieutenant, get the rope.
Morris: Alright.

As he was getting the rope, the other five slowly looked around the hallway. Dead Imperials were everywhere.

John: *Walks down the spiral staircase*
Mary: *Following John*
Cartwright: *Pointing his blaster at Barkley, and Christianson*
Imperials: *Walking up the staircase* Back up the stairs!!
John: Get back. *Pushes the others away from the stairs, and leads them forward to the other...

Back at Mary's room.

Major Von Hapen: Goodnight Maria. *Kisses her hand* You are a very charming girl.
Mary: Thank you Major.
Major Von Hapen: We must get to know each other just a little bit more.
Mary: Yes we must. Goodnight. *Closes her door*

Song (Start at 0:58): link

Major Von Hapen: *Gets a sudden urge that something's not right*
Mary: *Locks her door*
Major Von Hapen: *Hears the lock, and rubs his chin with his hand, and walks down the corridor*

Major Von Hapen: *Walks pass the Tie Interceptor. It begins to snow again*...

As John left the Alpine Bar, another song was heard: link

John: *Turns right, and walks down the street*

As he walked away from the bar, the song began to fade away.

Stormtroopers: *Passing by in an IFT-D*
Officer 94: How's it going?
John: Fine, thank you. *Salutes two Stormtroopers*
Stormtroopers: *Return their salutes*
Astro Droid: *Beeping as it exits a house, moving towards the two stormtroopers*
John: *Sees the wood shed, and opens the door, walking inside*

Mary was waiting for him. As soon as she saw John, she began to hug him, and the two kiss.

John: Take your clothes off.
Mary: But I-
John: Don't...

You probably watch a lot of movies. We all do. Except for Amish people, but if you're Amish, you're not reading this. Every movie has a protagonist, but he/she is not necessarily always a hero (Deadpool, The Godfather, etc.). However, sometimes, characters who are supposedly heroes are not so heroic either. Of course, realizing this, I took it upon myself to figure out which "good" protagonist was the least good. After searching the realm of movies for many long years, I have come to believe that Luke Skywalker is the man I've been looking for. Here's why:

#1. His Reaction to Death

"STAR WARS: EPISODE II - ATTACK OF THE CLONES" (2002) Review

The fandom surrounding the 2002 movie, "STAR WARS: EPISODE II - ATTACK OF THE CLONES" has always struck me as somewhat a fickle affair. When the movie first hit the theaters over eleven years ago, many critics and film fans had declared the movie a major improvement over its predecessor, 1999's "STAR WARS: EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE". Some even went out of their way to declare it as the second best STAR WARS movie ever made. Another three to five years passed before the critics and fans' judgement went through a complete reversal....

Pain lanced through her.Feeling like the dance of a thousand cuts. Gasping she turned towards her brother's seat, to see if he was also feeling the same. Only to see to her horror, a pool of dark blood. Sending her returned force senses up through the keep, she quickly ran up the winding stairs in her silver fox form. Reaching her brother's family apartments in her human form, she eased the door delicately open. Only to be welcomed by a scene that made her burn and sick at the same time. Blood coated the walls, the bodies torn and strewn across the floor. Not even his grandson's newborn had...

"If you look out your window you can see Ireland." The stewardess said as she strolled the drink cart up the isle. Morgan peered from under her night eye mask to blink into focus the lush green squares that dotted the emerald isle. "Is this you're first time to Scottland dear?" The older woman asked in the seat next to her. She nodded. "This is going to be my first and last." The older woman paled. Morgan blushed sheepishly. "No not like that. I'm going to start new. Here. I have nothing left to go back for in America." The older woman shook her head.
"Well you may find it a hard place...

NOTES AND OBSERVATIONS of "STAR WARS: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi"

*I have always found the launching of shuttles rather different in the STAR WARS saga, in compare to other science-fiction sagas. The Imperial shuttles leave the starships like drops of water from a faucet.

*The commander of the Death Star II seemed to react with horror at the news of the Emperor’s impending arrival. Quite a contrast to his mild nervousness at...

This story takes place directly after the events of the amazing game Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. It is just a fan fiction and never really happened.

It had been not long after the Jedi exile, Meetra Surik, had battled and beaten the Sith lord Darth Traya, The Jedi exile's master. The Ebon hawk floated in space at this point. The exile named Meetra had wandered into the cockpit of the Ebon Hawk. There, flying the ship, was the scoundrel Atton Rand. “So... How'd it go?” asked Atton. “Kreia, or as she is now identified as, Darth Traya...

Hi guys, a couple of days ago, I watched the Rise of Skywalker which was the final chapter of the new Star Wars trilogy and it coincide with my younger brother's 29th birthday. Ready?

The Story

At least that the story is not predictable like the second one, and it is very straightforward too. I was also taken aback that Rey is a descendant of Emperor Palpatine and at least she did not follow into his path despite that she has nightmares of being on the dark side!
Rey also got her Happy Ending when she is a true jedi in her own right.

The Characters

Speaking of the characters themselves, I was...

General Rancor: I am very proud of all those men for their heroic actions. After we give them their medals, we're going to celebrate. *Climbs into a Metra with Major Colwin, and another Rebel*
Rebel Soldier: *Drives*

Kelly and his team finally reached the western side of Empyra. They were on top of a hill. Kelly was looking down at the area below them where the bank was located. Cowboy and Little Joe snuck into the village.

Cowboy: Can you see anythin' from where your standing?

On the planet of Feytal-after the first battle of Geonosis.

Ticara bowed low to the Keeper, the old man came forward and placed a loving kiss upon his only remaining heir. His grand-daughter." What brings our gracious king's newest passion to see an old man?" Sicar saw the disgust on her face as she rose up from her bow. " When?" It was a question all to often asked these days, one that he had no answer for as of yet. He looked out the window at the cherry tree that had grown so well in these 35 years. Under it the sad bundle that the Imprinted one had asked to bury in their garden. With only...

*Both the Trade Federation and Darth Sidious seemed surprised that Supreme Chancellor Valorum had dispatched Jedi Knights to act as mediators between the Trade Federation and Naboo. Apparently, this discovery had led Sidious to order a premature invasion of Naboo.

Because it's the last day of 2016, I've decided to dedicate an article to a special someone who meant a lot to me, and for everyone else: Carrie Fisher.
Like everyone else, I was pretty damn (Sorry about that.) shocked when I heard about Carrie Fisher's death. I was talking to my friend on Google+ when he informed about her death. I knew that she had a heart attack about a week before she died, but I didn't expect this.

Without any further a due, let's being!

Star Wars is my second favorite franchise of all time. Not only is it a big part of my childhood, but also a big part of my life.
