The reason I didn't pick #1 is because of the fact that it's basically the same thing that we have now. On the other hand, #2 is prettier, more unique, and kinda just better...

Hmmm...I think it shows everypony (including bonus princess, lol) the clearest, plus the logo. It suits the purpose well. #3 is too difficult to see. #4 is a great group shot, but AJ's face gets a bit cut off, and it probably works better as a larger image. #2 is also awesome and would be the next best icon, but I still think the first one works the most as the representative pic. And I do prefer the sky backdrop with pink base, over the current all-pink background.
