​As if our aching hearts can handle any more pain following One Direction\'s last ever On the Road Again tour show, Liam Payne\'s opened up about his split from girlfriend Sophia Smith and reckons he\'s \'absolutely devastated\' about it. SOPHIAM-BASED SADFACE FOREVER.

To add to the vision of those final tour hugs forever embedded in our brains, Big Payno\'s confirmed he\'s no longer with his gal pal and puts it down to \'being away from her\' for so long as he went off gallivanting round the globe with 1D. But, like, he\'s not doing that for a while now and they can get back together right?

Chatting to The Sun on Sunday, Liam said: "I\'m absolutely devastated to have split with Sophia. Being on the tour all this year and being away from her was so hard. We spent so much time apart. But in order to do right by somebody sometimes it\'s better not to do what your heart wants, but to do what\'s better for them."

OH CHRIST WE CAN\'T TAKE THIS. It\'s as if we weren\'t sceptical enough about all this \'love\' malarky.

In further news Payno revealed he\'s gonna use the boys\' little hiatus to focus on himself and \'figure out\' who he is. He added: "Right now I\'m looking forward to some alone time to figure out who I am and what I want to be."
