Legalized discrimination against gays in Iowa? 

Denial of jobs and housing? No, they should never be allowed to do that, as those things should only ever be decided on the basis of how qualified a person is for a job, or economically stable to purchase a home, not on anything else and it has nothing to do with religion.

Denial of religious services? If they mean marriage ceremonies, for example, then I think that's within the right of the religious institution. After all, there are a million churches, and not all of them are so judgmental, and we do have a separation of church and state as much to protect church from state as to protect state from church.

BUT - there should never be a constitutional ban in any state against gay marriage, as that would violate our church/state separation, as well as our national constitution, which clearly states that everyone deserves the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Not to mention the UDHR.
