A Clapton Page hookup?

Being two of my favorite rock/blues artists I was just wondering why these two great guitarists have never gotten together on the same stage or in the studio after their work with the Yardbirds?

They actually were together on stage, along with Jeff Beck (another member of the Yardbirds), in 1983. Eric and Jeff saved the song at the end since Jimmy was so messed up from heroin at this point that he played like shit.
