I am so glad that this episode was back to HIMYM average.

What I liked

• The gang hating Karen as much as some of us Motherheads do
• Karen breaking up with Ted right at the beginning of the episode
• The gang watching Robin's show in pajamas - Marshall wearing a night gown was hilarious and classic Marshall
• Barney wanting to know everything aboot Ted's break-up
• Barney's pajamasuit/sleeping cravat

What I didn't like

• Robin being Ted's back up wife - I don't know where this is going to lead. I know they only get hypothetically married when they're 40 but still... It just seems the writers leave a door open to them getting back together some day.
• The mute button - I so wanted to watch Robin's show

What I liked

- Barney's PJ suit & marshall's night gown
- Robin on her show doing crazy things whilw the tv is on mute
- The porch if robin/ted stayed together where robin won the game (marshall didnt like the idea of losing)
- Lily knowing what porn movie the scene was from
- barney kept saying he hadnt seen robins show
- all of barney's jokes about marshall's night gown

What I didn't like

- Robin being ted's backup wife
- KAREN KAREN KAREN

well they are really playing jump rope with the plots atm! one would have thought tedobin would kiss...

what i liked: (has pretty much already been said, but also..)
-the reaction to Karen breaking up with Ted, especially Marshall looking up and shouting "I knew you were listening!"
-the whole continuity, which wasn't just in this episode but throughout the whole of this season, but particularly in this one, the robot cookie jar in Marshlily's apartment and Marshall winning games by shouting the name of the game and slamming his cards down... I like that the writers don't forget the little details.
-marshall's creed CD
-ted as luke & marshall as chewbacca..

what i didn't like so much: (edit: i realised what i just wrote made little sense)
-ted. i just really disagree that you shouldn't care at all what your friends think of your bf/gf - for someone that spends that much time with friends as ted does, it should be fairly important to him if they hate her... i dunno, it seems a bit unlike ted to me, i think the porch test should be just as significant to him as it is to lily...

I agree with Gemmy what she said aboot Barney's mojo. He's sort of... well not himself in terms of hooking up with a random hot girl that knocks on his door or whatever. The whole 'tell me more aboot marriage' conversation was so not him.
I also agree with chehamstera on Ted and the Front Porch test.
As well shouldn't it be Ted who does a Front Porch test? He is the one who plans every detail in his life so he should have been more understanding...

I just noticed that the photo of the gang that Robin shows the audience is the same photo that Wendy took at the end of the 'intervention' episode, and there I thought there was something going on betweeen Barney and Robin in that scene but couldnt have been if they took the picture already and nothing has happened thus far..

I really liked this episode, I thought the whole front porch thing with old Lily, Marshall and Ted was so cute.

Especially loved Marshall and Barney bonding over the benifits of nightgowns, but totally agree that marrige conversation was ODD. It was rectified when they flew thogether though.

Yeah... The marriage conversation was NOT Barney... I think they put the backup wife thing in there just in case they're out of good plots... Oh! I know --- It's their backup wife... If you know what I mean.
