Nah I'll do whatever the majority wants. I like them, of course, but if the majority of people don't, I won't post them anymore. I don't want to piss alot of people off, but I don't know about negative feelings unless they're communicated. I'm getting mixed messages...I've gotten props for them and I've gotten a few negative comments.

Anyway, that's why I made the pick. :-] That way people can (anonymously, if they choose) tell me what they really think.

Like I have said a couple of times, a number of them I find really offensive, not because they bash a ship or character that I love, but because some of them include statements about wanting people to die, self-harm and calling people stupid.

I also think it is outrageously unfair that a couple of weeks ago a Hameron fan posted anti-Huddy fanart and people rioted, reporting her and her content, yet those fandom secrets contain exactly the same kind of bashing and no one seems that upset about it.

Like huddysmacked said, it isn't about being mean or picking in you mrshouse. Its just that you are the one posting the content, so we kinda have to direct our comments at you. For me, its about 1) being fair to all fans, and 2) me standing up for what I believe to be offensive. I can certainly take a joke and I love people sharing opinions. I guess my opinion is a large majority of those secrets have really disgusted me and the double-standard of people in this spot ripping a Hameron fan to peices for sharing negative views that are very similar in nature to the views in these secrets.

I don't mean to rant (well, I actually do), because I have just been rating the images low and not commenting because I think it is your right to post them if that is what you want to do. But it seems like maybe more people have been offended than we thought.

I find most of them funny. In my case, I like those that talk about the fandom.

Yes, some of them can be considered offensive, but if you actually see them pretty well you can realize that they're the minority. Some of them talk about how people feel about the characters & the show, & how they are connected with their own lifes. Other ones criticize the craziness that sometimes involves the fandom. I'm active in LJ communities, and some of those "Secrets" really are dead on xD.

And, I'm going to say this again, the situation that misanthrope86 pointed out was different. I ONLY complained about those fanarts that included Lisa Edelstein -not like her character-, Katie Jacobs & David Shore: real people, and THAT was the problem, not those like the protest one. I don't care so much if some people bash characters, they are fictional and everybody has different points of view about them & when I disagree I expose my own ideas with respect. But, I just can't tolerate when people bash real persons, & that was the case with that user and her fanart. I'm pretty sure everybody here agrees that bashing people that we don't even know is unacceptable.
And, please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen any "Secret" bashing actors or producers.

I think, I'm a really bad "thermometer" to measures the "level of offense" of them, because it's hard to me get upset for things like these, so let's wait what other fans have to say. =].

I personally don't see the difference between the Stop Huddy fan arts and these secrets.

Thats cool if you are more offended by bashing the actors than character ship bashing. But I personally think that bashing is bashing, no matter what it is about.

Well, actually I see it. IMO, bashing fictional persons is pretty different than real ones. As characters we saw them in a "omnipresent way", we know them, by their actions somehow all of us "jugde" them. And there's no harm because they don't exist.

On the other hand bashing people that, first of all, are real is totally different. The hate is related to a character that they play, because I'm pretty sure that none of us knows personally LE, HL, RSL, etc. So what they say is basically slander (I'm not sure if this is the accurate word, English's not my first language).

As I said, I'm active in the fandom in other places too, and I've seen too much hatred toward LE with Season 5, and her alleged influence -and mainly manipulation- on the development of this season, actually I think that was exactly what the person who made that fanarts wanted to display, may be I'm wrong. I have no idea how the TPTB works & I think nobody in the fandom knows either.
Ugh, I've even read some disgusting theories, from a kind of jewish conspiracy between LE, KJ & DS to an evil plan of LE to steal a married guy. Uf.

The girl who posted that fanart wanted to demonstrate she doesn't like House/Cuddy, which is fine & the one with the protest showed it (I didn't complain about this one), but, Lisa Edelstein herself has nothing to do with it because she just plays a role, & that's the problem when people apparently can't see the difference between reality & fiction.

And finally, I find any kind of bashing totally pointless. The discussion of our points of view with respect is always stimulating & find some mature debate in the fandom is always refreshing.

Oh I'm not taking the comments personally, missy. :-] You certainly have the right to declare them distasteful (or however you would like to phrase that). I know that by posting them I am ultimately taking responsibility for their content, and I'm OK with that. Perhaps I'll just cut it down to only posting ones that are meaningful in some way (like maybe link) or just not post them at all. Part of the purpose of link was to gauge how people felt about the content, but apparently either some people lied or some people have changed their minds. Like I said before, I don't want buttloads of people pissed off about this, so if it turns out that they're more trouble than they're worth, I'll just discontinue posting them.
