I have decided to write this article because I've noticed that a lot of people have doubts about the Harry Potter movies.

First of all, let me say that one of my biggest pet peeves is when people call themselves "major Harry Potter fans" but have never read the books. I do not think that you can be a Harry Potter fan just by watching the movies, and I'm pretty sure anyone who has read the books will agree with me on this.

Having said that though, the other day one of my friends asked me:
"Why were the Harry Potter movies made?"
She asked this question because she felt like the movies "did not live up" to the book, or that they "weren't as good".
My answer to this would definitely be: You are Right. The movies are not as good as the books, I agree. But my problem is that, I think, many people are underestimating the movies.

The books have a LOT of details in them, not to metion they are fantasy books. They are stories with dragons, giants, wizars, magic, castles, etc. Anything with just ONE of these detailes would be pretty hard to turn into a movie.

People's main point when arguing against the movies is: 'They leave so much stuff out'.
Of course they do! These are 2 hour long movies versus 600 pages of book. Imagine how hard it would be to turn these books into movies!
They can definitely NOT include as many things as we would like them to. They just need to include plot, and naturally the sub-plots don't usually make it in.

My whole point with this is: To really enjoy a Harry Potter movie it is essential to go into the movie theatre with a different mind set. You have to go in, KNOWING that this will not be 100% exactly like the book. It will be different, things will be cut out, and maybe your favorite part won't be included.
It is normal that as you go out of the theatre you might be thinking: "Aww I wish they included the part with __________". But once we get pass the disappointment of that, is when we can really enjoy the films.

Once people accept these facts, I think we will be able to appreciate the movies much more. Because, when thinking about it, I realize that the things that are created with the movie are pretty amazing.

Clearly they will never be as good as the books, which is why there is not even a point in comparing them. (I know it's hard not to, but I wish it didn't happen)
As for the movies themselves, I think they are as good as they can be, and I couldn't really ask for much more!

It is known for a fact that accidental magic often happens when a (young) witch or a wizard is really angry, really scared, or really confused. Not to mention in a state of a high stress which can involve all of those emotions.
And then something magical happens, usually something horrible, to the person or thing that is causing the emotions on the witch/wizard.

The books make a big deal about accidental magic, and how young children have little to no control over their magic and thus do a lot of accidental magic.
But obviously they're doing something about it, as the magical society is still...

Chapter 7

Just over a week passed at Hogwarts, Students got pulled back into subjects, teachers piled on homework and Quidditch practises were started. Draco and Hermione continued to get on with all of their jobs as Heads while managing not to fight too much. That said they did act differently, they tried to avoid each other the best they could. Never looking the other directly in the eye, both remembered clearly what had happened that second night but it was never mentioned. After that Hermione made sure she remembered to put a silencing charm on her door at night so if she did scream she...

Ways to piss off Hermonie!
1. Say that the smarter you are, the quicker you die.

2. Tie her to a chair and tell her she can't get up until she finds the last number in pi. (3.14...................)

3.Lock her in a room that has a gun with one bullet and repetitively plays Hillary Duff soundtracks

4. Force her to read a German dictionary and write a 10 page book report on it.

5. Throw water balloons at her and tell her you wanted to know if she would melt.

6. Stick her in the Jar with Rita Skeeter.

7. Force her to sing, "The Real Slim Shady."

8. Follow her to the library and everytime she opens a book,...

The whole world is a fan of Harry potter. The chief reason for this is the book is concerned all about magic. And children love magic. I was suggested to join the fan club by one of my friends. And now I really love it. This is the first time I have got a chance to express my views about the glorious book, HARRY POTTER. I have been one of the greatest fans of Harry potter since first book was published. I had a liking for books when compared to the movies. But my views had been changed sice I saw the movie of HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHERS STONE. I am glad I joined the club and a special thanks to my friend who suggested me to do so!!!!!!!!!!!

I love HARRY POTTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

19. Ask him if the "anvil-sized hints" ever hit him on the head, which is really what caused the scar.
18. "So... first you were the Boy Who Lived.. then you were a nutcase... now you're The Chosen One. Why don't they just add it together so that you're the "Chosen Nutcase Who Lived?"
17. Offer him stolen silver from Sirius Black's house.
