There is, in the world, a girl called Z-----. More commonly known on this website as Best, that is the name that shall be used for this anti story.
Now, when best was 11 years old, she had read all the Harry Potter books, and loved them. I’m talking about waiting for her Hogwarts acceptance letter to come and carving wands. She truly loved the series. In 2009, she went to a wedding. Her aunt there had read the Harry Potter books, except for the last one. She also had a cousin there, who was a huge fan of Twilight. Now, at that time, best hadn’t read Twilight. Her aunt was also a huge fan of Twilight, and at dinner, they started asking questions like ‘Who do you think Bella should have chosen?’ Best was listening with interest. She found out it was a teenage love story. How stupid, thought Best, I can’t believe they actually like that over Harry Potter.
This wedding, however, started her thoughts on Twilight. In grade 6, she read the Twilight books. She had found them in the library while looking for Order of the Phoenix (for the 7-8 time). She thought, Well, I can give it a chance, right? So Best read the books. She loved them, but she never thought of comparing them to HP. Luckily for her, she had friends at school who were CRAZY obsessed with Twilight. Like, not a day passed when this friend, if she needs a name L, talked about Jacob.
Best had not seen the Twilight movies, because she didn’t have them and she didn’t like Twilight enough to buy the movies. However her cousin lent her the movie. Best thought she was going to watch it, but kept putting it off. So L and Best and a few other friends decided to go see New Moon. Best wanted to see the movie, but then L moved and the plans got cancelled. But before L left they talked of Twilight.
L and her other friends talked about the boys in Twilight, and soon every girl in her grade 6 class was on one subject. Well, Best got extremely bored. She decided to re read Twilight, but she couldn’t find it. So she read Harry Potter. And her eyes were opened. She still liked Twilight, mind you, but she realized it was second best and would ALWAYS be second best.
Her friends still claimed twilight was the best book in the world. They even said Stephanie Meyer was very sweet. Best decided to leave them rambling about Jacob and Edwierd. She went back to her old friends, who were not Potter fans – only one was. Her name was H. So Best and H talked about HP forever, until H, too, had to move.
Then, Best made a new friend, call her Sue. Sue was a huge fan of the Percy Jackson books, and then Best was too. However, Twilight had taught Best a very important lesson: NOTHING can beat Harry Potter. So Best was a Jackson fan, and still is. Compared to these two series, Twilight seemed like rubbish to Best – and not even well written rubbish. She persuaded her BBF, name S, to read HP and the Philosophers Stone. When she did, S loved it.
All her Twilight craze was immediately forgotten at the joyous prospect of finally being returned to the right state of mind and having an HP fan to discuss it with. Best felt more confident now, thanks to Hermione and S, so she convinced Sue to read the books as well. Sue read and loved them, and in no way could Best have felt happier, unless her Hogwarts letter came. However, the only drawback was Sue and S had only read Philosophers Stone and not any of the other books. But still... so continuing on, Best realized that another of her friends, call her X, was a Potter fan. However she was disappointed. Because none of the other fans she had made where that into it.
So Best started to hate Twilight. It began slowly than spread faster and faster. She started to compare Harry Potter to Twilight, and googled ‘Stephanie Meyer vs JK Rowling,’ and she found this: 1000 reasons why HP is better than Twilight. So she immediately made an account, and read to about pg 100. There, she just skipped to the last page. The Anti’s were nice, and Best made a whole dozen more friends. She felt very relieved as they all also thought HP was the best book ever. Some of them were also PJ fans, and they all thought the same way.
Well, you should know what happened next!
Sorry, I know that was a crazy weird story in one year – grade 6.

Logical reasons...
why Harry Potter v.s Twilight

*WARNING SPOILERS*

Hi! I'm Cinnominbubble and I have noticed the war between fandoms have been going on for a while with no clear outcome. There is a reason to this-We are stubborn. Twihards want to stick up for Stephanie Meyer, whilst Potterheads want to do the same for J. K. Rowling. But, I have noticed something. Many of our reasonings aren't exactly logical. I mean, not to be offensive, some of our strongest points are downright idiotic!(from both sides) I'd like to come up with some smarter points to help people see our side of the story, whatever...

Harry Potter beats Twilight. Of course. But I really don't like it when HP fans use opinion-ated "facts" when saying WHY Harry Potter is the better movie series. So, I, who am a major Potterhead, put together 7 true, solid, hard, and undeniable facts about certain aspects of the two movie series to prove why Harry Potter is the ultimate series.
**I will only be discussing the movies**

1) Soundtrack

Listen to this wonderful and memorable theme song. As you may have guessed, the theme song belogs to Harry Potter : link

It's pretty, but it doesn't find a special place in...

Everyone knows Rowling and Meyer's stance on fanfiction and the fact both writers have given a thumbs up of sorts. However, there is something I don't think either one of them would of approve of and it involves those Reading the Books a lot of people are supposedly writing. I say supposedly writing because copying from another persons work is not writing unless you are quoting under fair use. And boy... every single Reading the Books I've come across is not in fair use and constitutes plagiarism. I know how to write one that doesn't constitute plagiarism, but I'll save that until the end.

As you can tell from my username, I am a huge Harry Potter fan. However, I wasn’t always. I used to be a Twihard (a twilight obsessed fan-girl). In fact I was one during the early stages of puberty, which is the age where most Twitards fall into the ‘romantic’ trap.

Here’s my story about how I went from ‘Twihard’ to ‘Indifferent’ to ‘Potterhead’:

I first read Twilight as a recommendation from a fellow member of the Teen Advisory Board of my library. I finished that book quickly and moved onto the next. The library didn’t have Eclipse so I read it ‘Twilight, New Moon, Breaking...

I don't want to hear about Harry Potter or any other book right now. I'm not setting this up for a debate about which is better. I just want to know seriously and honestly why you Twilight fans enjoy reading Twilight. I want to see an actual reason that Twilight is a good book.
If you don't like Twilight, I don't want to hear you saying anything bad about it. I just want to know why people like it. Because all the debate's I've seen have no actual reasons. They have HP fans and Twihards going on about which book is better, but not why they like it.
I do actually want respectful debate though. I want to discuss the reasons you give, but nicely.
If you can't be respectful of each other's opinions then just don't comment.
And I'm not trying to hate on Twilight, but if I disagree with you I will debate with you.
I don't know if there are other debate's about this, so I'm sorry if there are, but I didn't look.
I'm just rambling now so let's get onto it!

I thought of a very wonderful quote. I'm not sure where it came from. I might have read it somewhere before. Maybe it is many quotes brought together. Maybe it is entirely of my own creation. I don't know. Anyways, I find it to be very beautiful and thought-provoking...

"Twilight is a children's book poorly disguised as great literature. Harry Potter is great literature poorly disguised as a children's book."

I doubt I wrote it. I'm not capable of coming up with something so witty and beautiful as that.

Allow me to explain what it means. It means that Twilight makes people think it is great literature...

Because My Taste In Books Is Just That Awesome

It's easy to point out the negatives in the things we don't like. Likewise, it's also easy to point out the positives in those things which we love. Difficult, it is, to accept the positives in that which we hate, and the negatives in that which we enjoy. Today, I would like to point out to you solely the positives. And it's a good thing I like both things that I intend to praise because otherwise I might find this a difficult endevour to pursue.

In short, I'm gonna tell you what's good about both HP and Twi. These might seem a bit repetitive to...
