We've all seen the Fanpop Spotlight tabs. That little display area on the homepage that let us know about the latest celebrity gossip, new television episodes, and upcoming movies. But ever since joining Fanpop, i've always wondered why the Spotlight is just limiting itself to popular visual media. Why should television, movies, and actors just get noticed. Congratz, you have oficially stumbled upon my idea for more Spotlight Tags!

Music - Celebrities
Who just released a new single or won at the Music Awards? Who is starring in an upcoming movie? What's something scandalous a celebrity did at the club last might? Many could argue that the "Hot Topics" tab could pretty much cover all of this. But for those of us who are possibly-maybe-slightly OCD, it's another way to keep everything organized. The downside is that it would take more room, though.

Books
There's no way to describe how amazing it would be to have this tab. (To me at least^^) We could learn what book is being made into a movie, and what the top bestseller is! Not to mention when the newest book in a series is coming out. If that doesn't sound great, then I don't know what does!

Around The World
What better way to show Fanpop diversity than showing what's going on around the world. Maybe they could feature different countries or Holidays and events that are going on then! What discoveries were made lately and where?

Blast From The Past
Not really something important, but it would be something fun to feature. Famous movies from the past -Grease, The Goonies. What trends were popular back then and now coming back into style?

Dear fellow fanpoppers,

fanpop is not pro-choice concerning medals.

Many of you will agree with me when I say that there are users among us who are a bit too motivated when it comes to collecting medals.
But few of us know that medals also follow us.

Fact is that these medals need us, they are longing for us as much as many of us are longing for them. The medal whore can not live without the medals and medals can not live without us. Probably they do even need us more then we need them and the common medal whore thinks she did a great job catching a medal when in reality the medal whore is the...

Question 7..Where can I find the FAQs?
Question 7..Where can I find the FAQs?
Basically this will be a collection of all the picks asking "HOW DO I- insert basic function here ?" (usually with the options IDK and PLZ tell me in commentz) and my short answer to these inquiries. Now that we have the new answers feature they are usually posted as an answer request but still repeated endlessly.
I usually report these kind of picks/answers and they get deleted as they are effectively spam. The drawback is: all information users leave in the comments is lost.

link seems to only be used by a limited number of fans and though I use it frequently I hate how all information is...

Dictionaries are a handy tool.
Dictionaries are a handy tool.
One thing that's becoming more and more prominent as time goes on, is that people online don't feel the need to use good grammar and spelling. Now, despite the fact that when on IM or whatevs, it's really fine to use all of these little abbreviations like "jk" "lol" "atm" etc. etc. etc. Before I get any farther into this uncontrolled rant, let me just say that I do use some internet slang. Most of this, however, are words that I make up. So, whatevs, deelie, yuppers, wazhappenin, etc. etc. etc. I'm not one to use mainstream slang other than "lol" because there is NO replacement for LOL. No,...

Ok, now I know that there are other articles out there about keeping Fanpop clean in terms of language and being appropriate but it is obviously not enough seeing as people continue to ignore it.

I am not by any means trying to be rude or bossy. I am not your mother. My goal in writing this is hopefully a common one among Fanpop users, to make Fanpop a joyful place for all users.

Topic 1: Language
I myself am very guilty of inappropriate language on Fanpop. I have said some things where if I think twice was not a good idea. I understand that some people say things out of habit and can do it without...

... or someone's way to scream at somebody.

Today's Fanpop has more people mean and sarcastic then others. I'm not against it, but I don't have to be.

For those "yelled" at constantly, that means you're doing something WRONG! And it only leads to disaster. What might you do wrong?
• Spamming
• Spelling names wrong
• Using incorrect grammar
• Posting miscategorized pictures, picks, questions(answers), etc. to a spot
• Hating on the person's spot
• Impersonating a celebrity
• Making a hate spot

If you do any of those things, you WILL be yelled at or sarcastically talked to. And don't be...
