Here is an article I wrote expressing my opinions on the 3D animated Disney Princesses and how they are in their featured films of Tangled, Brave, Frozen, and Moana. Since Raya and the Last Dragon is coming out on Saturday, I'll try to do an article on her too to see if she's another one of our favorite badass heroines? Or just a damsel in distress waiting to be saved. But anyway, let's get down to brass tacks, shall we?

5. Rapunzel

When I was little and the first trailer for Tangled was advertising showing another badass heroine who can fight and somewhat heal people's wounds and injuries with her magical hair. But either way, Rapunzel is frequently the MOST badass heroic Disney leading I have ever seen before! She's always willing to take charge and bust straight into action where there's adventures and fun still around the corner. Because of her strong grit and willpower to do what's right and what isn't, I wouldn't even consider her to be a damsel in distress 'cause she saved Eugene's ass multiple times and had even brought him back to life with her tears using a little of her healing magic. And also to come to think of it, she's even more heroic and badass in the television series because this woman is always kicking butt and is not needing any prince charming or knight in shining armor to come to her aid every once in awhile. We should also give her and Cassandra points too for defeating Zahn Tiri and saving all of Corona from her as well. In my opinion, Rapunzel should have been the first Disney Princess to represent absolute female empowerment and not being the typical passive female character who saves the male lead with a true love's kiss.

4. Merida

Ever since I was a little girl, Merida has been my second MOST favorite Disney Princess after Rapunzel and I don't really care about her not having a love interest because that shouldn't be the main focus of a female lead and their image movie. Like being strong and independent doesn't actually mean you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend. Feminists! A strong independent woman or man is really a person who has a positive attitude and is always ready to be there for his or her friends & family when they're in a great big pinch. But anyways, about Merida, I really, really, really admire her tomboyish personality and messy red curly hairstyle with her awesome bow & arrow and also the fact that she can wield and use a sword to fight is pretty extreme and heroically badass too! Disney might as well have to make her the second Mulan who actually, just like the first Mulan and Rapunzel, fights for her own hand and doesn't abide by anyone's rules or regulations. Other than that, Merida is even another badass heroine who isn't a damsel in distress and does not expect all of her problems to be solved by a big strong man. Although for the majority of Brave, she isn't really crying out for help and is not being a passive female protagonist like Aurora and Snow White. Take some notes on that, you damsels in distress!

3. Moana

Even though she isn't really a princess, she still is one of my MOST favorite Disney Princesses who has the power to control the ocean and water to help her sail across if she doesn't have an oar or a boat to keep in her sight. One of the most awesomest things that I like about her is that her eyes are not being set on a hot and cute guy, but the ocean is the main thing about her that she focuses on. My girl, Moana, is definitely a badass heroic character and a rather tough ass heroine too. She clearly brought Tahiti back to her normal good side and saved the her whole island and the entire world by restoring the heart to the ocean too. I would say that she, like Mulan and Rapunzel, literally rescued her land from an imminent threat and in return was thoughtfully honored for doing the right thing she thought she could or couldn't do. So to top it all off, Moana doesn't seem to have any damsel in distress moments in her film nor was ever waiting or asked to be saved by a guy. Moana is absolutely an excellent female role model for everyone in my opinion.

2. Elsa

To those of you who are insanely real Elsa groupies and lovers of her because she has magical powers and can make stuff out of snow and free things using ice, I'm gonna tell you right now that I do not like Elsa at all and I somehow find her completely annoying for some reason, you know? I mean, don't get me wrong though. I don't hate the girl, I just don't like her that much and that is really okay because this is just my opinion and I'm allowed to express how I feel about a character I don't like. The reason why I don't like Elsa or even consider her that much heroic is because she's too damn overrated by fans because of what she has and what her sister, Anna dosen't have. I mean, people intentionally like to consider her the smartest and better Disney Queen because of the stupid "You can't marry a man you just met." quote. Like com on now, you idiots! Elsa clearly has some flaws and did makes mistakes of freezing her and her sister's homeland into ice and essentially did not do anything to try and unfreeze the eternal winter she created on purpose. She even has some damsel in distress moments in at least the first and second movies of Frozen and does do anything that cool to save herself. The only time where Elsa was really badass and a little bit heroic was when she got rid of the angry fire with her magic and eventually stopped the dangerous flood from hitting Arendelle with her ice power. Frozen II was pretty much of Elsa becoming more and more determined and brave, but I feel like she had to be rescued again the second time at the end by Anna and so on. So without further ado, Elsa is my LEAST favorite Disney Queen and I'm not really a big fan of her nor her powers. But hey, that's just my opinion, Elsa fans, and I'm allowed to express it anyway I want to.

1. Anna

And last but not least, my hero and role model, Anna. She is by far the most underrated Disney Princesses after Merida and Mulan. What really annoys me about this is that she doesn't ever get the amount of credit she deserves for all the heroic things she has done in both movies and she never gets recognition from anyone, including those who are fans Frozen. Here are some of the reasons why I believe that Anna should be a more excellent and improved strong female character for Frozen groupies to look up to: 1. She has been through the most pain and was able to get back up on her own two feet. 2. She had never gave up on the people of Arendelle and her friends & family. 3. She was always there for Elsa when she needed her or not. 4. She's always willing to throw herself into dangerous situations and make sacrifices for everyone, not just Elsa. In my opinion, Anna is the best Disney Queen in the whole universe of Frozen and Disney. She was basically heroic and badass in the first and second films because she went from the naive girl who wanted true love to a strong independent woman whom is able to stand alone by herself without being in the shadow of her older sister and everyone else. Anna also does know how to handle business and do it on her own. Although, Kristoff volunteered to take care of Hans for her, but Anna put a stop to it herself and punched Mr. Perfect right in his ugly face! Let's not forget that she even sacrificed herself for her sister and saved her sorry ass from Hans when he was about to strike her mercilessly with a sword. But, Anna's moments of being heroic and badass don't end here just yet. In Frozen II, she has matured a lot and is no longer that prince-crazed princess looking for love anymore. But, what really hasn't changed about her is that she constantly is in the need for company and wanting to work together as a team with the gang until at some point towards the end, she learns that she needs to do the right thing and do it independently solo without worrying about the rest of the crew and also that the only person who can help her is herself and her only. No one else. Two of the MOST heroic and badass deeds Anna has done in the second is use a sword to slice and dice and cut and fight her way through the bushes, in which we should mark her as the third Mulan after Merida, and heroically ordered the Earth Giants to destroy the dam and free the forest from the angered spirits. And let's also not forget that she pushed herself out of the cave on her own and successfully became the new Queen of Arendelle to end the second film off with. So if there's anything we have to say for ourselves, it is that Anna is an awesome leader, a heroic and badass fighter, a strong independent Queen to her sister and her people. Like her sister and all the other 3D Animated Disney Princesses, she is definitely isn't a damsel in distress or a slighty passive-aggressive characters waiting for her prince to save her butt. To finish off this list, I had ranked Anna higher to be #1 because nobody ever notices and are always idolizing Elsa for her dumb powers and stupid dresses that she wears all the time. Anna is a true hero and savior of Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, and the citizens of Arendelle. She is my MOST favorite character in Frozen and I always take her side on everything, including the times where she puts herself in danger to protect those who can't protect themselves. So therefore in my opinion, Anna is the ultimate Queen and hero of her homeland and that's it, ladies and gentlemen and Elsa lovers!

Hello All! Due to my life interfering with my time these days, I took a hiatus from article writing. I also took a hiatus, because KataraLover and Cruella stepped into the void, and took on the “these are horrible characters argument” in a set of ongoing video discussions that can be found on the video links page of The Disney Princess Club. (My hat goes off to them, as they were dispelling the myths and stigmas surrounding certain unbeloved characters). Great work, guys!!!
Since this is the last article on the Vices of the Disney Princesses, I want to at least say...

I have been inspired by seeing articles that defend Ariel on Fanpop so I thought I would write my own.

Ariel also gets a lot of flack and it drives me insane! People say Ariel is anti-feminist because she gives up her voice to be with Eric. She always wanted to be human. At the beginning of the film she was collecting artifacts of the human world. Do you think she was collecting artifacts because of Eric? The song Part of Your World, she wasn't even singing about Eric. Her fascination with humans is what lead her to become interested in Eric. If it wasn't her fascination with humans, she wouldn't...

I have exams in a couple of weeks and I've been shirking my studies long enough but I thought I'd just put out an article as a last hurrah. Basically this how the princesses would get along as a group. I once did top 20 DP friendship pairs, you're encouraged to go search for it :) But no list format here, this a Quickie Article. No pictures and not really structured, like the one I did for what I dislike about each princess. This time however Merida, Anna and Elsa will be included.

Snow White
She'd be the ring leader of the group in my opinion. She possesses leadership qualities without being...

It's been a while since I last wrote an article so I decided to do an article about which princesses I can relate to the most, hope you'll like this article

13. Merida

Like her I can lose my temper and get angry sometimes and I prefer being single (but unlike her I wouldn't mind being in a relationship with someone), but besides that we're not similar at all, I'm more girly than her

12. Tiana

I putted Tiana higher than Merida because we both love cooking and we both have a strong relationship with our mothers, but besides that we aren't that similar, I'm less hard working and more fun...

Tell me if I'm not the only one crying here,am I?
Okay, before we get into to this,I want to say that yeah,I did say that the movie could've been better if Elsa had more screen time, but over-time opinions have changed. So,let's get into it shall we:
Now,I can understand this,Elsa is a wonderful character, but there are couple reasons why the scenes she had are what had to be.

The first is the development in the story.I don't know if using GCI allowed faster development time than hand drawn films, but this film had barely two years of proper development(Tangled had six, although much of it was to get the CGI good as it is),and even later before...
