Here is an article I wrote expressing my opinions on the 3D animated Disney Princesses and how they are in their featured films of Tangled, Brave, Frozen, and Moana. Since Raya and the Last Dragon is coming out on Saturday, I'll try to do an article on her too to see if she's another one of our favorite badass heroines? Or just a damsel in distress waiting to be saved. But anyway, let's get down to brass tacks, shall we?

5. Rapunzel

When I was little and the first trailer for Tangled was advertising showing another badass heroine who can fight and somewhat heal people's wounds and injuries with her magical hair. But either way, Rapunzel is frequently the MOST badass heroic Disney leading I have ever seen before! She's always willing to take charge and bust straight into action where there's adventures and fun still around the corner. Because of her strong grit and willpower to do what's right and what isn't, I wouldn't even consider her to be a damsel in distress 'cause she saved Eugene's ass multiple times and had even brought him back to life with her tears using a little of her healing magic. And also to come to think of it, she's even more heroic and badass in the television series because this woman is always kicking butt and is not needing any prince charming or knight in shining armor to come to her aid every once in awhile. We should also give her and Cassandra points too for defeating Zahn Tiri and saving all of Corona from her as well. In my opinion, Rapunzel should have been the first Disney Princess to represent absolute female empowerment and not being the typical passive female character who saves the male lead with a true love's kiss.

4. Merida

Ever since I was a little girl, Merida has been my second MOST favorite Disney Princess after Rapunzel and I don't really care about her not having a love interest because that shouldn't be the main focus of a female lead and their image movie. Like being strong and independent doesn't actually mean you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend. Feminists! A strong independent woman or man is really a person who has a positive attitude and is always ready to be there for his or her friends & family when they're in a great big pinch. But anyways, about Merida, I really, really, really admire her tomboyish personality and messy red curly hairstyle with her awesome bow & arrow and also the fact that she can wield and use a sword to fight is pretty extreme and heroically badass too! Disney might as well have to make her the second Mulan who actually, just like the first Mulan and Rapunzel, fights for her own hand and doesn't abide by anyone's rules or regulations. Other than that, Merida is even another badass heroine who isn't a damsel in distress and does not expect all of her problems to be solved by a big strong man. Although for the majority of Brave, she isn't really crying out for help and is not being a passive female protagonist like Aurora and Snow White. Take some notes on that, you damsels in distress!

3. Moana

Even though she isn't really a princess, she still is one of my MOST favorite Disney Princesses who has the power to control the ocean and water to help her sail across if she doesn't have an oar or a boat to keep in her sight. One of the most awesomest things that I like about her is that her eyes are not being set on a hot and cute guy, but the ocean is the main thing about her that she focuses on. My girl, Moana, is definitely a badass heroic character and a rather tough ass heroine too. She clearly brought Tahiti back to her normal good side and saved the her whole island and the entire world by restoring the heart to the ocean too. I would say that she, like Mulan and Rapunzel, literally rescued her land from an imminent threat and in return was thoughtfully honored for doing the right thing she thought she could or couldn't do. So to top it all off, Moana doesn't seem to have any damsel in distress moments in her film nor was ever waiting or asked to be saved by a guy. Moana is absolutely an excellent female role model for everyone in my opinion.

2. Elsa

To those of you who are insanely real Elsa groupies and lovers of her because she has magical powers and can make stuff out of snow and free things using ice, I'm gonna tell you right now that I do not like Elsa at all and I somehow find her completely annoying for some reason, you know? I mean, don't get me wrong though. I don't hate the girl, I just don't like her that much and that is really okay because this is just my opinion and I'm allowed to express how I feel about a character I don't like. The reason why I don't like Elsa or even consider her that much heroic is because she's too damn overrated by fans because of what she has and what her sister, Anna dosen't have. I mean, people intentionally like to consider her the smartest and better Disney Queen because of the stupid "You can't marry a man you just met." quote. Like com on now, you idiots! Elsa clearly has some flaws and did makes mistakes of freezing her and her sister's homeland into ice and essentially did not do anything to try and unfreeze the eternal winter she created on purpose. She even has some damsel in distress moments in at least the first and second movies of Frozen and does do anything that cool to save herself. The only time where Elsa was really badass and a little bit heroic was when she got rid of the angry fire with her magic and eventually stopped the dangerous flood from hitting Arendelle with her ice power. Frozen II was pretty much of Elsa becoming more and more determined and brave, but I feel like she had to be rescued again the second time at the end by Anna and so on. So without further ado, Elsa is my LEAST favorite Disney Queen and I'm not really a big fan of her nor her powers. But hey, that's just my opinion, Elsa fans, and I'm allowed to express it anyway I want to.

1. Anna

And last but not least, my hero and role model, Anna. She is by far the most underrated Disney Princesses after Merida and Mulan. What really annoys me about this is that she doesn't ever get the amount of credit she deserves for all the heroic things she has done in both movies and she never gets recognition from anyone, including those who are fans Frozen. Here are some of the reasons why I believe that Anna should be a more excellent and improved strong female character for Frozen groupies to look up to: 1. She has been through the most pain and was able to get back up on her own two feet. 2. She had never gave up on the people of Arendelle and her friends & family. 3. She was always there for Elsa when she needed her or not. 4. She's always willing to throw herself into dangerous situations and make sacrifices for everyone, not just Elsa. In my opinion, Anna is the best Disney Queen in the whole universe of Frozen and Disney. She was basically heroic and badass in the first and second films because she went from the naive girl who wanted true love to a strong independent woman whom is able to stand alone by herself without being in the shadow of her older sister and everyone else. Anna also does know how to handle business and do it on her own. Although, Kristoff volunteered to take care of Hans for her, but Anna put a stop to it herself and punched Mr. Perfect right in his ugly face! Let's not forget that she even sacrificed herself for her sister and saved her sorry ass from Hans when he was about to strike her mercilessly with a sword. But, Anna's moments of being heroic and badass don't end here just yet. In Frozen II, she has matured a lot and is no longer that prince-crazed princess looking for love anymore. But, what really hasn't changed about her is that she constantly is in the need for company and wanting to work together as a team with the gang until at some point towards the end, she learns that she needs to do the right thing and do it independently solo without worrying about the rest of the crew and also that the only person who can help her is herself and her only. No one else. Two of the MOST heroic and badass deeds Anna has done in the second is use a sword to slice and dice and cut and fight her way through the bushes, in which we should mark her as the third Mulan after Merida, and heroically ordered the Earth Giants to destroy the dam and free the forest from the angered spirits. And let's also not forget that she pushed herself out of the cave on her own and successfully became the new Queen of Arendelle to end the second film off with. So if there's anything we have to say for ourselves, it is that Anna is an awesome leader, a heroic and badass fighter, a strong independent Queen to her sister and her people. Like her sister and all the other 3D Animated Disney Princesses, she is definitely isn't a damsel in distress or a slighty passive-aggressive characters waiting for her prince to save her butt. To finish off this list, I had ranked Anna higher to be #1 because nobody ever notices and are always idolizing Elsa for her dumb powers and stupid dresses that she wears all the time. Anna is a true hero and savior of Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, and the citizens of Arendelle. She is my MOST favorite character in Frozen and I always take her side on everything, including the times where she puts herself in danger to protect those who can't protect themselves. So therefore in my opinion, Anna is the ultimate Queen and hero of her homeland and that's it, ladies and gentlemen and Elsa lovers!

People tend to get caught up in preconceived notions of a character based on their appearance or other surface level factors.

A prime example of this would be Snow White, people see her soft petite features, hear her high pitched voice and listen to her sing about a finding love, and they automatically assume she’s a docile weak passive shy individual. While Snow White is definitely a bit calmer and more carefree, she’s far from the most passive princess. After surviving a deadly encounter and knowing her life is still in danger, she gets picks her herself up rather quickly. Once she finds...

Here is a list of my best DP role models. The most important thing to note here is that this is very much a subjective, rather than objective, list. Rather than trying to rank the princesses according to who I think is the best role model for children or other people in general, the ranking is purely according to how they serve me personally as role models.

11. Aurora

Perhaps not surprisingly, Aurora lands herself at the bottom of this list. She is gentle and kind, which are definitely qualities I appreciate, however she has little else to offer in terms of being a role model. Let's say...

11. Cinderella

This was one of the easiest. Despite being the first DP movie I've ever seen, it is also the only DP movie with no aspects I enjoy. I don't like the characters, animation or songs. I find nothing enjoyable about this movie and I have no desire to re-watch it. I don't hate this movie but I wouldn't say I like it either. My least favorite DP movie wth no doubt. There are adaptation of this fairytale I like more.

10. Sleeping Beauty

I love its animation, it's gorgeous and one of the best in Disney history. I feel like artistic style of Pocahontas was inspired by SB and...

A bit of a disclaimer:I think the main issue with ranking Elsa's favorite princesses is how mysterious her character truly is giving that it is drowning in anxieties and fears, and is also frankly more of a cardboard character- easier to project onto then to discern an actual personality. There are also 3 different Elsa's throughout the film- beginning movie Elsa, who is in control but paralyzed by fear, middle-movie Elsa who is on a high of letting her emotions take over and end movie Elsa who now understands that her emotions and powers can be controlled through "love" but is still practical...

Thanks to the ones who have recently commented on my articles :D. So, despite I have a lot of interests, I never get bored on picking mine and my friend’s Zodiac sign traits. I’m Sagittarius because I was born on 8th December. So now, let’s get started!

Snow White – Cancer

Popular Opinion, duh! She is Def a Cancer girl! Cancer people are kind, sweet, plucky, loyal, emotional and motherly. Emotionally grounded and fair to all, Snow White inspires us to always make the best out of a bad situation. The way she cares for the dwarves represents Cancer’s kind, cute and compassionate...

Tiaras....tiaras.....tiaras. Real princesses have crowns, what are even they without that? Sorry, it was a bit sassy. Only tiaras here, so yea, the females who don’t have a royalty status didn’t get into this ranking. This is an article about prettiest DP tiara!

11.    Tiana's after wedding tiara
First kill me, then I'll wear it
First kill me, then I'll wear it

Sure it suited Tia’s brown complexion and is extremely unique. But, meh, does unique always has to mean pretty? I don’t think so. It isn’t very nicely shaped for my taste and this tiara is too small. Ugh, I felt it’s a weird shape...

22 LUCIFER AND POM-POM

Awwww, I actually like this couple. Seeing Lucifer fall in loves just makes him seem vulnerable. It’s nice to see him in that light considering his actions in all three movies. Although it was so sweet to see the kinder side of him, he definitely got what he deserved. I’ve seen celeb couples last longer than these two. Going back on his word and helping Pom-Pom attack the mice who helped him get her in the first place. Not cool.

Funfums picked Lucifer and Pom-Pom:
I don't like this couple.

Party Time!!
Party Time!!
Since Halloween is coming, I'll write down some of the princesses favourite Halloween films.

1. Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera

I love this movie and I think it would be perfect for a Halloween party gathering for the princess together! It's about Erik, a deformed man living at the Opera House in Paris and needs love. Christine Daae, fell into a love triangle between Erik and Raoul, Vicomte De Chagny.

2. Stephen King's Rose Red

The spookiness in this miniseries is the best EVER! I love Stephen King because he's very original with his story, it's base on a mansion in Seattle.

Ella and Kit.
Hi guys, I will be writing 2 of my favourite Disney remake that were make into a live action reboot. I will write down on which of these 2 are my favourites, as well as how they inspired me.

Cinderella (2015)

One of the things I really like about this reboot of the 1950 classic, was that it teaches us to have faith and be kind. We also get to see how Ella manages to stand against her stepmother unlike her animated version, she also meets the prince before meeting him during the ball.

Beauty and the Beast (2017)

Like Cinderella, Belle has more screen-time including the Beast/ Prince Adam. Belle...

Hello Carrie!!!
Hello Carrie!!!
Hi guys, I have been a fan of Carrie Underwood from the day she auditioned on American Idol in 2005. So, here are my choice for which songs from her are going to be the DP's favourites.

1. Just a Dream

This song suits Snow White and Princess Aurora, because they sleep for the majority of their respective films.

2. Good Girl

Since Ella has been trying her best to be a good girl to both her stepmother and her stepsisters, this upbeat song makes Ella wants to dance too!

3. Something in the Water

Okay, I know that this song is very religious, but it also answers Ariel's prayers about uniting both...

Loving the cast!
Loving the cast!
Hi guys, I posted about these 2 songs on the Beauty and the Beast fanpage and now. Here are my thoughts on why the former has more meaning than the latter.

Strong Meaning

When Terrence Mann sang this on the Original Broadway cast, I cried my heart out because the beast voiced out his remorseful feelings for chasing Belle out of the West Wing. In fact, the song should also be in the 2017 version because the beast felt no remorse shortly chasing Belle out.

Dramatic Ending

Upon listening to Alan Menken's rendition, I was blown away from his performance and I personally wish that Dan Stevens would sing this song for the film, I'm dying to hear his version!

If I Can't Love Her

So, here are my two reasons on why I love the song, do tell me on what do you think and do you think that it should part of the film?

Ready to meet your live-action counterparts?
Ready to meet your live-action counterparts?
Hi guys, since I had watch 3 reboots of their respective Disney classics. Here are my opinions on which is better, the animated or the live-action version?

Maleficent

Okay, as mentioned, this film left me disturbed for a number of reasons. The first was how they make King Stefan turn into the dark side, whereas in Sleeping Beauty. He is not like that at all! (1959 Version)
Sadly, Aurora gets less screen-time like her animated counterpart. But, she's more bubbly like Snow White! So I would say that I admire both the animated and live-action Princess Aurora. (tied)

Cinderella

I was very happy...
