Hey, guys! Happy beginning of Autumn! Anyway, a few weeks ago, I decided that I would maybe think about rewatching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for the first time in nearly five years. After thinking about it a little more thought, I decided, why not ALL the Disney movies? Okay, not all of them because with online school, play practice, reading, baking, and cooking, I probably don't have time for that. But for those of you who are wondering what films I was thinking of watching or rewatching and writing about on Fanpop, here they are (I might put in links to the articles once I finish them): Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver and Company, The Little Mermaid, The Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Fantasia 2000, The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Lilo & Stitch, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, Meet the Robinsons, Bolt, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Winnie the Pooh, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia, Moana, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and Frozen II. I’ll be posting all of the Disney Princess and Frozen movies here on the Disney Princess page and the Disney page. But enough with explaining the idea behind the articles I’ll be writing, let’s get into today’s film, the one that started it all, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Note, this is my first article in the series and the format might change from review to review).
What were my feelings about the movie before this rewatch it?: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs isn’t necessarily a bad film, but I am not a really big fan of it. I’m not attached to it compared to other Disney movies I watched when I was a kid, so I think it is a bit easier to find flaws in the material. There are times when I felt like it was a little boring, Snow White makes some decisions that frustrate me, and the romance definitely could have been developed a lot better (although it was difficult to animate the Prince back then, so I can kind of excuse it). But with that aside, there are some notable good things about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This was the first-ever full length colored film, which probably is why it is still so popular even more than 80 years after being released to theaters, the visuals are great, and some of the characters are rather memorable like the Queen and the dwarfs. The first show I ever acted in was a version of Snow White, which I think is kind of cool. With all of that said, how do I feel about the movie now? Well, grab a blanket, hop on the couch, turn on Disney Plus, and let’s find out!
Highlights of the film/Things I kind of Forgot About: While I wouldn’t say Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has one of the best Disney soundtracks, the songs and score were surprisingly great and I found myself singing along now and then. My favorites would probably be I’m Wishing/One Song, Heigh Ho, and Someday My Prince will Come. One scene in particular I enjoyed was the party scene where Snow White and the dwarfs were dancing. I thought it looked like an enjoyable place to be at think it’s cool how they would later go on to reuse a lot of that animation for the party scene in Robin Hood. Moving along, the dwarfs were more entertaining in this rewatch than I remembered, and I love how they sometimes used the term Jiminy Crickets knowing how Pinocchio would come out three years later. I also really liked the scene where they’re sleeping downstairs, Dopey’s using a single feather for his pillow, and we see a fly sleeping on top of Sleepy’s nose, and how they say that they washed ‘recently.’ Speaking of the sidekicks in the film, the woodland creatures were just so cute! My favorite moments with them include when some of them were sleeping in the dwarfs’ beds before realizing they were coming home and when they are helping Snow White with chores. I forgot about how humorous the turtle was and how it took him so long to go from place to place compared to the other characters. One of the main things I was surprised about, though, was the Queen’s screentime. I felt as though she had less time on screen than I remembered, especially if you compare her to the other Disney Princess villains that came out near this time like Lady Tremaine or Maleficent. I still think that she is an intimidating villain and has a great design both as the Queen and the peddler.
Some of my problems with the Film: In terms of flaws about the film, I definitely think it was less boring than I remembered; some of the things I discussed near the beginning of the article didn’t change a lot with this rewatch. While I’m glad the animals brought Snow White to the dwarfs’ cottage in the first place, making it not as annoying when Snow White went in without a proper invitation, I still get a bit frustrated with how trusting Snow White was with the Queen disguised as a peddler and how she disobeyed a direct order of not letting anyone in the house while the dwarfs were at work. Moving along, I wish that the Prince was easy to animate back then so he could have had more screentime, his relationship with Snow White would be more fleshed out, and he could have had more of a personality. While him breaking into the castle wasn’t as creepy as I remembered, I still question why he kissed Snow White when she was supposedly dead. If he knew she was under the sleeping death and could be revived with a kiss, then it would have been fine, but he bowed his head after that because he thought she was dead, so I still will question his decision of kissing her even if it worked out in the end.
Random, Humourous, and Hopefully Not-Too-Offensive Questions I had while Watching: As the title of this part of the article says, here are just random questions I had while watching that I hope people don't take too much offense to. Why do the dwarfs keep the key outside of the door that the key locks and unlocks, I feel like it defeats the purpose of the key that way? Did the dwarfs change their names to fit their personality or did their parents know what their child’s personality was going to be like when they were older? Why do the dwarfs have so many bars of soap is they don't wash often? Finally, how sick is Sneezy if his sneezes are that powerful? Okay, that’s it, I just wanted to share those with you.
Final Thoughts after this Rewatch: Would I say this is ‘the Greatest Animated Feature of All Time’ like some people say? Probably not. Do I think this is a great movie with a huge impact on the history of Disney and film in general? I sure do now. It has great animation, entertaining characters, and memorable songs. If this is how I’m starting my Disney marathon, I can’t wait to see what else I’m getting from films I either haven’t watched or rewatched after a long time.

Next up is Pinocchio on the Disney Page and Cinderella on this page!

Me :D
Hey, guys. I'm Frozengirl11 and I joined Fanpop this month when I was browsing Google for a picture for an Art project...it was Elsa I was looking for. I found a pic of Elsa when she was transforming into the Snow Queen and I saw the website fanpop.com. I went to the page and I saw so many things, that I decided to make an account. I decided to do an article so that all of my 39 to hopefully 40 fans can get to know me better, as well as the members of the Disney Princess Fan Club. Hope you all enjoy this and feel free to comment on my article!!

AU where Belle is great at writing, and when Adam can't figure out how to correctly write trade letters to other kingdoms Belle does it for him

Thank you everyone for reading my first fan pop article! Let's start off by introducing myself. My name is Sarah and I'm sixteen years old. I live in the lovely state of New Hampshire! I have one brother and one sister. My sisters name is Jenny and my brothers name is Tim, even though he goes by Timmy. I have two dogs and a rabbit.

Rock would have to be my favorite type of music, but I also like some pop music. I really enjoy the band Mumford and Sons, but i also like Lorde. I really enjoy watching these two people on YouTube called Rhett and Link. They're really funny and come out with good...

My Original Thoughts

I absolutely loved Ariel. I can't really go in depth about it, because when I first saw it, I was really little. (Prolly about 5 or 6) But my feelings were pretty straightforward: she was a MERMAID & was pretty & a unique princess. I mean, I kinda wanted to be her. Who wouldn't want to live under the sea? I never really understood why she wanted be a human, though, because a mermaid was freaking amazing in my mind! Something...

As the sun settled down into the sky, Ariel watched as steam poured out of the crock-pot the cook was using. It made a popping noise once in awhile from all the boiling it was doing, which made her jump. She was curious, and wanted to ask what made it do that. But, she couldn't. Not after she gave her voice away. She touched her throat a bit, until someone pulled on her back. She turned her head to see the maid, short and plump, grumpy faced.
"You should be getting ready! Dinner's only in less than thirty minutes."
Ariel had a strong urge to fight back and tell her she couldn't boss her around...

Merida tossed and turned in her sleep. Flashbacks of that dreadful day had entered her mind. She was standing in her castle in front of Rapunzel and The Queen and Princess of Arendelle arguing. Suddenly, The Queen lost control and unleashed her powers. "ELSA, NO!" Anna cried out. But it was too late. Fergus was turned to frozen stone.

Merida let out a faint and brief scream as she sat up with a fright. She looked around and saw she was in the log cottage on the Jamestown territory. "Oh... Just a nightmare." Merida said to herself. She then heard both John and Shang snoring softly. Shang was...

Merida was worried.

I could get fired for this. I want to keep this job more than anything.

She wasn't sure if dragging Jasmine into the bushes was the best idea.

I wasn't supposed to do this, and now I'll get caught. she thought.

Afterwards she called her friend Ariel.

"Who are you?" Ariel asked.

"I'm your friend, Merida." Merida responded to her.

"I don't have a friend named Merida." Ariel replied back.

Merida hung up the phone. She then went to call Ariel's father to see what was going on.

"My poor daughter has amnesia." He explained. "I'm sorry Merida, but she won't remember you."

Merida...

Several months ago I wrote this fan fiction for the first time, many people seemed to love it, but I stopped writing because it was around the time Frozen was going to be released and after that I just lost an interest in writing fan fictions, but after reading some of the newer fan fictions here I decided to rewrite this fan fiction, differences from the last version? It'll have Anna (Kristen) and Elsa (Idina) in it and the stories will be different from the ones in the last one. I can already now tell you that some might be dark and when October comes I'll write a special Halloween story...

As usual, I have a hard time making lists so don't pay too much attention to the rankings and just read what I have to say.

12. Brave
If you've known me over a year ago, you'd know that I'm not much of a Pixar fan. Yes, I know I'm an awful person for discriminating between animation studios and this is Pixar we're talking about. So yeah, I'm guessing this is why I can't get into Brave no matter how hard I try, considering it's also one, if not, my least favorite Pixar movie.

11. The Princess and the Frog
I've had issues with Tiana in the past because of her inconsistent morals that gets shoved...

My list has changed a lot, so I thought I would remake it. However, I will only be doing my top 5 this time. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion and I'll respect yours. Enjoy the article! :)

5. Cinderella
Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I absolutely adore this movie. It was my childhood favorite when I was a little kid. I watched it so many times I couldn't count it, and it was my favorite movie ever. Ever since then, it's dropped a bit, but I still absolutely adore it. My favorite scene is where the Fairy Godmother makes Cinderella's...

Hello everyone. Today I'm going to make a getting to know me article. First if all, I know I'm posting this in the Disney Princess club instead of the random club, where I should put it, but I don't really talk to anybody on the random club and they'd be like "who's this person and when did they come here?" Anyways, Let's start getting to know me.

Okay, I decided to do this questions style, and let other users choose the questions. Now, enjoy the article! :)

1. What is your name? -Truth76

Mulan and Shang had walked in when they saw John and Merida on the ground in a circle praying for Pocahontas. Mulan listened carefully to what they were saying. "Please help Pocahontas get through this in your name." they said. "Should we join?" Shang asked. "Let them do this one by themselves." Mulan suggested. It wasn't long before John and Merida looked up and noticed her and Shang. "Come join us." Merida greeted. Mulan and Shang knelt down her and John and continued with the vigil.

"Ancestors, we need you now more than ever. Pocahontas is in great danger." Mulan prayed. "She can't afford...

Pocahontas was lying on the floor wishing the pain would stop. She held tight to her stomach as it stabbed her with increasing pain. She tried to get up, but the pain dragged her back down. As she fell back down, she felt her stomach cringe up so hard, it made her pain excruciating. She screamed as she struggled. The others heard her all the way from the kitchen and rushed to her. They were in the room in seconds.

"POCAHONTAS! What's wrong?" John asked frightened. "I DON'T KNOW!" Pocahontas screamed. She cried out once more. "Just calm down." John reassured. "Shang, ride into town and get the...

Bonjour! So today I just wanted to say a few things about me so people can get to know me better.

10 Random things about me:

1. I was born in Australia and I live there, therefore English is my first language but I also speak French (well, I've been learning it for four years, so I am not fluent but I want to continue until I am fluent.)

2. My favourite subjects at school are English, French and History

3. When I am older I hope to become a creative writer (author) but if that doesn't happen then a teacher

4. I am quiet, creative and (kind-of) intelligent. (I mean, I don't have much common sense,...

Yes, the title is very original! Basically, what you see in the title is what you get, so let's get to it!

Okay, so most of you already know that my name is Jackie, but...

It's not! *mindblown*

It's mainly because I don't want people to try track me down, since you never know who you can trust on the Interwebs. But, if I feel that you're close to me, then I'll probably tell you. Otherwise, just call me Jackie. I don't really mind. I'm 13 years old, much to lots of people's surprise, since I sound like I'm 18+, and I live in America. Specifically, California.

My username is pretty self explanatory....

I apologize if everybody is getting tired of these articles, but they are super interesting and I'm excited to write mine! Thank you dimitri_ for starting this awesome idea for an article! On with the show!

I would change my name to Belle!

It sounds so pretty and I like the way it rooks off your tongue. It also is spelled really pretty (weird thing to say about a name) and I would love writing it on homework and such.

I want Pocahontas' athleticism!

I am not the most athletic person in the world and I really suck at sports. It would be great to be more athletic or at least hate sports less.

1. I would change my name to Elsa
I have been obsessed with this name ever since I first heard about Frozen. It's just so pretty, and it would sound really good with my middle and last name :)

2. I would have Rapunzel's painting skills
Or, like her everything skills, because she's so good at everything. But mostly painting, that would be great. Or her cookie making skills, those look absolutely delicious.

3. I would want Tiana's mom
She seems so supportive of Tiana. Beside's, she's an epic dressmaker!
