Hey, guys! Happy beginning of Autumn! Anyway, a few weeks ago, I decided that I would maybe think about rewatching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for the first time in nearly five years. After thinking about it a little more thought, I decided, why not ALL the Disney movies? Okay, not all of them because with online school, play practice, reading, baking, and cooking, I probably don't have time for that. But for those of you who are wondering what films I was thinking of watching or rewatching and writing about on Fanpop, here they are (I might put in links to the articles once I finish them): Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver and Company, The Little Mermaid, The Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Fantasia 2000, The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Lilo & Stitch, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, Meet the Robinsons, Bolt, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Winnie the Pooh, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia, Moana, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and Frozen II. I’ll be posting all of the Disney Princess and Frozen movies here on the Disney Princess page and the Disney page. But enough with explaining the idea behind the articles I’ll be writing, let’s get into today’s film, the one that started it all, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Note, this is my first article in the series and the format might change from review to review).
What were my feelings about the movie before this rewatch it?: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs isn’t necessarily a bad film, but I am not a really big fan of it. I’m not attached to it compared to other Disney movies I watched when I was a kid, so I think it is a bit easier to find flaws in the material. There are times when I felt like it was a little boring, Snow White makes some decisions that frustrate me, and the romance definitely could have been developed a lot better (although it was difficult to animate the Prince back then, so I can kind of excuse it). But with that aside, there are some notable good things about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This was the first-ever full length colored film, which probably is why it is still so popular even more than 80 years after being released to theaters, the visuals are great, and some of the characters are rather memorable like the Queen and the dwarfs. The first show I ever acted in was a version of Snow White, which I think is kind of cool. With all of that said, how do I feel about the movie now? Well, grab a blanket, hop on the couch, turn on Disney Plus, and let’s find out!
Highlights of the film/Things I kind of Forgot About: While I wouldn’t say Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has one of the best Disney soundtracks, the songs and score were surprisingly great and I found myself singing along now and then. My favorites would probably be I’m Wishing/One Song, Heigh Ho, and Someday My Prince will Come. One scene in particular I enjoyed was the party scene where Snow White and the dwarfs were dancing. I thought it looked like an enjoyable place to be at think it’s cool how they would later go on to reuse a lot of that animation for the party scene in Robin Hood. Moving along, the dwarfs were more entertaining in this rewatch than I remembered, and I love how they sometimes used the term Jiminy Crickets knowing how Pinocchio would come out three years later. I also really liked the scene where they’re sleeping downstairs, Dopey’s using a single feather for his pillow, and we see a fly sleeping on top of Sleepy’s nose, and how they say that they washed ‘recently.’ Speaking of the sidekicks in the film, the woodland creatures were just so cute! My favorite moments with them include when some of them were sleeping in the dwarfs’ beds before realizing they were coming home and when they are helping Snow White with chores. I forgot about how humorous the turtle was and how it took him so long to go from place to place compared to the other characters. One of the main things I was surprised about, though, was the Queen’s screentime. I felt as though she had less time on screen than I remembered, especially if you compare her to the other Disney Princess villains that came out near this time like Lady Tremaine or Maleficent. I still think that she is an intimidating villain and has a great design both as the Queen and the peddler.
Some of my problems with the Film: In terms of flaws about the film, I definitely think it was less boring than I remembered; some of the things I discussed near the beginning of the article didn’t change a lot with this rewatch. While I’m glad the animals brought Snow White to the dwarfs’ cottage in the first place, making it not as annoying when Snow White went in without a proper invitation, I still get a bit frustrated with how trusting Snow White was with the Queen disguised as a peddler and how she disobeyed a direct order of not letting anyone in the house while the dwarfs were at work. Moving along, I wish that the Prince was easy to animate back then so he could have had more screentime, his relationship with Snow White would be more fleshed out, and he could have had more of a personality. While him breaking into the castle wasn’t as creepy as I remembered, I still question why he kissed Snow White when she was supposedly dead. If he knew she was under the sleeping death and could be revived with a kiss, then it would have been fine, but he bowed his head after that because he thought she was dead, so I still will question his decision of kissing her even if it worked out in the end.
Random, Humourous, and Hopefully Not-Too-Offensive Questions I had while Watching: As the title of this part of the article says, here are just random questions I had while watching that I hope people don't take too much offense to. Why do the dwarfs keep the key outside of the door that the key locks and unlocks, I feel like it defeats the purpose of the key that way? Did the dwarfs change their names to fit their personality or did their parents know what their child’s personality was going to be like when they were older? Why do the dwarfs have so many bars of soap is they don't wash often? Finally, how sick is Sneezy if his sneezes are that powerful? Okay, that’s it, I just wanted to share those with you.
Final Thoughts after this Rewatch: Would I say this is ‘the Greatest Animated Feature of All Time’ like some people say? Probably not. Do I think this is a great movie with a huge impact on the history of Disney and film in general? I sure do now. It has great animation, entertaining characters, and memorable songs. If this is how I’m starting my Disney marathon, I can’t wait to see what else I’m getting from films I either haven’t watched or rewatched after a long time.

Next up is Pinocchio on the Disney Page and Cinderella on this page!

While this is the second article I wrote about this list, this is the third time I did this countdown, the first one being a few years ago. Compared to last year's results, while some of the same stuff is on the list there's different placements and new stuff so let's check out how different this is!

10. The village, the rest of the army, and Shang’s father dead
Original placement: 5

While this one did have some users saying that while it was shocking, the moment we see the little doll Shan-yu had earlier is when they started to feel sad about this scene. This was a very sad scene once you get...

The one thing missing in Snow White and the seven dwarfs is any communication between Snow White and the Evil Queen . Unlike in Disney's Cinderella and tangled all of whom are step mum verses step daughter. Two different people Snow White kind, happy and a giving person, whilst the Queen is a harsh, mean and only cares for herself.

In Mirror Mirror there is a brilliant showing of this in one of the first scenes.

So Snow White is 18 today. She is sad, lonely and bored in her bedroom, a bird pops in and so Snow White feeds it, then she hears a fanfare coming from downstairs. Snow gets excited...

This is a movie I've been looking forward to rewatching for a while :) I love the Disney Princess movies (except maybe Brave, still need to watch that again) but The Little Mermaid brings back so much nostalgia for me. This movie isn't number 1 on my favorite DP movie list but it's still one of my all-time favorite movies.

Today's rewatch: The Little Mermaid
Last time watched: 2017

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
I hope you're all comfortable because this is going to be a long one. When I was little mermaids were my favorite thing and it was all because of The Little Mermaid. For the...

Okay so I didn't even need to watch this today because I was able to watch it a few days ago at a birthday party :P I would have put this up then but I wanted to stay consistent.

Sunday's rewatch: Beauty and the Beast
Last time watched: Valentine's Day 2017

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
So, like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, this movie scared me when I was little because of how scary some of the animation was. When this movie was released on dvd for the first time in 2002 or 2003, I didn't want to watch it because I thought I was still going to be scared of it. But then my stepmom...

Hello Maleficent.
Hello Maleficent.
Hi guys, an idea had struck me on writing this article. It is a comparison between Wicked and Maleficent, are you ready?

The Story

Although the film is like Wicked, but Maleficent is a darker and Gothic version of Wicked. Mainly because of how the film is portrayed.
Whereas Wicked is more lighter despite that it has some darker approach at some point of the film, so I would not label it as Gothic.

The Characters

Princess Aurora is very much like Glinda, because the 2 protagonists are optimistic and blonde-haired! They tried to persuade the 'Villain' (both Elphaba and Maleficent) to be good.

Notes: This is a re-write of a Frozen Fanfiction I wrote on a previous Fanpop account, Windrises. This is a story for both this website and Fanfiction.net.

Princess Anna and Queen Elsa were at their kingdom. Anna said "Tonight me and Kristoff are going to go to the city's new restaurant."

Elsa said "You better behave more mature than usual." Anna asked why. Elsa said "The new restaurant is really fancy. It has a the "no shirt, no shoes, no service" policy."

Anna said "Do they really care that much about shoes?"

Elsa said "I heard a guy wearing flip flops got rejected."

Anna said "That's kind of...

Wedding of the Century!
Wedding of the Century!
Hi guys, since I am watching a documentary about Princess Diana. I will be writing a few wedding march music when the Princesses march to their love ones down the aisle, ready?

1. Wedding Voluntary/ Prince of Denmark's March (Jeremiah Clarke)

Okay, we heard this piece of music when Diana walked down the aisle at St. Paul's Cathedral in 1981. I prefer this interpretation because it sounds majestic.

2. Wedding Tune (Henry Purcell)

This is also another majestic music, it woud be when all the princesses march together if their wedding are together!

3. And Did Those Feet in Ancient Time (William Blake)...

Hey look! It's Lady Rose MacClare! No, it's Cinderella! Actually, it's Natasha!!!
Hey look! It's Lady Rose MacClare! No, it's Cinderella! Actually, it's Natasha!!!
Hi everyone, I have been a fan of Russian history too and upon discovering Leo Tolstoy's classic, War and Peace. Here are my personal opinion on whether or not Disney should do it and to make Countess Natasha Rostova or her other Princess friends to become the first Russian Princesses as official DP.

Yes, A Russian Princess!

We definitely need a Russian princess in the line-up, in this story, there are more than 1 princess! So, since Natasha is the main character, she might be added alongside Princess Maria and Princess Elena despite that Natasha is only a countess.

The Story Is Very Long-Winded

Okay, So the story is split in 4 parts of the book. It will be to long winded, unless Disney is bold enough to shorten certain parts of the story as long as it does not omit out certain important and prominent part of the story.

Time for Imperial Russia?

So, are you ready for Disney's very own Russian princess?

The Mouse's Sorting Hat was one of my favorite blogs on tumblr that I used to read in the golden era of late 2013 to early 2015. It was then a prolific blog that sorted many characters in the respective Hogwarts houses of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Whenever I requested a character, the sorting would immediately come. Things went smooth, slow, steady, and ready, until my senior year, that was the dark days of late 2015 to early 2016. By that time, the blog had redesigned, but they weren't making any posts those days. I tried to message them, but they couldn't receive my messages. I sighed. I still tried to request, but the posts couldn't come. I sighed again, so I tried to reblog their posts on my blog. Unfortunately, the founder deleted the blog one day, and I felt saddened. Here are their sortings of the princesses:

It's been about 2 months now (maybe even a bit longer) since the last time I logged onto Fanpop but that hasn't stopped the trolls.

As some of you may know, I had started here just trying to make friends from all over and get different point of views and understand other people better. Unfortunately, I didn't find many people who were good-hearted, open-minded and trustworthy and therefore I didn't get to make so many friends.

Instead, what I found was that there were more people here who are willing to hate and condemn than try to change and help or even just understand and accept. They rely...

Hello Anna!
Hello Anna!
Hi guys, since I had done with Elsa's international version of her signature song for the movie version. Now, it's Anna's turn on her singing voice since she has more songs apart from 'For the First Time in Forever'. I will also rate their voices as well!

Japanese (Kanda Sayaka)

Since Manga & Anime are my favourite, Japan specialises in this and I'm glad that her voice suits Anna, especially in For the First Time in Forever and Love is an Open Door. (9.5/10)

Indonesian (Nadia Rosyada)

Her singing style is a bit heavy, especially in the For the First Time in Forever Reprise, but she puts in...
