Disney Princess Question

Are there any Disney princess sequels that are bearable?

I keep on re-watching Disney princess movies again and again, I think I should watch sequels now but the problem is that I don't like them. I hated Mulan 2, it didn't live up to the first one. The best I've seen so far is Cinderella III. Still, I don't think it's anything special. Let me know which ones you thought were worth watching :)

I like all of them except The Little Mermaid 3: Ariel's Beginning. I think the best is Beauty and The Beast 2: Enchanted Christmas. I think you should also check out The Little Mermaid 2: Return To The Sea, Aladdin and The King of Thieves, and Aladdin 2: The Return of Jafar. They're really good.

I'm with you on that, except for the Little Mermaid 2 and 3 are the vice versa.

I love TLM 3. I like 2 as well but its almost the same story just reversed, but its still cute to see Ariel and Eric with their daughter.

Cinderella III is my favorite of them. I think that Beauty and the Beast II and The Little Mermaid II are the only other ones that I'd say I like. The other ones I'm neutral to or dislike/loathe. Hope to have helped!

I like them all, don't have a problem with any of them. I would say keep an open mind and view them all at least once.

I thought I was the only person in universe who genuinly enjoyed Pocahontas 2. I will go as far as saying that it's my favourite sequel.

you're not. many people say they hate it, just because she didn't end up with John smith..they don't even bother to actually see the movie and enjoy the different story, characters and songs.it's all about the couples -__-

I like Pocahontas 2. At least she got to see John. I do wish they got together though.

Aladdin and the King of Thieves is really good if you can get past the horrible animation. Pocahontas 2 is really good if you can get past her leaving Smith for Rolfe. BatB Enchanted Christmas is a classic, but some people not like Belle's change of character. Like you said, Cinderella 3 is great. TLM 2 is not as bad as everyone thinks. I personally love Mulan 2 though, even if it's cheesy and turns Mushu into an ass. And Tangled ever After, if you count it, was great of course. Return of Jafar had it's moments, but it varies how much people like it.
I think the DP sequels tend to be better than normal Disney sequels. They have more of a legacy to live up to. The only ones I ever remember disliking are the rejected TV show type ones and TLM 3 (because it treated it's audience like 3 year olds).

I agree with you. Pocahontas 2 is actually a very well done sequel, it has beautiful music, especially "Where do I go from here" and I think the film itself gave Pocahontas a lot of space to grow as a person and mature in many ways, exploring the world and coming to a realization that she really belongs in one place, her land, because her connection with it is unbreakable. Smith and Rolfe are pretty much irrelevant when it comes to the beauty of her story. First movie left it largely unresolved but the second movie gave it a nice closure. TLM 2 was also pretty good, especially considering how adorable it was to see Ariel and Eric with their daughter, happily married after all those years.

I know, Pocahontas 2 was one of my favourite movies as a kid. I was a huge Pocahontas junkie, and I remember watching the sequel much more often than the original.

I like that Belle changed. She was more flawed and not a mary-sue. I love Belle in the sequels.

Well, this is all a matter of personal opinion, as every movie is. But IMO....yes.

Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas
Little Mermaid 2 & 3
Cinderella 2- 3 is okay, kind of dumb IMO
Mulan 2- you finally get to see her and Shang get married
Pocahontas 2- is fun
Aladdin 2 and 3
thats all the ones I care for.

My personal favourites are Cinderella 3, although I will always prefer original movie to it, but it had magic and depth and beautiful music that most sequels almost completely lack; Pocahontas 2 because despite how much of an unpopular opinion it is, I think it was a very quality movie, with good music and a theme of growing up and maturing, finding your own way in life and it also gave Pocahontas as a character a good personality growth because this time she isn't just being spontaneous and dashing but gets to face real struggles about what path she should choose andactually works to help her people and travels to the other side of the world only to realize that there is no place like her land where she belongs completely. Smith and Rolfe thing does not bother me in a slightest because I never cared for either guy or either couple.

Also I would add Mulan 2, TLM 2 and Tangled Ever After here. The latter is not a real sequel but it's incredibly cute and gives Rapunzel's story a real happily ever after.
