As the motto is 'shippy' it's not really fair to other shippers or just neutral fans that don't care about ships at all.

I posted the option to vote on this pick in the Bonnie/Jeremy spot as well as the Damon/Elena spot. Why? Because most DE/JB fans that are fans of Bonnie don't feel welcome here. You're all so territorial and feel the need to 'claim' Bonnie, so they don't come here at all. So I wanted to give them an actual chance to vote.

If you don't see an issue with this motto being on the BONNIE spot (when it says nothing about Bonnie, it's talking about Damon) then you are bias by your shipping preferences.

I'm sure even a few DB shippers will agree. Well...maybe not any here. The reasonable ones.

Actually i would not mind a beremy quote as motto WHEN this expires. Because even if i am a tv show fan, not a book series fan, i find a slight impossibility to find a bonnie quote that talks about bonnie only.

When April turns around, ypou can add whatever new pick you want and the majorty will decide the best option. But chjanging now, only because you want every evidence of Bamon erased, is DISRESPECTFUL to the fans who RECENTLY voted it.

I like the motto, but I can see why people who haven't read the book wouldn't understand that this quote portrays book Bonnie's navite and innocence. So to be fair, I think the motto should be changed when the show comes back on. Maybe then, there might be cool Bonnie quotes we could use from the new episode.

Oooookay. I'm going to be honest, I've always found that the motto could have been better, because it's Bonnie talking about someone else and therefore it doesn't show much about who she is as a character.
On the other hand, I agree about the fact that it shows some aspects of her personality (in the books) : the naiveness, the cuteness, etc...

If it's not too long, maybe we can wait to change it (and actually I prefer when everything changes together :the icon, banner and motto. And since the look's new ... :/). Let me just clear things up. This was how the motto was chosen.

1. I made a pick asking all Bonnie fans if they wanted the motto changed AFTER I changed the banner and icon

2. Majority said yes. And damongirlfriend also volunteered to make a forum for suggestions.

3. Alot of users submitted their suggestions, which was open for a number of days the pick was made

4. I posted on the wall several times telling everyone to vote

5. After a few days the polls were closed and the winning motto chosen

Its not that everyone wanted a shippy motto its what BONNIE FANS liked from the suggestions that won. So please stop trying to turn this into a war all of you. I doubt a non-book fan would even know who she's talking about..just someone very dangerous, which is what makes it so silly and comical - classic Bonnie M. And I'd like to point out that the spot belongs to her too. We have both of them in the banner BB in the icon and everyone voted for a book quote so BM there - so it's all balanced naturally. It's all in harmony :)

^ 5 days is when the pick closes. I want to give everybody a chance to vote. Well that's like 3-4 wks away, so it's not like it would matter. I'm not saying change it right NOW (though I would prefer it) I'm saying after we got all the suggestions and made the pick. By that time the hiatus would basically be over. I doubt we're going to get a quote in the new episode, so I see no point in waiting til then anyway.

^The point of waiting is that we would change the overall look of the spot in one go. Its unfair to the fans who liked this motto, saw that it changed around the same time as the banner/icon and are gonna be wandering if the effort of suggesting/picking/voting was a waste of energy.

You can make your forum after this poll closes and it should be ample enough time for suggestions to come in, and your pick will be just in time for the spot makeover.

i like beremy and i like bamon and i'm pretty sure i would like any guy that bonnie is with as long as they make her happy. that being said, i really dont see why anyone would find this motto offensive. it's not like it gives anyone's name specifically and i think its a pretty good representation of bonnie's character in the books. if you guys decide to change the motto though i have a few suggestions :) i think these are really important quotes said by bonnie in the show-

"i have a feeling that this is just the beginning"
-this one is really good cause it symbolizes the start of the show and the start of bonnie's abilities :)

-this one is perfect! it pretty much sums bonnie up in two simple lines. she's badass, powerful and can take down her fair share of vamps :) although i understand if you guys dont want to use it cause this group is for both book bonnie and show bonnie and this quote is really only represents show bonnie.
